My son and I really enjoyed seeing Wolfmother again and the awesome music that they played. The Commodore is such a great venue to see good shows and have a good time.
Wolfmother was fantastic! Great sound great rock ‘n’ roll, packed house, and great service from the bar
This was one of the best shows I have ever seen, a quite bold statement coming from someone who attends 40-50 shows a year on average. These guys have absolutely insane energy and connect with the crowd while still being very friendly and down to earth. We also met them and talked to them before and after the show and this is what most artists should be like. An absolute pleasure, I am sure if you ask any of the 3-400 people present (the venue was packed to the brim) that were frenetically jumping as one on all the songs, they would all agree. Phenomenal experience!!!
They cover a good variety of there material. Seen them twice and it definitely was no repeat as far as the setlist went. really good opening band. They were there for a good amount of time. Not too short or long. Amazing venue. Sound was good. Service was great. And yes I would do it all over again
The evening began with a wicked opener Deap Vally...and then Wolfmother raised the roof off the Danforth Music Hall!
Wolfmother were stellar and sound even better live than their albums. They play with such passion and skill and the crowd ate it up!
Wolfmother rocked! Very good mix of songs. A lot of groovy riff rock really got the crowd jumping. Better than years past. Would highly recommend seeing this band if you haven't yet.
This was by far the best concert i've ever seen. Wolfmother rocked the water right out of the pool!!!!! Show kicked some serious ass!!!!!!!!! Well done boys!!!!
Man what a sweet show! crowd was rockin, they were rocking, it was just unreal. Sweet venue easy to see and nice and close. Volume was perfect too! Have to see these guys, i would go 100 times over they were sooooo good!!! Night ill never forget
The music was incredible and having such a small venue made this concert incredible. I really think that Wolfmother is a must-see group so the Kool Haus made it that much better. Only downside was that the ticket information gave us the address of a parking lot and not the actual concert location. After about a half hour of walking back and forth at the docks, we found it, but be sure to use GoogleMaps or Map Quest instead of the address that Ticketmaster gives you. Besides that, great show
What a great show, this was the 2nd time I have seen them in Vancouver and it was even better than the first time. The new band mates were awesome and together they played as tight as you could hope for. Sound was excellent and was nice to see them not get freaked out as audience started jumping on and off stage due to being rocked into a crazed wolfmudder frenzy. Simply awesome and will never miss a show anytime they are in my neck of the woods.
Yes, Wolfmother was unbelievably awesome! It was that good. It wasn't good, it was great. It was fantastic, it was amazing, it was loud. We rocked all night long, non-stop. It was an endless supply of raw, powerful, energetic, moving music. It was so much fun. I'm still havin' fun from it, revisiting it in my brain. It was excellent. Thank you, Wolfmother, for rolling through town. Gladly lookin' forward to the next time.
Lots of fun, this band has a great vibe.Very entertaining watching people climbing on stage. My only complaint: show was too short
The first two bands of the concert were great, Thenewno.2 (I cant remember how to spell it but its The new number 2) and Heartless Bastards. New number two had great guitar and stage presence. Heartless bastards was as well just as good. The female vocals were great. And then... Wolfmother. They started off with Dimensions which REALLY set the mood for the rest of the concert. They also sound amazing live. I wish i had gotten better seats... But it quickly turned into everyone standing up at the front of the stage. Andrew was amazing as always. They played a equal amount of their debut album and Cosmic egg. Wolfmother really showed it's psychedelia side. End of the show, Andrew jumped into the crowd. If they come to vancouver again i am going. No doubt. It is a concert you need to go in a lifetime.
wolfmother kicked some serious butt on saturday night. the band played for 2 solid hours and never skipped a beat. the crowd went crazy and made the security staff work hard with lots of stage diving all night. wolfmother has a great following of fans that is sure to grow as they add to their library of hits. thanks to the guitar hero exposure and the new album loaded with 16 tracks, this aussie band will sure to follow in the ac/dc rocking aussie vein. all in all, a rocking show from start to end. the lead singer was awesome. especially when they ended with "the joker" and he stage dove into a sea of loyal fans , BLINDFOLDED !! that is something you don't see from a band very often these days. hats off to wolfmother for a good loud show at a classy venue. will be sure to see them again when they hit it big and play gm place next.
In a time when the airwaves are dominated by the flavor of the month pop groups relying on song writers and drum machines, it was extremely refreshing to witness a band that relies on old fashioned classic rock and roll with the bluesy backbone not unlike the Black Crows. Three guitars and drums with a bit of keyboards for support and I found myself reminiscing of the days of Led Zeppelin. Nice to see that there are bands out there who haven't forgotten what music is all about.
This was the first concert I've been to and it was absolutely amazing. Wolfmother has so much energy when their up on stage and their setlist was a perfectly laid out. It was a standing venue, but that was okay because you get to rock out a bit more. Mosh pit was too crazy though - I got sucked in at one point and it took about five minutes to get both my girlfriend and I out. Stay away from the pit if you don't like that kind of stuff (like me). Otherwise, great concert!
It was a great show*Loud* and it got Louder!!! people kept jumping on the stage around the end, they didn't play the joker and the thief til the end*which i knew they'd do*. also the warm up bands were great!!! The show was Energetic throughout. i loved it.
Great energy ....had a blast and loved the venue...:)
As for the music, it rocked. Song after song, non stop music. Great stage presence, but I would have like to see more audience interaction. I think the whole time they said about 2 words. But they did rock out non stop, and the crowd was great. Solid concert, would definitely go a second time.
