Can't wait for the HMS Pinafore !! Mikado was very good , orchestra was great 👍 I understand the Canada references but a Titipu would be great too

I was seated at the back of the theatre but had little trouble hearing the performers lines. Everyone had their parts down, sang the songs well and their choreography was enjoyable. The story of the Gondoliers is a bit scattered, but the performers brought good energy. My only complaint is that they cut the best song ("There lived a king"), I guess for time. The props and set were minimalist.

Wonderful music beautifully sung! All actors playing with gusto in the spirit of an era celebrating romance . Loved it! As did my 22 year old grandson. Bravo!

I really enjoyed the Toronto Operetta’s sold out version of Countess Maritza which I saw on December 29th as part of our celebrations to bring in the New Year. The singing and songs were wonderful, the sets were simple but elegant, and the production was professional. The acting was also well done with the characters offering humour and their attitude was based on their role in life. There are 2 more performances of this Operetta on Jan. 3rd and 4th, and I recommend that you attend one if you can. Acceptable seats are as low as $56.50 each including the order processing fee. Enjoy!

The singing was excellent! The acting was a bit stilled but, after all, you come to hear the singing. We like the theatre. We were in the second level and could see perfectly.

We had a Birthday celebration planned for the night of the show. What a great way to start it with Operetta! The venue is always great and welcoming, on a smaller side, just perfect to make you feel like home.

This was my first time at the Operetta but we enjoyed the experience and ambiance. We will definitely go again for other performances. Thank you

The Student Prince was one of two of my father's favourite musicals. While I have watched the movie often, the last time I saw it as a live performance was just after he died in 1976. Even though we knew how it ended, he and I were always miffed that the prince didn't marry the barmaid, much to my mother's amusement! This performance did justice to Romberg's beautiful songs. The orchestra was wonderful. The sets and costumes were true to the story. The voices of the performers were all lovely. My only criticism is that Brooke Mitchell did not need to be miked as loudly as she was. She is a strong, true soprano with lovely tone that was occasionally distorted by the microphone. Otherwise, I was reminded why I need to support Toronto Operetta Theatre more often. Thank you for the opportunity to see this much loved operetta again.

I enjoyed this performance and was specially pleased with Tonatiuh Abrego. Overall it was a pleasant evening with a story from days of old and simpler times.
