    Good historic performance

by Arkin on 2022-10-05Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

What can you say the Who had been around all of my life. Amazing to see these guys still going strong at close to 80 years old. Still amazing and I was happy to see them in 2022 performing like they were 20 years younger. Good luck for any of the modern rock bands to last this long. Thanks for the memories!

    The Who The best!!!

by Sherry on 2022-10-05Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

We had great seats and the sound was incredible!!! Roger Daltrey can still hit all the notes and screams. Pete Townsend was so personable with his quips. It is in my top 3 concerts of all time....and I've seen many greats!!

    Wow! What a f'king GREAT concert! 🤯🤘❤️

by Livitup on 2022-10-05Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Wow! What a f'king GREAT concert! 🤯🤘❤️ I'm still reeling and watching replays on YouTube! It was so AWESOME! 😍👍👍 Steven Page (formerly of the BNL - Why he doesn't reunite with them, I don't know. Time heals all wounds and BNL should get back together). He played many of their songs and was a welcomed surprise. I wasn't sure who the opening act would be. Very cool. 👍🇨🇦😎 This was my 1st Who concert EVER and I am so glad I got the tickets!🤘😜 I don't know if it was because it was my 1st time seeing The Who or if it was such a long time of not going to any concerts or seeing live music during the pandemic, but it really made me feel joyful! The best I ever felt in a long time! It was transcendental and almost an out of body experience, especially during Love, Reign o'er Me! Amazing! 😍 Pete Townshend is a GENIUS (I dare you to challenge this!) 🤯🙏🤩 Anyway it was an AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME Concert! I am so glad that I finally got to see The Who! At one point I also felt like I was the only one in the stadium that they were playing for and I was (from what I saw, the only one headbanging and chair dancing to every song in my section) unfortunately, no upgrade this time, but it was still very cool and I have to say that those seats in the 300's are so steep, I had a little vertigo when I say down. 😵‍💫😎❤️👍🇬🇧 The mix of classical and rock - Genius is not a strong enough word! Mind blowing 🤯Yes! AWESOME! Definitely! 💖😍🥰 I felt like I was drunk and this morning felt like I had a hangover, even though I only drank water! And speaking of water. Why, oh why do they take the caps off the water bottle?????!!!! 😤 It's so frickin' annoying! I discussed it with the cashier, the Usher and the Security Guard. All with a weak argument, "I don't know... they're worried you might throw the bottle.... it's a trip hazard... You may throw the cap..." Yadda, yadda, yadda 🙄 REALLY???? Who the heck did this stupid thing in the 1st place, to make them take the bottle cap off? It doesn't make any sense and the Usher agreed with me. I have a good mind to write to Scotiabank Arena and tell them what a dumb policy that is, when there was a ton of bottles and popcorn bags etc., On the floor, that could have been used as a weapon of sorts & I could have tripped on that! Not my water bottle. 🙄 It does NOT make any sense and Smart Water sucks! I hate the taste of it. 🤮🤬 Besides that, it was an AMAZING CONCERT and I can't wait for the next one. Hopefully, they'll still be around. Even if they were too old and came out in wheelchairs with an IV unit, I bet they would still put on an AWESOME show and ROCK! 🤘💖🙏🇬🇧🤩😎🎶 #imisslivemusic #thewhohitsback

    The Best I’ve Ever Had!

    by J. A. on 2022-10-05Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Flawless, musically true to the original sound. Creatively interactive, Pete is and always will be a treasure. Roger still has an amazing capacity for those strong vocals. The orchestra obviously loves playing the WHO’s music. I knew the lyrics to every song, such a treat! I am so glad I got to see the show. Well done, lads!! 5+⭐️‘S

    Fantastic Capstone!

by Pete in TO on 2022-10-05Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I am a huge 40+ year WHO fan and have seen them from 1980 onwards. In 2019 Roger’s voice gave out in Toronto so I was a bit tentative as to how he would be 3 years later. Our faith was rewarded — he was spectacular, and challenging numbers like Love Reign O’er Me and WGFA were energetic, brilliant, and delivered with total conviction. The whole set list was fabulous. Went with my children (in their 20’s) and they were blown away as well. What a gift to see them so accomplished this late in their career. I loved it. A+++++

Meet the new band. Same as the old band.

by Rick on 2022-10-05Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

The sound at Scotia Arena was amazing. Daltrey and Townsend were absolutely brilliant. Drummer was very similar to Moon. Incredible fills. To top it off they had an orchestra that provided a powerful and emotional sound. During final song Baba Oriley. The lead violinist along with Townsend and Daltrey exploded at the end of song the pushed goosebumps everywhere. What an experience I will never forget.

    Who

by John on 2022-10-05Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

The stage show was a disappointment - understandable given that they're all around 80. The songs were great!

    Great show!

by Johnnymo on 2022-10-05Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

THE WHO kicked ass on Sunday night. We were second row. Sound was great, crowd was great. Such a good venue to see a concert. Townshend was hilarious. Most fun I’ve ever seen him. Loved that he mentioned the 1982 tour several times in his banter. Roger kicked ass vocally….as a vocalist myself, I only hope I can still sing as well as he does when I reach his age. Powerful and energetic. We had a great time.

    They’ve Still Got It!

by Babs on 2022-10-05Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Even in their late 70’s, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend put on a helluva show in Toronto!! They are fit and strong, and I could not believe how great Daltrey still sings, amazing!! Not to mention Pete’s doppelgänger brother Simon helping out on vocals and guitar, and Ringo’s son Zak on the drums, what a madman! ;-) It was my first time at the Scotiabank Arena and I have to say I LOVE the layout of that place! Bars everywhere, even real bars where you can get a proper mixed drink and the lineups are not long! When you include a bit of a deal we got with Priceline on a room at the Sheraton hotel nearby, just a fabulous evening all around! <3

The Who? With an orchestra? Keith is revolving in his grave!

by Old time Ken on 2022-10-05Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I was devastated to see this incredible four piece band proceed to comandeer their stage with literally a phalanx of orchestration musicians. When they started playing I was astounded that the first 15-20 minutes was purely a musical odyssey of rambling orchestration. I have loved this band since they released Can’t Explain and I can see for miles and what I Loved was the straight forward rock origins they delivered time and time again throughout their career. Straight up high energy in your face rock! I felt the orchestrations robbed them of the raw energy that the Who always delivered due to their ability to play and deliver the frustration fueled onslaught of sound that was the signature of the Who and our generation. They reached a few pinnacles of their origins in their renditions of Reign Or Me and Who are you. Bubba Riley was a masterpiece … again! But I couldn’t help think that some of the musical selections they played were meant to take advantage of full orchestration as opposed to delivering the music WHO lovers loved them for? I was happy to be there to see two giants of rock (Pete and Roger) deliver what likely is their swan song. Just wish they’d done so sticking a little closer to their roots.

    Who's on First?

    by ran14fan on 2022-10-05Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

The orchestra brought a new dimension to the rock concert. Sound and arrangement was spectacular. Pete Townshend was full of wit, graciois, and entertaining, and he pulled off a few windmills, which I always loved! Roger Daltrey's voice was better and richer than ever, and Zac Starkey pounded the skins like a machine, never relenting. Overall, the show was an amazing experience, which I would pay to see again for sure! Steven Paige was also a pleasant surprise... he has certainly honed his skills as a solo artist, since the last time I saw him. Overall, the entire show never disappointed!

    Wish they played more classics!

by Richard on 2022-10-05Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Phenominal to see them in 2022. Priceless. Just wished they would have played more of the classics like My Generation, Substitute, Cant Explain.

This concert was Amazing! From the surprise opening act to The Who, I was blown away. Peter’s brother in the band, I believe the drummer was Ringo’s son and the violinist was mind blowing! Worth the money

Echoes of The Who:But Grateful to See Them Again!

by Snegit on 2022-10-05Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Muddy Sound, EVEN after Pete put new batteries in his hearing aids, we could here them feeding back through his Mic. “Won’t Get Fooled Again” IS Not A Mid Set song. No energy, No FEELING… BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!! “Interesting” song choices, not my “A” list. Pete talked more in that one show then at the 8 previous times combined that I’d seen them! — On the really positive side my wife loved seeing them for the first time ever! Nice to hear Pete being amicable and joyful live, makes me feel like we can ALL evolve. The ticket was the most I’d ever paid to see them and the furthest from the stage I’ve ever sat, seeing The WHO! I hope they figure the sound out and find the same enthusiasm for their music that the fans have for the balance of the tour… But even if they don’t, it’s a blessing to be able to experience Pete and Roger on the Same Stage Together and for that they have my undying Gratitude for Going on the Road when so many others can’t or won’t.
