About

Train are a Grammy Award-winning rock band who have released 11 studio albums, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. Formed in San Francisco in 1993, Train released their self-titled debut in 1998, but they broke through to the mainstream with their 2001 follow-up, Drops of Jupiter, which became their first of six Top 10 albums behind their seven-time platinum single of the same name. To date, Train have logged six Top 20 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and four No. 1 songs on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, including 2003’s “Calling All Angels” and 2009’s “Hey, Soul Sister.” The group has embraced various genres through collaborations with leading country artists like Martina McBride, Ashley Monroe and Tenille Townes, rapper Travie McCoy and pop singers such as Sofía Reyes and Cam. Train have gone on tour nearly every year since 1996, playing in over 25 countries and sharing the bill with the likes of Hall & Oates, Goo Goo Dolls and Jewel. As of 2024, the band is made up of founding frontman Pat Monahan, Taylor Locke (guitar and vocals), Hector Maldonado (bass and vocals), Jerry Becker (keyboards and guitar), and Matt Musty (drums).

    Train review

by Joyful on 2023-06-27The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

It was an amazing concert they were so energetic and seemed to be loving the crowd there to see them. However kind of disapoointed that their attention was directed to the main floor crowd and no mention of the ones sitting higher up in the mezzanine seats

    Train

by Renee on 2023-06-27The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

The concert itself was great. We enjoyed the performance very much. However, the Colloseum is starting to put down way too many rules, restrictions and nonsense. Concerts have always been my preference of entertainment. We go, as adults, to enjoy the music, dance and get as close as we can to the stage, especially when you buy tickets 5 rows from the stage. Restricting access to the stage for the first 2 front rows only is ridiculous. There was lots of room there for many. Then, half way through the concert we are allowed to go up!!!!! That is nothing but control, absolutely nothing about safety. This world had better get off the woke and obey TRAIN soon or we are all doomed. Wake up people and stop following the nonsense of the elite trying to overcontrol this world.

We loved Train, Pat Monahan was very gracious in taking selfies with the audience and giving away T-shirts. Great band, great show, we loved everything about it.

If you can, go see Train in concert

by FrankieN on 2023-06-27The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Due to a sudden change in plans, I ended up at the concert alone. I almost didn’t go! But I’m sure glad that I did. The music and the stage lighting was everything I could imagine and more. Train is one group you must see live. What a show!

    Amazing!

by em on 2023-06-27The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Amazing show! Sound as great in person as they do on the radio, interacted with audience, talented, and cool that so many different demographics love their music. I've never seen an artist more than once, but I will definitely be seeing them again! My mom and I had a blast

    Live music is back

by Tim S on 2022-07-14Budweiser Stage - Toronto

The show was scheduled to start at 6:30 pm and it ran right on schedule. Very impressed with the lineup. Will Anderson, Blues Traveler, Jewel and then Train. It’s a great venue despite the $18 beers, like seriously…. Really enjoyed seeing everyone have a blast. Can’t wait for next show

    Awesome live!

by Redlow on 2022-07-13Budweiser Stage - Toronto

I was expecting to enjoy the show, but I wasn't in love with the new album so I was a bit hesitant. Well, the reality was that the concert was awesome! They are definitely performers. There wasn't a moment during the concert where I was bored. The song selection was the perfect mix of new and old and now I have a new respect for the latest songs. If you have loved any of Trains music, I would highly recommend seeing them live. I would be amiss to mention that both Blues Traveller and Jewel who opened were fantastic. I loved hearing Jewel after all these years. TL;RL? Great concert and I highly recommend it.

    Great show but the facility...

by Patricia on 2022-07-13Budweiser Stage - Toronto

The five stars are for the Train show. The rest of this review is of the venue... We paid hard earned $$$ to sit up close only to find people in front of us upgraded from lawn seats!!!! Also some upgraded to Row 3 from lawn seats. Price things right and ALL up front seats will be filled! The washrooms were horrendous with floods midway through the show! Food/drink prices ridiculous! $6.00 for a bottle of water!! ONE tall boy beer $18.00. This is sheer price gouging... Then they wonder why they don't sell out the show, or sell merch or you get the point. No wonder the young people get lawn seats--hoping to get an upgrade and then can afford to turn into booze hound drunks. I had a beer spilled on my back and later hot coffee as they were trying to sober up to go home. I have tickets for more shows to the venue and plan to have a picnic outside the venue with affordable, healthier items. I bring in my own water. Only way to make the day affordable... And don't get me started on all the extra fees...The End. The show itself was awesome!
