ARCHITECTS IN CONCERT:
Over the past decade, British metalcore outfit Architects has steadily risen through the ranks to become one of the genre's most potent and revered forces. The band's socially conscious message and blistering sound come together perfectly at their live shows, where the face-melting screams and growls of frontman Sam Carter drive home pointed lyrics about the perils of religious extremism, global warming, and oceanic collapse. Ticket buyers can't help but rock out as the band thrashes through heavy-hitting anthems like "These Colours Don't Run" and "Gravedigger", making for an adrenaline-filled concert experience that does fitting justice to the band's aggressive sound.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Architects was formed in Brighton, UK in 2004 by guitarist Tom Searle and his twin brother, drummer Dan. They brought on vocalist Matt Johnson, guitarist Tim Hiller-Brook, and bassist Tim Lucas, and in 2006 they released their debut album Nightmare. Johnson left the band shortly after the album's release, and Sam Carter -- the band's current frontman -- quickly stepped in to fill his shoes. Architects lost no time with Carter, whose personal approach to songwriting marked a new direction for the band, and in 2007 they released their sophomore album Ruin. That record led to the band's first US tour, and their high-octane performances on the road helped earn them a substantial stateside fanbase. In 2008 Architects signed to Century Media Records, and in 2009 they made their debut on the label with their third album Hollow Crown. That album marked their first appearance on the UK Albums Chart -- a feat they would repeat with their next three albums, including 2014's Lost Forever // Lost Together, which peaked at No. 16. A bone-shattering live act known for their heavy sound and Carter's melodic roar, Architects continues to deliver sweltering performances on tour.

It was a total blast! Heavy as can be, 3 absolutely talented bands in one night! 10/10 would go again! *****
Wow! What a show! Had a great time, as usual and i will go again next time, for sure. Architects, my favorite band and also the best for the crew talk. So thankfull to know this band. Great humans at first.😍🤘🏼😜🤘🏼
Love Architects. Have to say that first. So they are playing an arena? Okay...okay. They added a second show at a club last time they were in MTL. So, I guess I see what they were aiming for here. Sam did say that MTL was the biggest show on their tour. The floor was full, but arena was half empty, and I was moved from the seat I had purchased. At least I got moved to a better/closer seat. They just are not an arena band...yet. This felt too big for them. Their set list was ok, but only just over an hour. They finished at 1030pm . Most shows of this size would go until 11. I felt shortchanged by this performance to be honest. I get what they are going for, to hit that next level. I want success for these guys, but with a setlist that short and playing songs mainly off the new album( which is a great album) the area I was in ( just chatting with people around me) and myself felt very underwhelmed by the show. They had a chip on their shoulder after the reception to their last album. There was alot of fan pushback and outcry over it. I feel like since then they just refuse to play any of their old bangers just out of spite almost. I could be way off, but that just my opinion. When they decide they need to step up their game to headline big arenas, honor their legacy by playing some older stuff and get over the fact that their fans didn't like that album and move on.....then I think they will get to the big stage. Until then, as much as I love them, I'm not sure if see them again...especially in a 9,000 arena.
Foule en délire, ambiance survoltée, les meilleurs succès du et le nouvel album, le tout réunit! C’était un show mémorable!
Ils avaient été mon coup de coeur du dernier Aftershock en octobre 2024 et j'avais très hâte de les revoir. Ils ne m'ont pas déçue. J'ai déjà hâte de les revoir!
Nothing to say everything was perfect also erra and holy water was cool
Everything was phenomenal. I recommend these group x1000%
Very easy to get in/out drinks facilities staff, will go back again. Multiple times...didn't even go into the casino. Now for the show. Unreal. Just a great last minute experience that I knew I might not get again. Think he cracked his voice at the end, you know it was 100% intense. Live music is making a major comeback. What are you saving your money for? Another pandemic?
It was nice to see Architects, Erra, Holywatr in Toronto! Everything was dope, but just Sam's mic got a lot of upper sounds, so it was changing the scream at the end in an uncomfortable way. But the rest was awesome, thanks!
