    awesome!

by lesviolettes on 2011-02-06The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

This show was hysterical, I absolutely loved it. I took my 14yr old daughter to see it and though I was worried that it might be a bit over the top in the vulgarity, it wasn't. Don't get me wrong, there is swearing and puppet sex, but really, they're puppets...Not a big deal from my perspective. Some really good content for young people too. Growing up and leaving home and college to enter the real world, the reality of the job market and finding out life isn't necessarily what you think its going to be. A great show, I hope to be able to see it again!

I want to live on Avenue Q!

by poconell on 2011-02-05The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

That was probably the best time I've had at a live performance in a long while. The unique talent and versatility of the actors/singers/puppeteers is an amazing thing to see! Bold and hilarious dialogue, and just so much fun. What else could you ask for? GO SEE!!!

Avenue Q is Laugh Out Loud Funny!

by runner1 on 2011-02-05The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Avenue Q is the funniest musical that I have ever seen. The unique and imaginative blend of puppets and people helps weave a hilarious tale of life and searching for a purpose in life. If Sesame Street was X-rated, the result would be Avenue Q. Not recommended for the younger set and those that are too politically correct but definitely recommended for adults with a sense of humour.

Avenue Q was a lot of fun!

by 123SuzyQ on 2011-02-05The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Avenue Q started on time! Really entertaining and a little provocative. The fact that a bunch of puppets managed to keep an audience of adults laughing and entertained is indicative of how good it was. Unexpected at times and just a lot of fun!

Avenue Q is a fun night out

by Mick3242 on 2011-02-05The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

This is an amazingly funny play. Sesame street type characters that are all grown up with adult problems. We laughed and laughed the actors are so talented. Go see this show, but leave the kids at home, not for them at all.

Broadway Musical + Puppets = Awesome!!

by Ubcsig on 2011-02-04The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Was an amazing show; humorous, real, engaging, and with bits of truth mixed in. If all Broadway was like this than everyone would go! Highly recommended for all

    Avenue Q is hilarious

by Stephberg on 2011-02-04The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

While travelling shows are never Broadway caliber, Avenue Q is a hilarious musical no matter where it's performed. The set was comprehensive, and the actors were enthusiastic and skilled. I'd seen the show before, but Avenue Q is one of those that's always worth seeing again.

    LOLing

by MarryMeAlan on 2011-02-04The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Been a fan of the musical for a while now, so of course I was going to see it when they came to Vancouver! What I didn't expect was to enjoy it, and my surrounding patrons. People coming who had never seen/heard of AVenue Q before who just couldn't stop laughing, it was very entertaining. Plus All the little things I thought I knew about the play chainging! Props to the Actors of Christmas Eve and Princeton/Rod. They did a great job!

    Avenue Q is Very Funny

by Toughreviewer on 2011-02-04The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Funny and irreverant. Not shy about making jokes about taboo subjects -- racism, internet porn, homosexuality. Very funny without being offensive unless you're hyper sensitive.

    Sound a Problem

by dldcw2 on 2011-02-04The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

We enjoyed it. Enjoyed the humour. Enjoyed the story. We had a problem hearing much of the dialogue. It was loud enough, but garbled at times. (We were sitting in second row, centre, dress circle.) We also found about half way through the second half that we were feeling overload and that it was time to wind this up.

NOT FOR KIDS SO STOP BRINGING THEM

by Djkeng on 2011-02-04The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

This was the second time I've seen this show and love love love it. The music, the humour, the staging, it's smart and clever and very very funny. BUT IT'S NOT FOR KIDS I sat the whole show next to ten-year-old who was not only confused by a lot of the sexual stuff but thoroughly bored because she's from a generation that doesn't even watch Sesame Street anymore and who certainly don't know who Gary Coleman is...

Sucks to be you if you missed out on Avenue Q!

by Burrs on 2011-02-04The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

One of the best shows of all time. I can definitely see why this show beat "Wicked" for best show at the 2004 Tony Awards.
