I loved seeing all the Provincial Champs as well as Team Canada...live was a great experience!
Ticketmaster.ca is a great way to attend events in Calgary Saving tickets on Wallet app is so handy So great to actually see people & curling teams in person that you have only seen on tvš
The arena was comfortable except the bottom couple rows of seating which were very hard straight back seats likely because they are temporary. The visibility of the hack from these seats and probably the first 5 rows, was nil so save your money. Then higher up your vision of the ONLY tv/display on the ends was hampered by the camera boom. So people were constantly moving about. NEED mor monitors in building! Having said that the higher seats were comfortable and temperature in the building was good as well. Food choices were somewhat limited in the arena area but lots of choices in the foyer restaurant and the patch. Signage was weak and not a lot of amenities details were not on the website so we discovered most of it on the second day. Most importantly great ice and great curling. Many great memories watching a lot of lasts (Jones, Galusha, etc) and a many new young teams living their dream. There are no bad scottties just some venues better than others!
The venue is an excellent facility to view curling. The sound system was bad. Overflow parking needs to be upgraded with lighting added. Confectionery services need to be increased with a pop up Timās . Enjoyed the ladies talent.
Was a great overall experience, every seat in that venue was a great seat
We had a wonderful time, the curling was very good, it was fun to see all the āfamous peopleā Lol!! There was a lot of choice for drinks and food, also you could go to the noisy patch or a quiet place upstairs, I found there was something for everyone.
Everything about the even was amazing. Only down side was not being able to print my tickets. The service in the building was terrible and I had to leave to load them on my phone so we could get in.
Great venue to hold the event, well organized and great competition
Had great seats, really enjoyed the championship. Parking wasnāt the greatest but a very nice venue.
We always watch it on TV & decided to attend one draw! TV is great but being there was amazing. Loved our seats Lots of action and it was just great to be there
It was a lot of fun to attend the Scotties; our first live curling event. The seats were great! Only negative thing was no cell coverage where we were sitting; we had to go near the entrance of the arena to get coverage.
It was an awesome experience, very busy venue. The food could be a little cheaper. For consideration, maybe have an package for food options included. Thank you
Enjoyed the event. Good viewing from most locations at WinSport. Well organized.
Great curling and wonderful venue. No bad seat in Winsport
Food quality was mediocre at best; e.g. hot dogs were luke warm at best. But we were able to find a seat in the Patch so that was a good thing. The interviews with curlers was interesting but only people near the stage were accommodated with a mic.
Venue great Curlers awesome Food not so great Drinks are pricy
I was transporting a person with difficulty walking and found we were unable to get close to the entrance to drop her off. As only one concession was open at a time I stood in line for some 37 minutes to get 2 cups of coffee and therefore missed a good portion of the morning draw. At lunch in the Patch, they had no buns to serve the pulled pork and had to use hot dog buns. For a venue who had at least a year to prepare, the food service had some glaring errors. The venue was very noisey but that added to the dazzle of the event. The curling was awesome and I am glad I went.
First time watching top level curling live. I was kind of expecting a top level camera angle above the rocks projecting on to the rings for each rink so fans could see exactly where the rocks are on the far side of the ice. Seems like a relatively simple thing to do and would greatly enhance the experience. Curling was great!
The seating area and venue were perfect for this event especially having the Patch in the same building. I donāt know why thatās not a prerequisite for choosing a venue. I have been to past curling events where the Patch was blocks away so we didnāt go. There were many problems with organization especially in the beginning but it appeared that the committee did their best in terms of improving food service, long line ups for concession items etc. one of the most annoying problems was the terrible cell service., even outside the building. The big screen in the corner was a disaster because the netting hung over it so you could barely see it. We had to turn around to look at the one behind us but it too was blocked by tv equipment and curtains. Iāve been to 7 Scotties and have never had to pay for parking and there were times that there were no spots so we had to park on the road and walk a long ways. The best part of it all was the awesome weather!
Great seats and great curling. First time at this venue and it was great.
