They are such a great band to see live! their atmosphere always keeping the audience engaged and excited! love their music and its even better live! YAY

I am a huge fan of Vampire Weekend and they definitely did not disappoint. I cannot wait to see them live again and will recommend checking them out live!!!

Vampire Weekend are amazing to see live! I've seen them 3 times now. But with 3 full length albums out now, I would expect them to play longer than an hour. That was disappointing. They have more than enough material to put on a full show. Great concert. Just not long enough.

They put on an amazing show! They were engaging and fun to watch and their theatrics were fantastic...I'd definitely would go again!

I have seen Vampire weekend three times now, and this is the best they have ever been. I dont know if its just because they love playing to a NYC crowd, or if it was the venue itself, but that was the best I have ever seen them. Crowd was fun and really into the show. Except for the $10 drinks, the show was top shelf

I should start by saying I'm a big fan of VW, and have been since their 2008 XL Records debut. Contra was/is a great sophomore effort, arguably better than Vampire Weekend. I saw Vampire Weekend earlier this year at Sound Academy, a much smaller venue, and they put on one of the better concerts I've seen. They put equal effort into this show, but the end result (at least for me) was nowhere near as good. A big part of it is the venue, the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, which is not one of the better places to see a concert in T.O. It's a sprawling facility with poor acoustics. The open space works for stadium rock such as Bon Jovi, but not a band like Vampire Weekend. The other thing that takes away from the enjoyment, regretfully, are VW's fans. I know from speaking to friends what a different experience it is seeing VW in concert now versus a year or two ago. Even with my experience at Sound Academy less than a year ago, it felt as though I was part of something special, like I'd discovered something. Most of the fans seemed to really get the music, understand the lyrics and appreciate VW's unique afro-pop sound. Now it's different. The average age at the Amphitheatre show was much younger (perhaps it shouldn't have been an all ages show?), predominantly teenage girls. Sweaty teenage girls. Sweaty teenage girls who sing at the top of their lungs to every song. I'm not trying to sound bitter here, there's nothing wrong with crowd participation, but things like I'm describing do detract from the enjoyment of the show. And crowd surfing – people were crowd surfing. At a Vampire Weekend concert. Seriously? I would go see Vampire Weekend again, but not at a large venue, and not for quite a while. Lastly, in response to the negative comments about the opening acts (Dum Dum Girls and Beach House), some people obviously don't "get it". Dum Dum girls put on a good set, not very talkative, but that's just them. As for Beach House, they were every bit as good as VW, maybe even a little better. It's not a ridiculous statement to say that half the audience come to the concert to see Beach House. Far from "putting the crowd to sleep", Beach House got a huge response. The Good: I Think Ur A Contra, Springsteen cover, anemones, Ezra explaining the chandelier "situation." The Bad: Nearly identical setlist to Sound Academy show, annoying fans, no chandeliers, no glowing-eyed Contra girl stage backdrop, no "The Kids Don't Stand a Chance", no "Ottoman." Bottom Line: Great band, awful venue.

I've seen quite a few big names over the past few years (Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, KOL, Drake -- you could say I've got a broad taste in music), and without a doubt, the Vampire Weekend show was the most fun I have ever had at a concert. They had a great vibe that just makes you bop along with them during the whole show, and a lot of great moments in between with Ezra and the audience. There really is no better word to describe it than FUN. And getting to see them sing every single one of their songs (except for The Kids Don't Stand A Chance) made the experience even better. I would DEFINITELY see them again. I liked the Dum Dum Girls too, despite the lead singer not having any personality at all. Didn't enjoy Beach House though. They put a lot of people to sleep.

Great show, crowd into it, band played well. Will definitely see them again when they are in T.O.

Opening bands kinda sucked, but VW was amazing! Super pleased with all aspects of the show.

Music was fantastic! Everyone was dancing in the isles... the music was great, friends that I went with had never heard of Vampire Weekend before... they are now fans!

Nothing more to say than AMAZING! Vampire Weekend know how to put on a concert! Their playlist was perfect and their showmanship was full of energy!! They rock my world!

I enjoyed the show very much they are very talented and their sounds is so much FUN! You can't help but dance around! Lead singer so talented and such a unique voice. Great turn out!

Vampire Weekend was a rockin show -- lotsa fun and good sound. The supporting acts were disappointing. The Dum Dum girls not bad, singer is good but the drummer could use a proper kit with some lessons. Beachouse songs all sound the same -- the lead could use some rockin out on that keyboard -- I'm assuming she can really play if she wanted to.

Until yesterday, I was on the fence when it came to fanship for Vampire Weekend. I had the albums, but never fully dived into them; hesitating through all the hype that surrounded the band. After catching their live set, it’s apparent that the hype is merited. Respect was immediate as the band came out to a blaring intro of DJ Khaled’s All I Do Is Win. The band seemed bashful thanking the crowd’s applause with shy waves. After enthusing the crowd more with Holiday, front-man Ezra Koenig showed some mind-blowing vocal range busting out the chorus of White Sky. The band did a great job through high energy tracks, amicable banter and a sharp dress-code of button-ups and tapered jeans. Also awesome on the bill were Beach House. The duo had a couple of additional members for their live set. Dressed in all black, the band put on an intimate set that seemed more appropriate for a family room than The Amphitheater. Alex Scally choosing to play his electric guitar sitting down for majority of the show, set the tone for the relaxed artists accompanied by a crowd singing along. Overall, the concert was solid and both bands exceeded our expectations. They’re hard work on stage now keeps us as fans.

Vampire Weekend were amazing at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. Unlike other rock/alternative musicians, the band showcased their raw talent in an upbeat and energetic set. A variety of songs were played off both their debut and follow up album, as well as a cover of the popular song, "down". The band also used a simple backdrop, and intense lighting to make the concert visually appealing, and make their small presence on stage appear massive in a large venue. This would have to be one of my favourite concerts . The openers were horrible, but Vampire Weekend stole the show with a remarkable stage show and sound.

Had so much fun. VW sounds wonderful live! Downfall: They didn't sing "the kids don't stand a chance"

I would venture to say that these guys are even better live than their studio albums. Combine that with the fact that Ezra is oozing wit and charm on stage and you have a live show to remember. Highly recommend!!!

Sound amazing live, got the crowd really into it! Had a great time!
