Winnipeg Jets History
The Winnipeg Jets were founded in 1997 as the Thrashers, and began play in the 1999–2000 NHL season, spending 11 seasons in Atlanta and making the playoffs once in 2006-2007. In 2011, the franchise was sold to True North Sports and Entertainment, which relocated the team to Winnipeg and adopted the name of the city's original franchise in the World Hockey Association, the Jets.
Major league hockey dates back to 1972 in Winnipeg, which was home to one of the founding franchises of the WHA and one of four (along with Quebec, Hartford and Edmonton) to join the NHL when the leagues merged in 1979. The original Jets moved to Phoenix in 1996 and became the Phoenix Coyotes (now the Arizona Coyotes). In the 12 seasons that the Jets have been in Winnipeg, they’ve made seven playoff appearances, including a run to the Western Conference Finals in 2018.
In 2016, the team established the Winnipeg Jets Hall of Fame, with the "Hot Line" trio of Anders Hedberg, Bobby Hull and Ulf Nilsson as the inaugural inductees. Recent inductees include Teemu Selänne and Teppo Numminen.

We had a great experience at CLC on January 2, 2025. We enjoyed decent food (including a yummy plant-based burger) and drink from concessions, a clear view of the ice from 300 level, friendly staff and fans (even though we were decked out in our Anaheim Ducks gear). This followed the great experience we had at the Bruce Springsteen show. We are looking forward to our next CLC event!
The game on Thursday was very enjoyable. Made a point of going to this game because it was Ukrainian Heritage night. Which seemed like a success.
Game was amazing our server in Ticketmaster Lounge was amazing. Entertainment was amazing game was great, but wish we had a win. Only downside was food. Popcorn was good, but fries weren't the best as they have changed. I also wasn't able to add gravy for my fries. Need a better menu for the Lounge.
Jets are the best when everything is clicking! Top line and power play are great!
We won!!! Go Jets go!!! Full house. Sold out!!! Big lines to washrooms
Really nice attention to detail - the game was great but the whole experience was fantastic - great energy, great variety in activities, lots of available options for Jets gear. Thanks!
Always nice to have a "full house". Unbelievable the # of people who were wearing Montreal jerseys! But that's ok, our team won. It was a fun game to watch, great to see Laine back in Wpg, fan fav that guy. Kudos to True North for recognizing & celebrating the 100th. Birthday of that gentleman who was attending his 1st Jets game. That was great to see. Loved the location of the 2 seats I had, super view, easy to get to and to leave to go to concourse. Good entertainment during the game, love the addition of having a band playing.
Lots of people blocking our view at beginning of game . Standing in seats that they didn't purchase. Just to see the Habs come out on the ice. Staff didn't do anything to shoo them out of there.
I don’t wanted talk about the game we got OT loss but amazing how south Asian community get together and enjoy this event
