Winnipeg Jets History
The Winnipeg Jets were founded in 1997 as the Thrashers, and began play in the 1999–2000 NHL season, spending 11 seasons in Atlanta and making the playoffs once in 2006-2007. In 2011, the franchise was sold to True North Sports and Entertainment, which relocated the team to Winnipeg and adopted the name of the city's original franchise in the World Hockey Association, the Jets.
Major league hockey dates back to 1972 in Winnipeg, which was home to one of the founding franchises of the WHA and one of four (along with Quebec, Hartford and Edmonton) to join the NHL when the leagues merged in 1979. The original Jets moved to Phoenix in 1996 and became the Phoenix Coyotes (now the Arizona Coyotes). In the 12 seasons that the Jets have been in Winnipeg, they’ve made six playoff appearances, including a run to the Western Conference Finals in 2018.
In 2016, the team established the Winnipeg Jets Hall of Fame, with the "Hot Line" trio of Anders Hedberg, Bobby Hull and Ulf Nilsson as the inaugural inductees. Recent inductees include Teemu Selänne and Teppo Numminen.

Winnipeg Jets at Canada Life Centre
Located in downtown Winnipeg, Canada Life Centre is the home of the Winnipeg Jets and also the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League. The arena is able to host just over 15,300 hockey fans, making it the smallest permanent arena in the NHL. Canada Life Centre is also home to the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame and Museum.
The Winnipeg Jets’ 2023–24 regular season kicks off in October at Scotiabank Saddledome, when the Jets face off against the Calgary Flames. The Jets play their final game of the regular season at home against Western Conference rivals the Vancouver Canucks. Here’s a list of key games to keep an eye on:

We had great seats, could see the action just great. The atmosphere was awesome!!!! Even though they lost…the fighting made the game! Just like the old days when Calgary played against the Jets!!!
It was so much fun, I had a blast. The seats were so close and the whole process was easy.
My son came from Calgary to join me for the game against Detroit. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with Covid so we were unable to attend.he Decided to stay home with me to keep me company instead of taking a friend to the game?

I love the experience when the Canada life Center is alive with the loud cheers, excitement. All the people are friendly even with opposing team jerseys, the food is GREAT, every JETS game is a must to have one. I’m a proud supporter of my home team JETS, win , lose or draw in my eyes they’re the best. The only flaw I see with this Center is , there pricing themselves out of the market, scaring people off like me, it’s minimum 350 bucks with cheap seats.
The arena staff made the experience for my son and I great from a customer service perspective. This was from the time we went through security to the serving staff. The atmosphere was good, lots of noise and fun.
The ticketmaster experience has been very good. The only complaint is the service charges and the cost of events being very expensive. The app works well and have had no bad experiences. Costs up high, but was isn’t.
It was a good game against Boston who showed why they are so successful. The Jets did what they could a played well but Boston’s D would not allow the Jets to penetrate the offensive zone.
Easy to get tickets. Easy to use app on phone to redeem tuckets. Lots of reminders from ticketmaster. We got a lucky puck and saw warm ups because of them. And Bruins won.
Good game but 4 beers and a pop $54 That’s insane money… $7 for box of popcorn ridiculous…
The atmosphere was great. I think tickets are over priced. Seats were good and comfortable. You could see the whole game with ease. The event staff were helpful and friendly. It was a great experience overall.
Really fun night. We enjoyed the facility and the game. The off ice entertainment was also excellent. We’ll be back!

Ordered tickets last minute throught the app. It was quick easy and verthing was right on my phone. Getting a single tickets was quick and easy.
Win or lose. It was fun event during my day off. I be there last year before new year. I’m coming back next month (march) three times. I learn out how much the food that fine. I understand how much every arena in Canada lose money. It been fun and I see you guys again in march
The spot light was directly in my eyes when sitting in that row. It was blinding and horrible. Seats were cramped. Don’t like bag policy. Bottle water should b cheaper, 6 bucks is dumb for water.
Great event for kids to get up close with Winnipeg Jets! Very entertaining and lots of fun for all ages. Look forward to the next one!

My wife and mother in law surprised me with tickets to a Jets home game, for Christmas. My birthday is on Jan 9th and we attended the game on the 8th. We live 12 hours away from Winnipeg, so it was a long drive, but the experience of attending a home game was astounding. Another check off the bucket list.✔️ Thank you Winnipeg Jets for the best birthday ever!!
