This ballet is beautiful and I love everything about it.
Never having seen the nutcracker before, the dancing was a site to see live. Hearing a real band play as people were dancing was also spectacular. I am not much for the ballet but this was a show I will never forget. Great performance.
The show was spectacular, the music, the dancing, costume and set designwere all 10/10. The theatre does not enforce a dress code which was very noticeable (dress up if you wish to, many ladies were in gown and men in tuxedos too) and some audience members were very loud, ushers were not available to ask for quiet during the show. No fault lf the staff though. Overall 9/10
It was a magical show! But it would’ve been even more wonderful if all of the casts came out at the end of the show.
It was my first time seeing the Nutcracker ballet, and it was absolutely amazing! The dancers showed so much expression, making it really easy to follow along and know exactly what was happening in the story. I will definitely be going to watch it again!
Great even, for whole family. Gorgeous costumes and decors. Music a balm to listeners ears. And dancing fantastic.
The introduction to the ballet by the Artistic Director was beautiful and professional. Each ballet scene ended and started well. The dancers were perfect. The ballet costumes although detailed and artistic were all too similar in colour. The children's part was stunning and suberbly choreographed. It was a stunning non stop vision! I will certainly see Nutcracker again
Thank you for a very magical and amazing performance. I so much appreciate you giving the younger dancers an experience and a chance to learn and to grow. They all did an amazing job. It was, in my eyes, the most magical performance ever in my now almost 7 years of seeing the ballet. The choreography was slightly different, I loved it, the costumes are stunning…so well done.
Took my 8 year old granddaughter and she and I both were very impressed and enjoyed it immensely
The ballet was excellent to watch, but I could not follow the story. I didn't see the playbil prior to watching the show, so I was confused why there was a bird involved, lil red riding hood, and the cat?? Not being able to follow any story line took away from whole performance unfortunately. It felt very detached from performance, which is sad, as I was looking very forward to seeing the event.
Rather than deal with parking we had someone drop us off and pick us up. That worked well. The ballet was wonderful, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Costumes were fabulous. At intermission the women’s bathroom was crowded with a line up. (Seems to always be like that. ) Pre show it was a lovely touch that there was a Photo Booth to grab a photo of us at the ballet. The dancers work really hard. There’s always room for improvement but the entire evening was a great experience.
Advertised as Sleeping Beauty however the story line in the first Act was loosely based on the movie as we didn’t say around for the second and third act. The dancing was impeccable however there needed to be more creativity with set design/changes as the effort was place in wardrobe and theatrics with maleficent character “disappear”.
Very family friendly, a great classic, definitely recommend!
Great music, dancing, performances, costumes very beautiful, only small wish that maybe the music should have been live and not prerecored
From the beginning to the end, everything deserves 5 ⭐️. We were greeted friendly, people gathered and had snacks and refreshments, no long line ups, ticket checks were so fast. The ballet itself was brilliant, beautiful, and done with a lot of love. I really enjoyed the younger dancers, they need the chance to get out there and dance…and a few stumblers are not the end of the world. Everyone is learning…intermission line ups went fast and washrooms were clean. Parking at the end was a bit crowded but that’s to expect. Everyone was good with merging and letting others go first, I was out in 15 min from the upper parking floor. Totally ok… thank you for a wonderful evening. Vera
just was a wee bit too long. Too many individual dancers . Lovely evening
I tried getting the tickets swapped but I was too late (less than 24 hours). I was willing to go to an Edmonton show but there's nothing they could do to accommodate me.
Thoroughly enjoyed Sleeping Beauty. The costumes and set were amazing and the ballet was magical. My only criticism has nothing to do with the ballet...whoever runs the Jubilee would you pls get some better wines for $10/glass! And an assortment? Why have 2 poor merlots as your only choice for reds?
Performance was amazing. The dancers were spectacular. It was a fantastic experience.
The costumes were lovely and the set design to enhance the beautiful ballet
