    Thomas Dolby's recent appearance at the Mod Club was a succesful mix of the old and the new and despite the 'electronic' basis was a personal and convivial event with an interesting and quirky narrative accompanying the songs. The new album, Floating City's, is a fresh direction yet it contains many of the elements that made Dolby such a hit almost 30 years ago- not bad for an artist these days!
