About

Danish metal fusion act Volbeat has grown from a well-known regional band in Scandinavia to an international touring outfit sharing the bill with music giants Megadeth and Metallica. The four-piece group mixes metal, hard rock and a touch of punk with rock and roll inspiration from icons like Elvis, creating a well-liked combination that easily sells tickets. And when the Northern European performers aren’t in the recording studio, they’re tackling headlining concerts and taking part in the international festival circuit.  Volbeat’s nearly decade-long discography boasts five studio albums, all of which have achieved at least gold status in their native Denmark. The band’s 2013 effort, “Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies,” marked the first collection to chart in the U.S. That set, which former Anthrax guitarist and new Volbeat member Robert Caggiano co-produced, made it to the top of Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums chart.

Volbeat was awesome! I would go see them again when they roll back into town again. And of course they saved my favorite song for last.

Great band. Such a great voice. They get better all the time. Would like to see more interaction with the crowd. But over all this was an amazing concert. One of my favorite bands.

Crobot was exactly how I expected...poor. I'm not a big fan of Anthrax, but they did put on a good show too. I've seen Volbeat once before and they did not disappoint. Excellent as always!

    Amazing show!

I could not believe how good Volbeat sounded live. I hate going to shows and the artist sounds nothing like they did on their album. I was also impressed when the lead singer crowd surfed over to some fans to hand deliver some T Shirts and then the band brought a bunch of kids up on stage from the audience for a song. Not only do they melt your face off with how hard they rock...they are also a class act and seem extremely genuine and grateful. I am an even bigger fan after having seen them live! Crobot and Anthrax were also good. Loudest drums I have ever heard at a concert when Anthrax was on stage.

Before the day of the concert, I was actually trying to sell my tickets. Luckily for me it didn't happen, so we ended up going to the show. I'm so glad that they didn't sell and we went because they were amazing. They had great sound, neither the music or the vocals overpowered the other. Michael engaged the crowd without yelling and swearing. He even crowd surfed over to two young kids to give them t-shirts. These guys are a class act.

    Volbeat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Cobs on 2015-05-06Rexall Place - Edmonton

First off, the opening acts. Crobot was good and they have potential to be a fantastic band. They kind of have a 70's flare to them. They reminded me of Monster Truck a bit. Anthrax was heavy, fast and awesome. I was a little worried they wouldn't be as good as they were because the band started back in the 80's, but they were really good. I didn't really like Anthrax before the concert, but now I quite enjoy their music. And finally, Volbeat. They played fantastic. They were energetic, had chemistry with the audience (funny bunch of dudes), and sounded great. The seriously sound just like their records, maybe even better at times. Volbeat kept me head banging the entire time they played. The had a solid set-list too.

Seeing Volbeat play for the 3rd time was awesome. High energy show. Took a good buddy to see them for the first time, he was blown away. Also seeing Anthrax open up for Volbeat was unbelievable, seeing the 80's thrash legends.
