About

Amon Amarth have been marching purposefully from triumph to greater triumph for the last two decades. Formed amid the fertile Swedish metal scene in the mid 90's, these dedicated diehards brought a new sense of drama and destruction to the world of heavy music, propagating tales of Viking mythology and mortal combat over a devastating soundtrack of crushing rhythms, refined melody and rousing, rebellious refrains. From the release of their debut album Once Sent From The Golden Hall in 1998, to their latest masterpiece Jomsviking, Amon Amarth’s trajectory has been firmly upward, as this band’s devotion to touring the world and spreading their inspirational creed resonates with the ever-growing hordes of like-minded metalheads.

Swedish war machine Sabaton are on their way to worldwide heavy metal domination. These platinum selling, Falun-based heavy metal heroes are heading to Australia. No mercy will be given and all guns will be blazing, as this tireless killing machine prepares to blow fans to another dimension, playing songs off their entire catalogue as well as their latest opus The Last Stand.

First time being at the Rebel for a show. Great venue, awesome metal line up! Definitely going back to see these guys again!

  • Awesome but shorter

by Thunder on 2019-10-13MTELUS - MontrealRating: 4 out of 5

The show was awesome and the ambiance too. But looking back at each bands setlist, some were shorter than in previous venues. We did noticed it because some songs we were expecting were not played and not replaced either.

Amon Amarth always put on a great show and did not disappoint, Arch Enemy and At the Gates give a solid prestation as well! I unfortunately missed the opening act.

Vous avez vendu trop de billets. C'était trop plein et pas capable de voir le show comme il faut.Pourtant j'ai déjà été voir un show sold out et c'était pas comme ca. C'est ma dernière visite au Métropolis!

Had a pretty great time at rebel, seeing Amon amarth and Arch Enemy! I feel like children should not be allowed in this venue due to the nature of heavy metal. Was very thankful for security handing out water to us thirsty fans

  • Incredible performance

by Oldmetalhead on 2019-10-12REBEL - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Grand Magus and At The Gates did a good job of getting the crowd pumped up. It was all new music for me. Heard of the bands but not the music. They will both go places in the metal world. Arch Enemy blew me away right from the opener The World is Yours, to the finale Nemesis. Personally would have liked to see them with a longer set list and stage time, but I know they were not headlining. Amon Amarth rocked out an incredible set list and I cannot wait for another tour through Toronto. Viking metal was well represented..... The acoustics inside Rebel is the best I've ever heard in a club, and there is not a bad seat in the house. Felt very intimate and I loved it! Skal!

  • First Experience - Loved the show!

    by ThorFan1989 on 2019-10-12REBEL - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Twas my first time coming down to Rebel and my first time seeing Amon Amarth in concert. I had an absolute blast. My only issue was that I wanted more music played (although to the band's credit, they had already done an hour or so long set). Their sound live was absolutely amazing, which is the best thing to find out. The crowd was respectful and great, I had a great time out.

  • Father of the Wolf

by Brometheus on 2019-10-05Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

They were as good as they were the last time I saw them...meaning amazing in every way. Venue was spectacular and aside from the fact I am old and just want to see the main liner now days, they had really good openers. Grand Magus surprised me pleasantly. Raise you horn and Amon is a good call every time.

Far as live bands go Amon Amarth is right at the top of my list. I’ve saw them half a dozen times and they always sound great and know how to entertain. Became more of a fan after seeing them live the first time and I greatly appreciate how often they tour. They’re touring machines and horns up for them not skipping Canada. See you in the pit next time around!
