Danish metal fusion act Volbeat has grown from a well-known regional band in Scandinavia to an international touring outfit sharing the bill with music giants Megadeth and Metallica. The four-piece group mixes metal, hard rock and a touch of punk with rock and roll inspiration from icons like Elvis, creating a well-liked combination that easily sells tickets. And when the Northern European performers aren’t in the recording studio, they’re tackling headlining concerts and taking part in the international festival circuit. Volbeat’s nearly decade-long discography boasts five studio albums, all of which have achieved at least gold status in their native Denmark. The band’s 2013 effort, “Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies,” marked the first collection to chart in the U.S. That set, which former Anthrax guitarist and new Volbeat member Robert Caggiano co-produced, made it to the top of Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums chart.
Volbeat lived up to all expectations (not surprising)!! They don't put on a "show" of sorts but their sound is near album perfect! I would go see them again and again!! PS: Thank you for not charging your fans unreal amounts of money to enjoy your talent! We will definitely see you again VOLBEAT!!! Thank you for a GREAT experience!

Volbeat show on Saturday was absolutely awesome. Fantastic music, could have watched them play all night.
This will be the second time I see this band in Edmonton, the first time was at Shaw. I liked the Shaw concert better as it was more intimate, and we were able to see the members up close and personal. Without the aid of a large screen, Michael Poulson looked about 1/2 and inch tall. The music was good and loud, and the acoustics clear, but there is not the same interaction with a large crowd. This is one of those times that I wish Rexall had large screens so you could see the band close up!
This is a band that truly loves to entertain their fans! I have seen them 6 times now, and plan to see every show available in my area. Just seen them in Edmonton may2nd, and they never disappoint! Thank you Volbeat, you guys are one of the best!! THANK YOU!
