Since premiering at Broadway’s Gershwin Theatre in 2003, WICKED has been mesmerizing audiences and breaking records, becoming the second highest-grossing musical in Broadway history with over $1.4 billion in tickets sold. Composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz and book writer Winnie Holzman’s magical “untold true story of the Witches of Oz” has been nominated for 10 Tony Awards — winning three — including Idina Menzel for Best Actress in a Musical as heroine Elphaba. With a captivating score that includes the hits “Defying Gravity” and “For Good,” the WICKED cast album won Best Musical Show Album at the 47th Grammy Awards, with Time magazine cheering, “If every musical had a brain, a heart, and the courage of WICKED, Broadway really would be a magical place.” In addition to Menzel, the star-studded original cast included Kristin Chenoweth as Glinda, Norbert Leo Butz as Fiyero, Joel Grey as the Wizard, Carole Shelley as Madame Morrible, Christopher Fitzgerald as Boq, Michelle Federer as Nessarose, and William Youmans as Doctor Dillamond. WICKED is also the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history.

This was an upbeat, lively, enjoyable musical with an important moral about respecting differences! We were so impressed with the talent of the actors. Loved every minute of it.
Truly disappointed. I had been waiting to see show for the better part of 15 years and when we were in NY it was a huge priority for the family and particularly myself. Great Actors, but thin storyline. It is so frustrating that it didn't live up to the hype. Saddest part of what was otherwise a great holiday.
Such a spectacular show! It was funny, charming and creative. The cast was of superior talent (and one was an understudy - Aug. 26/18). I highly recommend Wicked. If you haven't, GO!
The show was very entertaining with a great story. The leads were excellent - their voices and expressions and actions. Overall the show was fantastic. So glad we saw it
Great show for entire family! Funny, exciting and wonderful musical score
Love, love, love this show - the music and especially the twist at the end.
Don't miss this great musical. It had been on my bucket list forever and now my dreams came true.
I highly recommend seeing this broadway show. The choreography, the orchestra, the actors, the vocals and the amazing overall display is “Wicked” (amazing).
Play that you must see..Great show great characters. My girls and I loves it
This was the first of three shows that we watched in NY for our 4 day stay. It was also the best. So powerful, it brought me to tears.

Having loved the story of the Wizard of Oz, and hearing all the good reviews about Wicked, we decided to take in 2 Broadway shows on our recent trip to NYC. We were not disappointed with Wicked! It gives so much insight into the time before Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz! Everything makes so much more sense now! The singing, acting, dancing, and atmosphere were incredible! I would recommend this to families and couples of all ages. Well worth the money. The venue was fabulous! The Gershwin Theatre is heavenly!
Incredible show, far exceeded my expectations! Wonderful story and talent!!!
