Green Day redefined punk rock in a post-grunge world. Rising from the Bay Area punk scene in 1987, the band released several EPs before coalescing into their long-standing lineup of vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool. The trio shared the independent album Kerplunk in 1991 before releasing their major label debut Dookie in 1994. Behind singles like “Longview,” “Basket Case” and “When I Come Around,” which each topped the Alternative Airplay chart, Dookie reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Dookie earned Green Day three Grammy nominations, including a win for Best Alternative Music Performance, and the album continues to stand as the band’s best-selling release with over 20 million copies sold worldwide. Green Day followed with 1995’s Insomniac and 1997’s Nimrod, with the latter boasting the band’s biggest creative shift with the rare acoustic single, “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).” After 2000’s Warning, Green Day spent the next few years developing their first of several ambitious projects, the 2004 punk rock opera American Idiot. The album became Green Day’s first to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and it logged two Top 10 singles with “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends.” American Idiot garnered seven Grammy nominations and won two, including Best Rock Album. The band won the Best Rock Album Grammy again with 2009’s concept album 21st Century Breakdown. A stage adaptation of American Idiot debuted on Broadway in 2010 and won two Tony Awards and a Grammy for the cast recording. Furthermore, Green Day were first-ballot inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.

from beginning to end was awesome I couldn't talk the next day that is how awesome it was and it was my first concert ever
The set up at this venue was absolutely brilliant. Limiting the GA floors helped to contain only the people that purchased those tickets. Which meant we weren't competing, squished and unable to move. Green Day were amazing, as per usual. This band treats each performance as if there are no other performances. They perform every day like this. The band works so hard to make sure that everyone is having a good time. I love this band with all my heart and even after 37 times, it feels like the first every time.
Went to the show and was not disappointed! The band had sooo much energy! They did a great job getting a good response from the audience! They had everyone dancing and singing to all their classic songs. Good job!!!!!
If you like Green Day's music, you should definitely try one of their concerts. I've been to two of their concerts now and they're just a rocking good and fun event. I highly recommend. Billie Joe Armstrong definitely knows how to work a crowd.
This concert was definitely one of the best I've ever been to, definitely in the Top 5. From beginning to end it was non-stop energy, hit after hit, and lots of audience interaction and participation. Billie Joe is an amazing front man. They put 100% into every number with no slowing down of any of their familiar songs. The fans were on their feet throughout and there was a great mix of ages in the crowd. I would highly recommend going to see Green Day if they come to your area, and I'm even thinking of seeing them again in August in Toronto.
A ton of fun, incredible energy for 2 whole hours.
You gotta see these guys! Right from the second the show started, I've never seen a frontman with so much energy. Billie Joe Armstrong works a crowd like no other I've ever seen.!!! I didn't think he could keep that pace up through the whole show, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The whole band was amazing and I had a great time! I would highly recommend this show to anyone.
First time swing this band and they blew me away. Definitely would see them again. The venue in Hamilton is actually not a bad place for a concert. Better then the ACC for sure
From the moment the band hit the stage Billie Joe`s undeniable infectious energy had the crowd on its feet for 2.5 hrs . The band sprinkled the set with a few new tunes from Revolution Radio but the core of the set list was filled with all the classics you come to expect from a Green Day show. They also did a pretty damn good cover of Johnny B. Goode in honour of the late great Chuck Berry. Great show , great evening ! Highly recommend catching them this summer !
Great show they shredded it from start to finish. One of my favorite larger venues to see live concerts.
Simply Amazing!!!!! Best band ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unforgettable concert! Can't wait to see them in Toronto in August!
This was an incredible concert experience. Green Day put on a spectacular show. Pyro, water canons & tshirt launchers... this was one of the greatest concets i've ever attended. I'm so happy to have been able to be so close as well. The seating on the floor made the show more enjoyable since you weren't constantly being shoved around by other fans. Lovely venue, lovely show... just an overall perfect night.
Very entertaining, good variety of music, fun time
The energy, the acuistics, it was an amazing show. Took my son to his first concert and it was wonderful. To see and watch performers go 2hours non stop was amazing.
Absolutely amazing concert. Venue was clean and respectable
Billie Joe had the crowd standing on their feet right from the first sing and right to the very end. So much energy and passion!
One of the best concerts I've ever been to. Billy Joe was full of energy and totally engaged the crowd. They sounded amazing live and played 28 songs!
High energy, witty commentary and never a dull moment. Interacting with the crowd the band rocked for over 2 hours. Great show. I'll be seeing them again this summer!
They have so much energy and sounded amazing! The energy in the room was great.
