Winnipeg Jets History
The Winnipeg Jets were founded in 1997 as the Thrashers, and began play in the 1999–2000 NHL season, spending 11 seasons in Atlanta and making the playoffs once in 2006-2007. In 2011, the franchise was sold to True North Sports and Entertainment, which relocated the team to Winnipeg and adopted the name of the city's original franchise in the World Hockey Association, the Jets.
Major league hockey dates back to 1972 in Winnipeg, which was home to one of the founding franchises of the WHA and one of four (along with Quebec, Hartford and Edmonton) to join the NHL when the leagues merged in 1979. The original Jets moved to Phoenix in 1996 and became the Phoenix Coyotes (now the Arizona Coyotes). In the 12 seasons that the Jets have been in Winnipeg, they’ve made six playoff appearances, including a run to the Western Conference Finals in 2018.
In 2016, the team established the Winnipeg Jets Hall of Fame, with the "Hot Line" trio of Anders Hedberg, Bobby Hull and Ulf Nilsson as the inaugural inductees. Recent inductees include Teemu Selänne and Teppo Numminen.

First time experiencing a hockey playoff game and the Winnipeg Jets white-out, and it was awesome!!! Tickets were at bit expensive but worth it!!!
Being there to experience the White Out was so much fun! Entry and concessions are run like a well-oiled machine. Staff are professional and welcoming. The food is great, although I miss the butter on the Jet Dog. Bun was plain this time. Atmosphere was electric. The only downside was the ridiculously long line for the ladies bathroom, and small seats in the stands.
I had the most amazing time that night, (other than the loss of course) the Jets really know how to put on a top show.
Round 1 Game 1. Canada Life Centre. Jets vs Avs. It was brilliant. Loud like thunder, bright, fast, exciting. Still have a raspy voice from woo-hooing. And the Jets won! 🙌🏼✈️✈️✈️🤍
Re roved a pre-sale code that tickets were on sale but it appeared for less than five seconds and then it was nowhere to be found. Would like to see a seat view map added when buying tickets. Appreciated instruction to not put Whiteout party tickets in wallet
Everything went according to plan! Event was well organized and was easy to get to. We had a great time and there was no issues!
My first Canuck's game😅💙 Had a great time! The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Just to bad Vancouver lost the game. Was a good experience though. This was my fifth or sixth game for this season.
great atmosphere with all the people in attendence
