I was very disappointed in this year's grandstand show. However, as the last 2 years have been absolutely outstanding, especially last years, I can't see how they could possibly top it. There were some good points, the acrobatic troupe, the mixing of classical and native music, but overall, I was disappointed by a lacklustre performance. However, I vigorously applaud the Stampede crew and volunteers for doing an absolutely outstanding clean up job in record time after our recent flooding. Now THAT was something to cheer for!

Really enjoyed the Grandstand this year, and not just because our granddaughter is in her first year with the Young Canadians. The animated horses above the stage were incredible, fireworks were great, tribute to flood victims and volunteers was very touching and appropriate. Loved the use of local talent like the ballet and philharmonic.

Wonderful show full of surprises. Loved the mix of local talent with the Young Canadians.

I had not attended the show for several years and was SO impressed by the entertainment that I have been encouraging all my friends to go.

Great seats but most of race on a track that could only be viewed by Jumbotron. The stage show afterwards was excellent and definitely the best part.

Thoroughly enjoyed this event! Even though we were up on the seventh level (nosebleed section), I think it was the best place to be. We were able to see the chuckwagon s as they raced around the whole track. I haven't been to the Stampede since I was a young girl (I'm now over 60). I hope to go again in a couple of years again and will definitely seriously consider taking in this event again. Thought they did a great job of entertaining the crowd between heats while they redid the track.

This is the best part of the stampede, if you have never been to the grandstand show, you need to make time to go.

The chucks were entertaining as always.The Grandstand show is probably one of my favorite things about Stampede.The Young Canadians and all the musicians and entertainers they bring in are top notch.

We've been to many grandstand shows over the years - many to busy and hard to follow the story. This year the theme was clear and the progression entertaining. The variety of entertainers was fabulous, along with their skill. The weather helped too- warm & dry!

The seats we had were excellent to watch the chuckwagon races - and they were so exciting! However, the seats were not good to watch the grandstand show. There were two handrails in front of us that went right across the middle of the stage. We either had to slouch down to see part of the show or lean forward, which I'm sure would not have made the people behind us too happy. All in all, I was absolutely blown away that you were able to get the Stampede up and running after the flood - well done!!

Excellent races & amazing evening show with fireworks to close off the night. Highly recommend.

A must see, the seats were incredible and the show was totally worth it. First the chuck wagon races which were over 120 minutes that you could use to hang around, chat and feel the cowboy feeling. Then the show was all we expected and more.

I had family come from the Island and I was so proud of the show that was put on at the Grandstand. We loved the Chuckwagon races, they were so exciting. The show surpassed our expectations, the horses in the sky were great and the rest of the show was terrific. Good job Stampede organizers.......

I attended the event with high expectations as a result of input from a friend who had attended the event last year. I was blown away by the variety of music acts and the high quality, and professional caliber of the entertainers. They kept my attention the whole time and I had a few "aah" moments with the high flying acts. I would recommend this event as a " must see" event at the Calgary Stampede.

KISS did not play for long enough only one song why even bother there are so many songs that they have and all they did was make a apperence that was it. so disappointing. country ware was any country at the Calgary stampede one would think that the grand stand show would have at least one country singer! not a 80's rock band and some new hip hop singers. I though that Calgary and the Calgary stampede had a country theam don't get me wrong the show was ok but it drug on and there was to much Circus show was not what I was expecting after watching the chuck wagon races.

Young Canadians keep outdoing themselves! Great entertainment value and outstanding talent. The fireworks at the end were absolutely breathtaking.....and the tribute to the flood first responders, volunteers, and oh my God, our wonderful Mayor was beautiful and touching.

There had been a thunderstorm in the afternoon, so we were wet when we went to the show. During the show, it was still raining so the track had to be harrowed between each race. Being cold this was not enjoyable.

Just amazing! Every year you think you might get something the same as last year. But every year it's better!!!
