About

Theory of a Deadman is the first Canadian rock band to sign with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger’s 604 Records. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 2002, Theory of a Deadman has blazed their own path with multiple-platinum albums in Canada, and 2008’s Scars & Souvenirs became one of their bestselling albums worldwide when it reached No. 26 on the Billboard 200 chart. Known for their rock anthems and introspective ballads, Theory of a Deadman have found success in Canada and abroad with chart-topping singles like “Bad Girlfriend,” “Rx (Medicate),” “Lowlife” and “History of Violence” — all of them topping Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. The Canadian rockers have toured worldwide with bands like Nickelback, Mötley Crüe, Bush, Shinedown and Skillet.

  • TOAD was awesome as always

by HopeM on 2012-02-06Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was great, as always they put on a great show. The only issue was the two hour wait before the opening act came out and then 1 hour wait after them for TOAD to come on. People were getting edgy on the floor.

  • Theory of a Deadman were great!!

In addition to the great music (special thank you for Hurricane encore), lots of humour. Really entertaining. Thanks for a great night of entertainment!

They always put on a good show, and they didn't disappoint! Although, Sound Academy isn't my favourite venue.

  • Theory gave us an Amazing performance!!!

  • Bleeker Ridge was Amazing!

by BleekerFan on 2012-02-06Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

We were very impressed and entertained by the opening act, Bleeker Ridge. Incredible energy, charisma and the music was awesome! Was the highlight of the night for us. Took far too long for TDM to come out on stage, we were so bored we'd almost left. It seemed there were a lot of underage, and I mean KIDS, at the venue. Had I known it was going to be an all-ages event, we wouldn't have bought tickets....

  • Theory was kick ass amazing...as always

by FallenOrchid on 2012-02-06Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Theory of a Deadman puts on a really simple show, but its incredible! They don't have a lot of pyro or glitz and glammer, but that's one of the reasons why I love them. I love seeing them in a bar type setting where they can be free to be the fun loving guys that they are. The sound quality was awesome, and the whole crowd really got into the show. Tyler had us all in complete hysterics when he talked. Was nice to see him with a smile on his face again. If you've never had the chance to see them live, and you like the band, seriously go and check them out...Might just be the best bare bones concert you've ever seen. :)

Theory was great and getting better all the time. Sound Acadamy is a great venue. Only negative was that there was too much time between acts

  • Tired Band

by DeadGirl on 2012-02-05Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 2 out of 5

I'm not sure what happened. My husband and I have seen TOADM before in 2010 in Guelph and they were fantastic. We love "Scars and Souvenirs". It was like a band of impostors was doing covers for TOADM last night. The sound was horrible. We were in the last row of Hamilton place and it was so loud and distorted it hurt the ears. The light show was bad too, blinding and pointless. We were there to see and hear the band, and the whole thing was an assault on the senses. To top it off, Tyler's voice was tired and cracking as a result of concert dates that were too close. We walked out an hour into the show, and I wish I could ask for my money back. TOADM have to get it together, cause they've lost it. ( Maybe the sound guy is deaf, or no one did a sound check?)

Good show!! Such a clear stage and great lighting effects!! I was especially pleasantly surprised with how much audience interaction there was- right from the start the handsome lead singer Tyler had everyone singing and shouting and wanting more-that's what you want from a concert- Good One Guys!! =)

  • The Theory was awesome

    by Freak1000 on 2012-02-05Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Theory of a deadman, put on an excellent show, and I was very happy. Tyler, the lead singer puts on an excellent show, along with his band members, and what impressed me the most was how Tyler interacted with the audience, it was very cool how much involved he was with them. At Hamilton Place, the sound was great, seating was comfortable, and the view was excellent,,, I would recommend Theory of a deadman to everyone, they sounded great, it was an enjoyable night. Theory.... keep rockin, and keep up the good work, thanks for a great show.

  • Theory of a Deadman

by littlewing on 2012-02-05Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 3 out of 5

Decent show but very short compared to what I'm used to. The lighting was really good but the sound was so distorted more than half the show. It's a theatre venue so I'm not sure if it was just too loud for the room or if there were actual issues? We all agreed that it was annoying. Very interactive with the audience, our seats were great, love the venue.

  • Theory of a deadman was INCREDIBLE!

  • Just Love Theory of A Deadman

by Chainfall on 2012-02-05Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 3 out of 5

The sound was not the greatest, there was alot of sound feedback at times it even made me cringe, not sure if there was too much sound equipment or the volume but it wasn't very clear alot of the show. Otherwise they were awesome and played all the favourites.

  • T.O.A.D. you need better sound

by GJWamc on 2012-02-05Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 1 out of 5

Wife & I were very disappointed with concert. Hamilton place is a great place to see a concert but not when the band sounds like a Grade 8 garage band. From start to finish it was too loud and not clear at all. You couldn't really hear Tyler's voice over the blasting guitars and bass, even the acoustic session was bad. Overall not impressed at all, thy're a good band but not with a sound like that.

  • Theory of a Deadman was incredible!

by nickelsnatch on 2012-02-05Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show! Theory of a Deadman blew the roof off of Hamilton Place Theatre. From start to finish they had the crowd jumping. I was able to purchase a package which allowed me and wife to sit in on the bands sound check and able to have a meet and greet with the band after. I was truly impressed by this fan package and it was well worth it. The guys in the band were down to earth and really nice! I have seen Theory many times in the past and this is by far one of my favourites. Hamilton Place was a great venue with incredible sound.
