Maroon 5 rocked the house - awesome performance! Train on the other hand did not. Not sure why they sung a Blondie song then a U2 song then a Riahanna song??? I left after that. I gave it a 4 star only based on Maroon 5's performance.

This was by far the best concert I have ever seen. Both bands were flawless, and even more talented musicians than I had expected. I can't believe how much energy Adam Levine brought to the stage! The energy was infectious. On top of having awesome songs to sing along to, Train really brought the entertainment with all of the interactive touches like bringing girls up to dance on stage, bringing some humour to the show, walking through the crowd signing, and throwing out lots of giveaways to the audience. A night to remember!

Maroon 5 and Nikki Jean gave all they had. Wish I could say the same for Train. They performed a fraction of what Maroon 5 did, and paused after ever song. I paid to see them not to see the blacked out stage. I paid to hear their work, not Rihanna's Umbrella. I ADORED Maroon 5's part of the show. They played to the fans the way real stars should.

The concert was amazing. The only disappointment we had was we thought Maroon 5 was the headlining band and then discovered that Train was :(

Train was outstanding, and while this venue certainly made the experience better, the talent and showmanship of these artists carried the show.

Excellent show! This guy can work the audience. It was just raw and fun and the lead singer is such an excellent vocalist! I have been a fan since their first demo and took 4 others who weren't Train fans and 2 hadn't even heard of them and they enjoyed the experience more than expected and are now fans!

I saw them perform in Toronto a few years ago. LOVED them. Great stage presence. Fabulous music.

Great songs, great setting on a great night. And what an amazing voice! Train looked comfortable, happy and in control as they wow-ed an all-time large crowd to see them at the Orange County Fair! When they come to your neighbourhood-GO! you won't be disappointed.

A great concert overall! Train put on a great show! The opening band, Butch Walker and the Black Widows, were amazing!

Train at the Phoenix Concert Theatre March 24 2010 Train and opening act Butch Walker and the Black Widows gave arena-worthy performances Wednesday night at Toronto’s Phoenix, warming the venue and concertgoers’ hearts with their trademark showmanship. Butch Walker and the Black Widows took the stage at 8:15. In true Walker fashion, the short set length of 45 minutes was no hindrance to the passionate, sweaty spectacle about to unfold. He and the Widows began with “Closer to the Truth and Further From the Sky,” a cut from Walker’s 2008 solo album Sycamore Meadows. Much of the audience was not previously familiar with Butch, but there was a palpable shift in the crowd’s attitude mere moments after the set had begun. Inquisitive facial expressions were replaced by beaming smiles, accompanied by lots of hand clapping, foot stomping, and cheers. The singer-songwriter flirted with his receptive audience, saying, “I’m going to Toronto where everybody here is nice to me. I like you very much!” He reciprocated by sweating off layers of clothing and destroying a few guitar strings for us. Train have released five albums — three of which have been certified platinum — and delivered a fast-paced, varied set which featured their trademark upbeat hits and heartfelt numbers. The band made an impressive audience-artist connection throughout. Starting out with “Parachute,” a single from the California band’s most recent album Save Me, San Francisco, Train went into older favourites like “Get To Me,” and “Meet Virgina,” teasing the crowd with the first few notes of mega-hit “Drops of Jupiter” before finally playing it later on that night. To the delight of the group’s many, many female fans, vocalist Patrick Monahan, lead guitarist Jimmy Stafford, and drummer Scott Underwood made Wednesday an unofficial ladies’ night at the Phoenix, calling a handful of women (myself included!) onstage to sing “She’s On Fire.” An unexpected highlight was Train’s cover of “Ramble On.” Strikingly true to the original, the band segued into a verse of Lou Reed’s “Walk on the Wild Side” before coming full circle to finish the Zeppelin classic. “Hey, Soul Sister,” the first single from Save Me, San Francisco, capped the set and elicited the most excitement from the audience. The crowd wanted more, calling Train back for a 2-song encore. They played “Drops of Jupiter” at long last, and ended with another cover, this time Van Halen’s “Dance the Night Away.” Butch Walker jumped onstage to sing with Monahan, an energetic end to an emotionally exhausting performance. The night proved that both acts are not only humble -- both made multiple complimentary references to Toronto and Canada -- but performers of the highest calibre.

The Train concert at the Phoenix in Toronto was one of the best concerts I have ever seen. They actually sounded better in person than on the Cd. Pat the lead singer was funny and had an amazing voice. I can't wait until they come back to Toronto.

Having only ever been to concerts in arenas and stadiums before I wasn't sure what to expect from this venue. It was literally like having Train play in your front room. Great sound and atmosphere and Train really pulled it out of the bag, even though Pat sounded a bit croaky at times (Get well soon Pat). Would have liked them to play a longer set (was only just over an hour) but definitely enjoyed it and can't wait to see them next time they come back to T.O.

A very entertaining show. I enjoyed both Train and Butch Walker. I hope to see both Train and Butch Walker again in concert. I can't believe the concert ticket only cost me $42.50!! Too bad the CDs didn't make it past Canada Customs.

Once again, Pat and the boys delivered an UNFORGETTABLE evening! He is the ultimate entertainer - talent, charisma - cute!! And despite the fact that he appeared to be a little bit under the weather, still belted out all our favorites! The Phoenix is an amazing venue. It's like a private party. I absolutley loved it and look forward to the next time they're in town!

Train really knows how to put on a show - Pat engages the audience with his amazing vocals and they play a mix of fan favourites and new material. A small place like Webster Hall is the perfect, intimate venue for them!
