About

Theory of a Deadman is the first Canadian rock band to sign with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger’s 604 Records. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 2002, Theory of a Deadman has blazed their own path with multiple-platinum albums in Canada, and 2008’s Scars & Souvenirs became one of their bestselling albums worldwide when it reached No. 26 on the Billboard 200 chart. Known for their rock anthems and introspective ballads, Theory of a Deadman have found success in Canada and abroad with chart-topping singles like “Bad Girlfriend,” “Rx (Medicate),” “Lowlife” and “History of Violence” — all of them topping Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. The Canadian rockers have toured worldwide with bands like Nickelback, Mötley Crüe, Bush, Shinedown and Skillet.

  • Theory of a Deadman would have been great if......

    by Candycane5 on 2012-12-19Interior Savings Centre - KamloopsRating: 2 out of 5

I thought the song choices were great, the energy of the band was great, would have been an awesome show but the sound was terrible! Sounded like he was singing into a pillow. I had a hard time understanding what he was saying even when he was just talking between songs. I have seen many concerts in that building and the sound has been better so I don't think it's the building's acoustics to blame here. Very disappointing as they are a great Canadian band and I enjoy a their music but I left the concert feeling ripped off.....I could have stayed home and listened to their music at home on my stereo.

  • Theory was rockin the house!

    by Anjelika1 on 2012-12-19Interior Savings Centre - KamloopsRating: 5 out of 5

Theory was awesome. They were fun friendly and talented as hell! Was a slow night in Kamloops and not the turnout that should have been there!! Would have loved an encore but fabulous show.

  • Awesome show!

Theory of a Deadman really know hows to interact with the crowd, make you get up and dance and raise the roof! Big Wreck was awesome as well - Ian Thornley is an amazing performer and rocker

  • I forgot why I loved Theory Of A Deadman

by SonjaFM on 2012-12-16Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Awesome! With the exception of a bit too loud, take ear plugs would have been perfect!

  • Left early

by Anonymous on 2012-12-15Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 1 out of 5

Terrible sound quality. When you can't hear the lead singer over the bass and the drums it's a waste of time. Should have gone acoustic or no band at all, just him and his own guitar. I'm not sure why concerts have to overpower the singer to the point it's pure distortion.

  • THEORY OF A DEADMAN WAS GREAT!!

by fivetone on 2012-12-11Spectra Place - EstevanRating: 5 out of 5

Wow! Well worth the money! Drove over 400km just to see the show in a small town venue...the show was phenomenal.

I liked the show a lot both big wreck and theory of a deadman were great.

  • Want to see Big Wreck /Theory of a Deadman AGAIN

by RangerRue on 2012-12-10Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Would give the men with guitars a 4 out 5 for their show in Winnipeg. Please return!

  • Theory of a Big Wreck

by RedLakeGeo on 2012-12-08Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Great Show, not sure why Big Wreck opened for Theory of a Deadman, but both bands rocked out. Fun Times.

  • Charm City Devils ROCK!!!!

by propsdude on 2012-11-06Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

Love Theory because we're from Vancouver. Have seen them a couple of times already. Was cool to see them play in the USA where they have so many fans. BUT we went to see Charm City Devils this time. The hottest rock band to come out in a long time! Their album Sins is amazing - every song rocks!!!

  • Extremely dissapointed

    by km88 on 2012-09-19Hamilton Place - Hamilton, OntarioRating: 2 out of 5

This review is for the concert back in February at Hamilton Place. I'm honestly not surprised by the negative reviews at this show specifically. The sound was laughable. Iv always been told Hamilton Place is a fantastic venue and the sound was great. Not the case for Theory. You could barely hear Tyler's voice through the majority of the songs and during "The Bitch Came Back", the entire sound cut out on one of the guitars. Unless they improve their sound, I would never spend another dime on seeing this band live, and this is coming from a big fan.

  • Theory sounded like the radio

by seered on 2012-03-19Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

I have passed at seeing the boys live before, but this time decided to take a shot. The sound was awesome, and being a home town show I thought they brought some geniune energy to their performance. All in all a good show, but I left thinking... I would have liked some more original material on their new album. I am not sure if their latest effort stacks up to their past albums.

  • Bleeker Ridge & Theory of a Dead Man awsome!

by Banka on 2012-02-18Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Bleeker Ridge was my reason for driving all the way down to the city so I knew what I was in for with these guys and they "Put Out" as usual!!!! 5 star for these guys. My husband and i both love Theory!!! and they are definatly worth seeing!

  • Theory of a Deadman delivered

by jkjb on 2012-02-13Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show, songs, lights, they played new stuff old stuff, we had the best time!!

  • Theory was amazing, and so was Jordon cook

by Kase on 2012-02-13Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

When Jordon Cook came on stage within the first 2 minutes I had to run back out front and buy his cd. this guy is fricking amazing. I do really like Theory of a deadman and have listened to there music for years now but if it was a toss up of seeing one of these guys over the other I would have chosen Jordon Cook... this guy needs to be on the radio and playing in stadiums not just a warm up goup. If you get the change listen to him... the cd Seven Deadly Sins I enjoy every track and thats rare even for a big band.

  • by Anonymous on 2012-02-12Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Both Bleaker ridge and theory of a deadman were great.

  • Way to loud for venue

by bjas on 2012-02-11Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 1 out of 5

Sadly disappointed... had fantastic seats, they played all good songs but they were way to loud for Hamilton Place which resulted in the sound being really distorted.

  • Theory of a Deadman was an awesome show!!!

    by BritFloydFan17 on 2012-02-10Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 4 out of 5

Hamilton Place is a terrific venue for a small, intimate concert. Theory of a Deaman is a fantastic band with many, many songs to sing along with for the entire show. Not that all their songs are to be taken seriously, but they are great songwriters. Highly recommended for anyone who likes their music played by the artists themselves, but also for anyone who likes to rock out with the band.

  • by iroqgurl on 2012-02-10Bronson Centre - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

Theory was awesome but need to rethink opening acts. Upclose and personal atmosphere at Bronson Centre was excellent - close to stage and band!

  • Not bad

    by Gerbear70 on 2012-02-10Bronson Centre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

Theory played about 90 min. and all their hits. However the singer's voice wasn't quite as good. maybe he had a cold, but he was off key a few times and was losing vocal power. Opening act Iconoclast rocked the house. I actually was more impressed with them then Theory which sat down to do an acoustic set that was very country style.
