Green Day redefined punk rock in a post-grunge world. Rising from the Bay Area punk scene in 1987, the band released several EPs before coalescing into their long-standing lineup of vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool. The trio shared the independent album Kerplunk in 1991 before releasing their major label debut Dookie in 1994. Behind singles like “Longview,” “Basket Case” and “When I Come Around,” which each topped the Alternative Airplay chart, Dookie reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Dookie earned Green Day three Grammy nominations, including a win for Best Alternative Music Performance, and the album continues to stand as the band’s best-selling release with over 20 million copies sold worldwide. Green Day followed with 1995’s Insomniac and 1997’s Nimrod, with the latter boasting the band’s biggest creative shift with the rare acoustic single, “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).” After 2000’s Warning, Green Day spent the next few years developing their first of several ambitious projects, the 2004 punk rock opera American Idiot. The album became Green Day’s first to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and it logged two Top 10 singles with “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends.” American Idiot garnered seven Grammy nominations and won two, including Best Rock Album. The band won the Best Rock Album Grammy again with 2009’s concept album 21st Century Breakdown. A stage adaptation of American Idiot debuted on Broadway in 2010 and won two Tony Awards and a Grammy for the cast recording. Furthermore, Green Day were first-ballot inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.

Second time seeing Green Day. Love their energy and enthusiasm. Always one of the best concerts! Not a fan of the Hamilton venue.
I've never seen Green Day live before so this was an amazing experience. It's obvious they love the fans and the fans love them right back and more. An awesome mix of old and new music and the energy from the band made the need for a high tech stage show irrrelevant. The show was perfectly pulled off and no one was left wanting for anything. I don't think you could have walked out and be disappointed in the performance even if you were a casual fan of the band and their music.
Billy Joe Armstrong made sure no one sat down from the opening number through to the closer ~ Green Day hit all the highlights from their career for new and old fans alike. A raucous tribute of Johnny B. Goode was definitely a highlight (and a touch of class too!)
This band puts on an amazing show! They really know how to get the crowd going and play for a long time (they were on from 9:00pm till 11:30pm)! Highly recommended!
A lot of energy, an excellent balance between old and new songs. Billy Joe was in voice, jumped all over the stage.
Best concert I have been to! Billie Jo gave a non stop high energy performance for 2hrs straight. Awesome mix of old and new songs that had me singing along. A really fun experience!
Amazing show by Green Day, so much energy, so much passion. Security employees were major A-Holes at Centre Videotron though. Keeping picks thrown by Mike Dirnt to the fans for themselves and taking away fan signs even though they are not hiding anybody's view.
Billie Joe is in great shape. And when he is, he ranks as one ot the top entertainers in the industry. Mike and Tre are still performing with passion. The setlist is filled with most of their classics. They do a lot of interacting with the crowd, inviting a few fans to perform with them on stage. Overall, it's a great show.
|It was an awesome concert. we had good seats. ticket buying was easy.
This is the second time I see Green Day live. Amazing as usual! One of the bands you have to see in your lifetime.
A great show, the hits were there, lots of energy on stage and in the crowd, it was a great evening. I've been a fan since the beginning of the band and their show was awesome.
The concert was awesome and the attitude of the singer and everyone was amazing
WOW! Best show ever, I had goose bomb all over the body and I was amazed at how they played the crowd. I will see them again :-)
Great venue and fantastic concert, Green Day you are awesome...was totally blown away " Billie" is a real showman love the way he got the audience involved go Green Day...
What more can I say, I love green day so I took my kids who also really like them and we had a blast. They are very tight and just really cool to see them.
my first time seeing Green Day in concert was fantastic they had the crowd from the moment they stepped on stage, and it felt like they were having as much fun as everyone in the crowd. great mix of old and new songs, as well as tribute songs that everyone could sing along with. High energy, great message of Love and Unity, and a mix of generations all part of a great live performance
Probably THE most fun I've ever had at a concert!!
Green Day always puts the best shows on. I highly recommend going to their concerts. I go to every show I can because of their energy and quality of show. They really put their time into it planning for the show, money and heart and soul into their show for their fans. I absolutely love this band. They are always awesome in concerts! I have gone to most of Green Days concerts in Hamilton, Toronto, Barrie and area and every concert I have seen of theirs has been incredible. I hope they come back soon!
Fantastic sound engineering, great energy, awesome voice and instrumental playing. Top rated live band.
