    What a Night!

by PM on 2024-04-23Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

Absolutely wonderful experience to get lost in for a few hours ! The venue , the cast , the way it was told made you go back in time and use your imagination. The dancing was incredible along with acting . If only everyone in that theater could see their faces as the detail they portray is amazing !The theater is big but so gorgeous!! So many tense moments at the end -your heart was pounding which maybe should have ended on that tense incredible note . Overall it was beautiful! The music and costumes were also amazing . Very mesmerizing experience!!

    Absolutely incredible!

by SM on 2024-04-18Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

This was an incredible show! I did not know how I would feel about seeing a version of Hamlet without any speaking, but I was captivated and blown away! The dancing was spectacular! Ophelia’s drowning was mesmerizing. Would have loved to see more of her and the romance between her and Hamlet in the show. Highly recommend seeing this if you ever have the chance!!

by SH on 2024-04-11Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

Synchronizing masterful dance talent , storytelling, that unfolds an intensely portrayed script that leaves you wanting more romance and drama . The staging, cast and music brillant . Lightning very cool for the scene - would be great to see more in group dances to connect more with the expressions. Enjoyed it immensely!!

An amazing performance. Dancers were exceptional and conveyed the story completely without words. The music matched the story and the dance perfectly and the set design was inspired! I can't emphasis enough what a wonderful performance this was and how blessed I was to have seen it.

    Shakespeare dances

by Billthebard on 2024-04-10Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

To be honest I didn't know the whole play would be done in dance. I didn't think it was possible. Literally 1 minute in I knew this was going to be special. Shakespeare is all about language and the language of dance exceeded my expectations. How can you even say that when words are literary what makes Shakespeare, or so I thought. This is the best Hamlet I've ever seen. In an A.I post written language world we may have found the one universal human language-dance.

    Hamlet the Ballet

by LuLu on 2024-04-10Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

This was a stupendous performance. The stage setting was superb and captured the tone of the play with minimal props. The dancers were incredible and I really enjoyed the street dancers who were incorporating their free style into ballet rules and of course Mr G Cote with Mr R Lepage did an excellent job of interpreting the play in a different art form. I cannot wait for more new material from Mr Cote and his dance company. A truly exhilarating experience to be part of such an exceptional production. More please - we definitely need more of such high calibre work.
