About

WICKED, the Broadway sensation, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz…but from a different angle.  Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another girl, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships…until the world decides to call one “good,” and the other one “wicked.”

With a thrilling score that includes the hits “Defying Gravity,” “Popular” and “For Good,” WICKED has been hailed by The New York Times as “the defining musical of the decade.” Time Magazine cheers, “if every musical had the brain, the heart, and the courage of WICKED, Broadway really would be a magical place.”

From the first electrifying note to the final breathtaking moment, WICKED—the untold true story of the Witches of Oz—transfixes audiences with its wildly inventive story. It will send your spirits soaring to heights you’ll never forget.

  • An exemplatory event!!

by Alena on 2009-09-20Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

The Paramount Theatre in itself is an amazing piece of architecture and provides a fantastic ambience for the show. Having seen the New York performance I was pleased that the Seattle show was of the same caliber and with orchestra, dynamic set, costumes, etc. One very minor detail was that the cast was different, which is to be expected. The Seattle cast was very solid and brought their own flare,....I guess I enjoyed the New York cast a 'little' bit more, but not much. It was spectacular!!!

  • Go see WICKED and bring your family

by improvmom on 2009-09-20Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

The Broadway Across America tour of WICKED exceed my expectations in EVERY WAY. Production values, sound quality, costumes were top drawer. And the cast, the singing and the music make this a great show that had the Seattle audience shouting approval from the opening curtain. It was obvious that many in the house had seen the show more than once, and also that many did not know the story from the popular books... but none of that mattered. Would I go back tonight? Yes, and so should you. Loved it

The title says it all. It was an amazing musical with an amazing cast. It was funny and it was sad. The cast was phenomenal and the music was great. I would recommend it to any musical lover (and even non-musical lovers). Also great if you're a Wizard of Oz fan.

  • A different take on a classic story

by jonsoh on 2009-09-16Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Being a fan of the original film, I found this lighthearted but different take on the classic absolutely spellbinding. A definite watch, whether you're a fan of the Wizard of Oz or not.

  • "Wicked" was wickedly fantastic!!

    by Canfan417 on 2009-09-16Orpheum Theatre - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Before the curtain even rose, the sets on the edges of the stage were intriguing. Then the show began and before I knew it, I was totally entranced by the two main characters - Glinda and Elphaba. An unbelievable blend of voices, costumes, sets - especially the lights and the connection between the 'good' and 'bad' so called melded to totally ensnare the audience into this tale. All present felt the emotions portrayed by the actors. Bravo to the cast, set designers and composers and lyricists for a dynamic and different take on Oz.

This was the second time seeing Wicked. The first was in California A while back. I was afraid that the memory would outshine the actual performance. That didn't happen. This time round it was even better. When will it be comimg to Vancouver.

  • Wicked was wickedly good!

by DebbieDrew on 2009-09-14Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

We went to see Wicked for the second time on September 12, once more making the two hour trek from British Columbia to Seattle. We loved it just as much this time, moved to laughter and tears by the magic of Oz. Glinda (the "Ga" is silent, you know) was so funny - perkiness personified! And Elphaba was wonderful - Defying Gravity moved us to tears. Wicked rocks!

  • Wicked! was amazing

We traveled all the way down to Seattle from Vancouver to see Wicked! for the second time. It was well worth the trip, If it were to come to Vancouver I would probably see it again. The vocals were great, and chemistry between the cast was spot on.

  • Seattle Wicked Cast - They Lead The Way!!!

by Allycat on 2009-09-13Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Move over New York City! Seattle's cast of 'Wicked' is kicking your butt! After seeing 'Wicked' with my teenage daughter in both cities, New York and Seattle, Well........... New York I think has lost some of its sparkle. It's shining over the Paramount Theatre and was a definate MUST SEE!

  • Don't miss the best

by Skeezix on 2009-09-13Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

It will be a life long memory for my daughter on her 20th birthday to have been a part of this wonderful experience. This cast put out 100% from the very first moment and the two principles were all we could ask for. If you like musical theatre you will love Wicked.
