Incredible show by both main and opening acts

by GrooveBoss on 2017-10-27The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

I had never seen either band live before so I only knew about their shows from online videos. Shorty and band were absolutely phenomenal. Such great entertainers and musical talent. I will surely be at their next show in town.

    Trombone Shorty can play!

by MightyNK on 2017-10-27The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews can play the horn(s)! It was my first concert experience with him and his band. Unfortunately, the volume was turned up too high making it difficult to hear the intricacies of what was going on. That's too bad because I'm pretty sure that there were some intricacies that I wanted to hear. Nonetheless, overall it was a high-energy, well laid-out show. I would see him again. A bigger surprise was Vintage Trouble, who started the evening off. I will be looking up some of their catalogue shortly. There was even a fun crowd-surfing segment! Definitely a worthwhile evening!

Trombone Shorty shook the house down!

by 5dogdad on 2017-10-27The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

The concert was high energy from the opening act to the final song in the encore! The band was excellent with most members being featured for a solo. There were times when just the 3 horn players were jamming; trombone, sax and bass sax, it was excellent! A trombone player from Toronto was invited on stage to jam with the band, he did an awesome job! They even played some cover songs, I feel good! and when the Saint's go marching in, in a New Orleans tribute.

    Amazing night

by NYC331 on 2017-10-27The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

I love the whole band. They are so amazing and talented. Everyone danced on the floor. It was my first time to see a concert in Danforth music Hall. The venue is. It big but quinted. I am glad I got a floor ticket and got really close to the stage. Fun night. Would love to see them again.

    Stunning

by Peejhey on 2017-10-27The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

He can change his name to Trombone/Trumpet/Drum Shorty because he's solid at every one of those instruments. His band are next level musicians and any band that steps instantly has me

Trombone Shorty is a force of nature!!

by perky88 on 2017-10-26The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

This was an INCREDIBLE show! I picked my jaw up off the floor at the end. The energy, the talent, the range of music played (blues, jazz, soul, funk, hip-hop, etc etc etc). Not to be missed!!

    More music, way less show.

by Chasel on 2017-10-26The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

The drums were SO Loud, they obliterated everything else on stage, couldn’t hear the guitars or bass at all, and everyone else had to be so loud for any chance of cutting through, what’s the point of that. The only upside was that the drummer was really good. I blame the sound people but, it ultimately comes down to the MD and how important the sound is to the presentation. There are two kinds of musicians. The first, is when you’re a slave to the sound/music, and only add to the song what is necessary to make the song the best it can be and what is appropriate for the song. The second, is when you use the song as a wank opportunity to show how great you THINK you are. Every song was the same, endless soloing that you could hardly hear cause the drums were deafening. I guess that’s the way they want it. If you want a stage show and don’t care about music, this is the show for you.

    High energy the whole time!

by Jakey on 2017-10-26The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Trombone Shorty and his band were amazing! Wicked solos, fun little gimmicks and dancing and such high energy the whole time. They slowed down once or twice to play some blues and solo, but those were rare moments. His music is a really cool blend of jazz with new funk

    Beautiful taste of New Orleans

by Dono13 on 2016-06-30Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Shorty brought with him a suite of fabulous musicians that made the evening performance outstanding. We are fortunate that he was able to deliver a concert that represented the fine Nawlins musical tradition. I can almost taste the mudbugs now.

Super exciting concert. High quality non stop entertainment. Truly would take this act in anytime for any reason. Drove in from regina and brought two friends. Was not disappointed to use my resources on this show.
