About

Theory of a Deadman is the first Canadian rock band to sign with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger’s 604 Records. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 2002, Theory of a Deadman has blazed their own path with multiple-platinum albums in Canada, and 2008’s Scars & Souvenirs became one of their bestselling albums worldwide when it reached No. 26 on the Billboard 200 chart. Known for their rock anthems and introspective ballads, Theory of a Deadman have found success in Canada and abroad with chart-topping singles like “Bad Girlfriend,” “Rx (Medicate),” “Lowlife” and “History of Violence” — all of them topping Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. The Canadian rockers have toured worldwide with bands like Nickelback, Mötley Crüe, Bush, Shinedown and Skillet.

  • most disappointing concert of the year

by Anonymous on 2012-02-05Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 1 out of 5

Love Theorys CDs and songs, was so bummed at what I heard. Sound was horrible throughout. Started off with muddy sounding vocals, then suspected tapes were being played in the background, never heard rhythm and bass guitars clearly ...were they even playing?!! Then during The Bitch Came Back, sounded like amps went off for most of song. Lead vocal OK half of the time, other times grossly off-key!! What gives?!!

  • Enjoyable concert with the boys!

we enjoyed seeing Theory of a Deadman alot. tickets were a reasonable price, so that helped with being able to see them. They involved the audience alot which was nice.

Such a great concert! They had an awesome set list and were a lot of fun. It was great being able to see them at The Burt after seeing them at the MTS Centre for Powerball a few years ago.

  • Theory was excellent

    by Ron50 on 2012-02-02Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

However, sound quality was bad. I like loud, but not to the point of real distortion. If I was to go to this show again, under the same circumstances, I would have ear plugs. Better P.A. ..

  • great show

    by candyk78 on 2012-02-02Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I really enjoyed the show, they had a good stage setup and the music was fantastic. Onlyproblem was it was hard to hear when they talked, Burton Cummings theater needs some sound improvements.

  • Theory of a Deadman was hard to hear!!

    by Jillybean70 on 2012-02-02Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 2 out of 5

I was sitting on the first balcony and we found the concert extremely hard to hear. IF you didn't know a song, you couldn't figure out what he was saying, and when he talked it sounded very muffled nothing was comprehensible. I don't know if the base or drums were off but we couldn't hear a word he said.

  • Theory of a Deadman put on a great show (but)...

by Choog on 2012-01-31Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

There was something really off with the sound as you couldn't make out the lead singer's voice for the most part - he was drowned out by everything else. I wasn't sure what kind of show to expect from them being at the Jubilee but it was a total rock show and they entertained! Wished I could have been able to hear Tyler's awesome voice better. I was very thankful for their acoustic portion where you got a chance to really hear him.

  • great show

    by JR123 on 2012-01-31Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

great show. good sound, guys can rock it. only complaint...play time way too short. 1 hour and 20min, thats bit lame for young guys especially. 1.45 to 2 hrs min is what u'd expect. throw a solo in or something...stretch it out a bit.

  • Theory was awesome!

by 4ofharts on 2012-01-31Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! Took our 14 and 15 yr old kids, they loved it. Definitely will see them again. They played incredibly!

  • Theory of a Deadman

by MonicaT1972 on 2012-01-30Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

Great show but the sound was terrible in the Jubilee for a rock concert. You could not hear the lyrics at all with the exception of the acoustic segment. Not a recommended venue for a rockin' show!

  • by ToxicAndTwisted on 2012-01-30Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

The concert was great But the Jubilee isnt the best place to have a rock concert in, The lights on stage were VERY bright for us in the crowd

  • Theory of the deadman is okay

They are good, and entertain the crowd well. Hope to see them again, but not in the Jube.

  • Theory rocked

by Binster on 2012-01-29Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Was a first timer to see T.O.A.D.M at the Jubilee in Edmonton. Enjoyed the show very much and was very surprised with the age group that attended. A lot more older generation than anticipated. ( i thought i would be one of the few old timers there at 47, not a chance ). The band made tons of money off Merchandise as the line up was out of control right up to show time. I went back about 6 songs into the set to buy my shirt and there was still 2 lines of people buying. After the show it still was a gong show to buy Merch. Overall a good show though it took about the first 4-5 songs for the sound guy to get the right mix. Bad sound at the beginning, Waaaaay to loud as no vocals were heard. Tyler seemed to be running out of gas as he approached the the end of the night. not being able to hit some of the higher notes. In the last song of the night ( Bad Girlfriend ) he struggled and had to let the audience sing the words to ones he couldn't hit. I sympathize for the guy as i know what this is like being a lead singer in a band as well, and feeling this way after giving it your all in a full night of rocking out. Overall a cool show with straight ahead rock 'n' roll.

  • Theory of a Deadman Top Rock!

by OldRockerChick on 2012-01-29Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

The guys put on a wonderful show mixing old favourites with new stuff. It was wonderful to see them again after a 10-year hiatus for me!

  • Theory of a Deadman was great

by bronzegal on 2012-01-29Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

These guys are awesomely talented for a couple guys from Delta. Enjoyed the show, was an awesome venue to see bands, if you are into that kind of thing. I thought the vocals were not all that clear for a couple songs, a little overshadowed by the guitars, overall THEY ROCKED.

  • Good Ol' Theory <3

    by Roseblood04 on 2012-01-29Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

They were pretty damn spectacular. Tyler talked to the crowd. The fact they were from here and my friend went to ND couple yrs after them, made it really cool. Good music. Disliked it was all ages, they had to sensor a bit. Still good times though.

  • by Fdog on 2012-01-29Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Show was pretty good. Jordan Cook only opened for about 20 minutes. Theory was good. Don`t wait around in the liquor line up downstairs like a chump, go to one of the upstairs ones.

  • Theory Of A Deadman Could Have Been Better

by HappyDaddy on 2012-01-29Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

Tyler was having trouble singing which kind of limited the whole experience. I have to give him credit for trying to keep it going but I would have preferred to come back and see him when he was in prime form.

  • Instruments drowned out vocals too much.

by JennM17 on 2012-01-29Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 2 out of 5

The vocals were drowned out by the instruments. Was expecting an encore, but there wasn't one. Barely knew the concert ended then the lights were on.

  • Theory Of A Dead Man was great!

by JEBBEE on 2012-01-29Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Having this group play in a smaller venue was actually great! To be able to have a great seat any where you sat, and be able to see and hear far better than at a larger venue was excellent! These folks put on a decent show and would definately see them again!
