Beautifully done. A recommended Christmas activity.
What a wonderful night out. It’s our annual family night out together at the ballet. The atmosphere and performance were first class as usual. This event in our books is one never to be missed. Bravo and thanks Alberta Ballet!
We have been going to Alberta Ballet's The Nutcracker for 30 years (and danced in it for 3 years), and the dancing gets better every year. The show was wonderful. What we didn't appreciate was the amount of snacks and drinks allowed. Constant opening of plastic wrappers was noisy and distracting. The theatre was filled with garbage when we left, as if it was a hockey game.
The ballet was stunning. I haven’t been in over 25 years and it was as good as it was as good as I remembered. The music has always been beautiful and the performance was enchanting. I highly recommend it to everyone and won’t wait another 25 years to see it again.
Hard to review such great talented dancers. The skill was amazing and dance beautiful. That being said the entire first act was rather dimly lit and seemed to drag on and on and on and on. I noted a few people left at intermission and that says it all. The second half was much better with great lighting and beautiful dancing but NO more story lines to follow; pretty much all dancing. Our family wont return as it is the traditional story and dance we came for . Not pastel and dim lights.
Thé performance was great. Please do not use ticket master in the future.
The Alberta Ballet never disappoints, the show was amazing. My grandson saw it for the first time, he loved it. The costumes were beautiful the choreography was wonderful. I Can’t wait till next year. See you again.
The ballet performance itself was lovely! The costumes and backdrops were perfect for a winter setting. The ONLY complaint was the auditorium itself…I couldn’t see any of the show without leaning either far right or far left to see around the person’s head in front of me. As dancers moved across the stage I had to keep leaning from right to left and left to right again etc. It was terrible!! I felt sorry for the poor person behind me as well. We sat in Row L middle front of stage. The seats should be staggered instead of directly behind each other. Next time I will choose either first or 2nd row ONLY or else terraced seats on each side.
My first time ever seeing The Nutcracker! Always wanted to see it and it was worth the wait! Beautiful costumes, wonderful music, state of the art stage backdrops and first class Ballerinas and Ballerinas!!! Absolutely loved the entire experience!!
I have always wanted to see the Nutcracker Ballet and this was the year! It did not disappoint! It was magical and beautiful! The dancers are true athletes! I also loved that they had costumed ballerinas wandering around before the performance so people could take photos. That was awesome! I definitely took advantage of that! I wanted a photo for my memory album. I loved all of it! Thank you Alberta Ballet! You made this “old lady’s” dream come true!
So much beauty - hard to take it all in. From the sets and costumes to the music (performed by our own CPO) and dance - it was all stunning perfection. A fantastic event to include in your winter holiday plans for young and old - the whole family can enjoy it.
The dancing, music, costumes, sets and story were very well done and I was impressed and had a great time.
Beautiful performance and the music was wonderful , love the Christmas spirit and how everyone dresses up for the event
This is now the second time I've been to The Nutcracker at the Jubilee and it has been consistently great. The set, costumes, and performances are all engrossing. The auditorium seating is relatively comfortable and the Jubilee is just generally a great venue. I was late to the performance, but rather than shutting me out, they let me in to sit at the back, which ended up being phenomenal. Lots of space and a better view of the stage than my original seat! My only note is that the parking is really bad at the Jubilee, so try to get there at least 30-45 minutes early if you're driving.
I found myself in an incredible fairy tale, it was unforgettable! I will definitely come to the next performances! Thank you very much.
Went with my mother to see the Nutcracker and we were both thrilled with the performance. Everything was done beautifully. Can’t wait for the next performance that we can make it to.
Wonderful experience! We will definitely go back. Even the boys in our family liked it more than they expected to.
Everything I was expecting the costumes music stage settings were beautiful the dancers were amazing
All our family and friends were impress by the dancers and the costumes.
I wish there was a matinee performance 30 minutes shorter
