Amazing good bye show to Hamilton!!!!

by RedsoxKlint on 2016-08-17Air Canada Centre - Toronto

What a show, couldn't ask for more, great hits and some special tunes that you don't hear all that often. Gord told a great story about playing to an empty house in Hamilton. Venue did a good job getting people in on time ( this is an exact opposite to a concert that I saw here only three weeks ago). Catch you on the flip side.

    Epic Farewell!

by sixsigma on 2016-08-16Air Canada Centre - Toronto

I've seen the Hip live before and they were great. But this show was next level. I don't know if it was the band or the audience or both but I've never been to a show that felt this good before.

A sad farewell to an old favourite

by koalatea on 2016-08-16Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The Tragically Hip are on their last tour of Canada and they are leaving it all out there. I knew I had to go to the show as soon as it was announced. I loved every minute of the concert. I was disappointed that a few of my favourites weren't played (New Orleans is Sinking and Blow at High Dough) but understand it was an album tour not just a farewell tour and that they couldn't just play all the hits.

    The Hip Are Hip

by Topfueler on 2016-08-16Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Like a pilgrimage of a spiritual kind, we all came to share THE LOVE, that we all have as Canadians for OUR Tragically Hip. The evening was like a dream, that you never wanted to wake up from. So full of love and happiness , that you never ever wanted them to leave the stage. Gordie's courage gave us all strength, and you could see that in the hugging, dancing, fist-pumping and yes, crying. This show and performance is one of the best my wife and I have witnessed in Toronto. And we have seen a lot of concerts over the years. Gord and his band of Hipsters brought the house down, song after song!! Our Canada, Our Tragically Hip. We are so PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!!

Unbelievable concert. The band let it all out! Gord was so good. It was my fourth time seeing them live and this show blew all the others away.

    Soul music!

by habsalot on 2016-08-15Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The band showed they are true purveyors of their craft. Their collective unified sound, like that of a vintage muscle car rumbling under the passion play of their singer underscored the evening. The human element always at the forefront as the driver necessary for the machine to function. The poignancy of the event, the fragility of a life, not lost on a soul in attendance, nor those who remained close, though not physically present, was overcome with the solace of a man and his mates who left their hearts out for all to see. The vision of natural landscapes on the big screen to draw you close, a Canadian defined!

    We'll miss the Hip

by BuAndDa on 2016-08-15Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Amazing concert, very memorable. There should have been three times as many booths selling concert shirts etc.; the wait and line up were unacceptably long. they could have anticipated big demand, especially after the first show. As for the ACC, the beer was hopelessly overpriced as usual.

    Tragically Hip Toronto Aug.12/16

by Chicopeaches on 2016-08-15Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Probably the worst seats I've had for my 30 or so Hip shows but still the best I've ever seen them. Flawless, perfect performance with so much emotion. Can not wait to see them again in Kingston which should prove to be EPIC !

    Excellent, special and inspirational

by jasonipod2 on 2016-08-13Air Canada Centre - Toronto

I was very lucky to score a pair of tickets for the Tragically Hip concert at the Air Canada Centre on Friday, August 12 through the fan club pre-sale. I took my dad to the concert. There were no opening act and the Hip started at 8:35 PM. Gord Downie was in great form despite his terminal illness and really didn't talk much to the crowd for most of the show, just going through songs after songs. They played for two hours and 15 minutes. At the end of the main set and well as the two encore, the band members left Gord alone on stage so that he can have a moment with the crowd. Plus, at the end of the first encore, all the members gave Gord a kiss on the cheek and hugs. Overall, the concert was excellent, special, emotional as well as inspirational. If this is the last time I go see the Hip, I definitely ended on a great note. Thank you for the great music over the year and thank you for an excellent concert.

    Electrifying and Sentimental Night

by MBSM on 2016-08-12Rexall Place - Edmonton

Although at times my eyes welled up knowing it will likely be the last time I see the Hip live (one of the greatest live bands ever), the night was nothing short of amazing. Rather than being a performance filled with melancholic memories, it was an amazing performance that transcended both the present and the past. The Hip put on a great performance and the crowd emphasized their appreciation. Never have I seen Rexall Place so full for a concert and with every person on their feet. A touching farewell that both band and fans deserved.

The Hip did not disappoint but Ticketmaster did.

by VWGirl on 2016-08-11MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Truly a concert to remember. The band sounded amazing as usual and the crowd was feeling their energy. Too bad Ticketmaster let scalpers buy so many tickets. Thousands of loyal fans were crushed that they could attend.

    No Seating Required

by CMJI on 2016-08-09MTS Centre - Winnipeg

It was absolutely beautiful, as everyone was standing from the moment the Hip came on and until it was over. Charged with emotions and energy from fans to band and band to fans! Never seen anything like it in all the many concerts I've been to in my 46 years. The boys from Kingston did it right!
