Their 1970s albums The Yes AlbumFragileClose To The EdgeYessongs (a triple live album set), Tales From Topographic OceansRelayer and Going For The One were ground-breaking in musical style and content. Their music also became synonymous with artist Roger Dean whose distinctive YES logo design and artwork adorned the lavish gatefold presentation sleeves of many YES albums.

With sales of over 50 million records, the Grammy-award winning YES were inducted into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017 where they performed Roundabout from the album Fragile and the FM radio-friendly Owner Of A Lonely Heart from the 1985 album 90125.

    Ohhhhh Yessir.

by Jiveturkey on 2017-09-11Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Third time to see this band. First time was over 30 years ago, with pretty much a completely different lineup. The last two times was with more of the original lineup and older music. I look for three things when I go to a concert. Emotion of the players, Tightness of the band itself, and sound quality. Yes did not disappoint, and exceeded on all of these criteria.

    YES with Todd Rundgren

by suezin on 2017-09-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The music and vocals were very well done but alas there was only about three songs played the whole night that we recognized after being told they would play one song from each of ten albums. Being older groups we had hoped they would only play the songs that made them the big money from back in the day when we were young and actually paid for an LP or cassette. Jon Davison's voice was spot on for a Jon Anderson replica.

Todd Rundgren was more entertaining than YES...

by RFD1 on 2017-09-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Rundgren ain't everyone's cup of tea and I am not a fan but he was more entertaining than YES. That pretty much sums up the evening. YES was a snorefest and the lulled audience was proof. To top off the disappointment, Owner of a Lonely Heart didn't even make the set list. It just shows you how desperate my generation is to relive the big concert band era. The next hope will be Roger Waters....

It has amazed me how these genius people can only get better with age! That goes for Todd Rungren as well as Yes.

Yes was fantastic but need a better warm-up band

by progloverdrummer on 2017-09-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I was lucky enough to hear Yes as the headliners at the Cruise to the Edge 2017 so I was somewhat hesitant to buy tickets for this gig because I expected them to play the same songs. As they are my childhood heroes and you never know if you get another chance I decided to go and I was very happy I did. They played very different songs starting with a few from the album Time and a Word. They claimed they played something from each of the first 10 albums but unfortunately, I don't think they played anything from Relayer and there was just a short acoustic reference to the Tales from Topographic Oceans. Musically they remain fantastic, Billy Sherwood fits in perfectly, also looks and plays like Chris did. Apparently Steve Howe's son helped out Alan White on drums and did an admirable job. They will celebrate their 50th anniversary next year and I already can't wait to see them again.

Yes played another amazing set of songs

by Randallz on 2017-09-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Yes led by steve howe put on a amazing show. The set included a song from each of their first ten albums. Steve howe was playing some of my favorite classic guitar riffs all night. Supported by veteran drummer alan white and geoff downes it was great to see them still touring again.

Nothing boring about either act.Steve Howe proves he's one of the best guitarists in the world.I've seen a lot of concerts and this was one of my favorites..Should they ever come my way again I'm not hesitating to buy tickets.Scooter..

Todd was extremely load out of the gate seemed to tone it down after a few sets but consideration for virgin ears should be considered . Yes set the pace on the mark with vision and sound.

Yes s Howe unbelievable - Rundgren fantastic

by PROG1 on 2017-09-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Opening show, Todd Rundgren was worth the price of admission alone. High energy, this was a top calbre, polished performance with great variety in musical styles mixed to perfection. Wow - tremendous! Yes played classic Prog music representing their first ten albums. Steve Howe was clearly the highlight playing his many innovative guitar flurries and creative sounds. Jon Davidson was vocally near perfect and the harmonies were tight. Not quite the Yes of old, but this Prog music is of the highest standard. Well worth it!

    Yes was just OK

by April100 on 2017-09-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I had no idea when I bought the tickets that only the guitarist and the percussionist would be the only original band members. The new lead singer did a good job, however his stage presence was not strong.

    A little dissapointed

by KevBird on 2017-09-08Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

As a long time yes fan of 45 + years I guess I was expecting/hoping for something close to the band I grew up with. Although I enjoyed the performance as a whole , I found myself becoming increasingly dissapointed as the concert went on. In particular missing Ricks keyboards and Jon Andersons voice although the bass contribution seemed great. Obviously I knew the line up before I went so maybe I should have expected this. Howe has always been a big part of the sound of Yes for me and it seems his playing hasn't suffered much if at all over the years. He is still a spctacular performer. Overall though this was very much the Steve Howe show . Technically very good but for me somehow lacking the old magic. Todd Rungren was fantastic! Loads of energy and drive ! Never seen him before ! I'm a convert now eagerly looking at buying some of his work

    YES!

by Avalon58 on 2014-04-07Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

These guys are absolutely incredible. Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Alan White - talented and gifted musicians. John Davidson was good, be he is no Jon Anderson. And there was no Rick Wakeman of course, but nonetheless, an amazing band with some wonderful music. A true joy to witness - once again. And hopefully not for the last time.
