About

Journey in Concert

As the original legends of arena rock, few bands in existence put on a show quite like Journey. Anchored by singer Arnel Pineda's thrilling vocals and Neal Schon's unstoppable guitars, the band continues to show fans, both old and new, exactly how it's done as they tear through marathon sets of classics like "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Open Arms." After a short break from their relentless tour schedule, they're primed to blow minds again in 2014, pairing up with Steve Miller Band for select dates that are sure to be the stuff of classic rock legend for years to come.

Journey Background

San Francisco-born Journey is the quintessential arena rock band. Assembled in 1973 from the ashes of Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch, the band has since gone through a number of line-up changes — only stalwart guitarist Neal Schon has been with every incarnation. Despite a rotating roster, the band has sold 47 million albums in the US, and is consistently named one of the ten best American rock bands in history. While the '70s and '80s provided them with the most commercial success, their current manifestation with Filipino singer Arnel Pineda has given them truly global breadth.

    Venue was uncomfortably hot

by kraych on 2024-03-13Rogers Place - Edmonton

Toto was exceptional! Was way more than anticipated. Journey was good as always, but had moments of poor sound and overly loud at times. The venue was uncomfortably hot. So much so that we had to leave earlier than we wanted. Otherwise, loved the concert.

Toto was amazing. Journey performance was amazing but sound was bad. So loud that was distorted and hard to listen to at times.

Well, very good concert enjoyed it very much. Like the old songs, especially, and they played it very well. The sound was quite distorted at times in this arena.

    Journey

by kathy on 2024-03-13Rogers Place - Edmonton

The concert was amazing but I thought they were having some technical difficulties in the beginning because they sound very muffled. I love Journey and have seen them many times in concert and in Las Vegas Sang all the old songs. Love them

    Excellent Show

by Brother D Blues on 2024-03-13Rogers Place - Edmonton

The musicianship of both Toto and Journey made for an excellent evening. Leaving it all on stage proving why some groups have long lasting staying power. 10/10 would definitely go again.

    Journey

by Gramma on 2024-03-13SaskTel Centre - Saskatoon

Our seats were in the nosebleed section so the sound was terrible. Otherwise I am sure they were fine. It didn’t seem like the crowd was into it either. This concert was late for a Sunday night also Journey could have come out at 8 instead of 9

    Journey

by Dano on 2024-03-13SaskTel Centre - Saskatoon

Show ran smoothly, on time. Sound could have been tuned better to clearly hear the singers voice. Voice was lost in the guitar and thumping bass.

    Awesome Show!

by Denny 64 on 2024-03-13Rogers Place - Edmonton

This is one concert we decided to at the last minute attend. We were lucky enough to get some of the best seats in the house I feel. Toto and Journey put on awesome shows. taking us all back to our youth was an awesome experience for me and my wife we would attend to concert. If either Dad was playing at it they left and lasting impression on us. Thank you guys so much for the great show. also thanks to the venue. I felt very safe there and it was easy to get in and out of nice job at Rogers place around 10 out of 10 experience. Thanks so much sincerely

    Disappointed in Edmonton

by Kris on 2024-03-12Rogers Place - Edmonton

Sad to say but Edmontons enthusiasm for Journey the other night fell completely flat. People were sitting. People not cheering. Journey was incredible and I feel that people forget how incredible this band is. Pineda’s voice is remarkable. I just wish Rogers would have been so loud with cheers that the band felt appreciated.
