  • Two Canadian Bands......it was AWESOME!

by BostonJ on 2015-11-24National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

I love the Alan Doyle band, so I went to the concert to see Alan Doyle. The BNL were terrific & the combination of the 2 Canadian bands made for a great evening. Saw them in both London & Ottawa & it was so worth it.

  • ALan Doyle/Barenaked Ladies Too much fun

Both are excellent live and together, even better. I would recommend both anytime.

  • BNL with Alan Doyle

by Ruthie1966 on 2015-11-24National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

BNL is not quite the same without Steve, and Alan Doyle is not quite the same without GBS. However, the show was fun and entertaining! I LOVED it when they all played together! Wished that they had done that for the full three hours!

  • True Canadian

by TJayB on 2015-11-24National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

A great mix of BNL favourites and Alan Doyle east coast music. Enough surprises of Robertson joining Alan Doyle's band for a song as well as the The Beautiful Gypsies joining BNL for some to make this concert a memorable one. Ed, Jim, Tyler, Kevin hats off again to a great performance. Drove in from Montreal, well worth it! Tyler your humour and rock rant at the end was fantastic.

  • An amazing night!

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this concert. Alan Doyle and the BNL were great!

  • Unforgettable evening

by Vekke on 2015-11-24National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Oh boy...Alan Doyle and Barenaked Ladies in the very same evening, at the same venue in downtown Ottawa. National Art Centre has a very good acoustics. Alan Doyle and the Beautiful Gypsies started an unforgettable evening. Well planned playlist. Then Barenaked Ladies continued with their own show. I have been a fan of the BNL for 16 years. I am from Finland and now working in Ottawa for few years. To see my favourite band live was priceless. It was the final evening of the tour and it was like fireworks. Everything was just perfect. Thank you!!!!

  • Bnl and Alan Doyle rocked the house

by Anonymous on 2015-11-24National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was awesome. People on and off stage made the evening totally memorable.

  • Barenaked Ladies - What an Unforgettable Blast !!!

by CatwomanToronto on 2015-11-23Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Having VIP Meet & Greet passes was definitely great, front row centre pretty darn great too - but the concert itself will leave on in my extraordinary memories bank. Only downside was the staff at Massey Hall's venue/ticket booth were quite rude in that the TicketMaster tickets never arrived and they kept acting as if we had done something incorrectly and telling us to come back later.

  • Barenaked Ladies & Alan Doyle Rock Hamilton

    by Katie466 on 2015-11-20Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

To be honest I was a little worried I wasn't going to have a good time. It was a Monday night and it has been a lot of years since I had seen/heard the BNL. But wow!! Talk about not being disappointed AT ALL! These guys did so great, they are fantastic musicians and just awesome people in general. Loved all of the songs (even the new ones!) just had a great fun time.

  • Expectations not met!

    by caprycorn48 on 2015-11-19Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 3 out of 5

I was very excited to be going to view Barenaked Ladies. When I arrived, and heard Alan Doyle and the Beautiful Gypsies would be the opening act, I was open to listen and actually enjoyed them immensely. The transition during the intermission was quite long and rather amateurish. Getting anxious to hear the head liners I was pleasantly surprised by the stage set up and lighting. Unfortunately, the venue did not lend itself to my enjoyment because the people in front of me stood up practically the whole time. I could see nothing. Because of a physical disability standing was not an option. Because of that, I was totally disheartened. A better idea next time might be to schedule them in an arena where a standing area would be set up for people who wish to stand the whole time and therefore would not interfere with the enjoyment of others. Even if the arena is cordoned off to allow a smaller seating area.

  • BARENAKED LADIES/ALAN DOYLE

by swimchick on 2015-11-19Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

WOW, what a concert. I didn't know much about either band but am now a huge fan of both. The energy coming from the stage was unbelievable. All of the musicians on the stage impressed me, with their multi talents on many different instruments. Vocals were fantastic. Would definitely go and see both bands again, and again and again. Hurry back to Hamilton soon please.

  • electric atmosphere at massey

by rachelchelsea on 2015-11-16Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

this was truly one of the best concerts that I've ever been to. bnl and doyle and snider put on a fantastic show.

  • Bare Naked Ladies - Amazing show

    by rowdy22 on 2015-11-16Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The BNL show at Massey hall was simply a lot of fun. Both the warm up band (Alan Doyle) and BNL put on a great show. They mixed in some old with the new and added a few covers to mix things up. The surprise of the evening had to be the cover of "We're not going to take it" led by Twisted Sisters lead singer.

  • by Anonymous on 2015-11-16Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was great! They played some of their old classics and catchy new tunes. The opening act was great as well. Highly recommended.

  • Loved it!

by MoiraG on 2015-11-16Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Alan Doyle was wonderful! I had a smile on my face throughout his performance. LOVED the Celtic influence! Dee Snider was quite the surprise and had the audience roaring with approval! Massey Hall is a beautiful venue. BNL played all the old favourites and some great new ones. It's been a while since I've seen/heard BNL so I was surprised at their shift into hard rock from the rock ballad selections I've grown used to. The musicians are impressively skilled, but I found that the electric instrumentation occasionally interfered with the lighthearted whimsical melodies and lyrics of songs such as "Pinch me". It was a supremely enjoyable concert nonetheless.

  • by Anonymous on 2015-11-16Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent concert. Played a mix of old and new with enthusiasm and warmth. Great energy and Alan Doyle and gypsies were excellent as well. Th

  • Great mix of old favourites and new songs!

by Pipersfancy on 2015-11-09MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

After 27 years together, BNL still has "it"! High energy show, lots of fun, can't wait to see them in concert AGAIN! Alan Doyle was wonderful, and I really enjoyed how he and his Beautiful Gypsies were invited back on to the stage to join BNL on 2 or 3 songs.

  • Both bands were incredible

    by Jneaner16 on 2015-11-09MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Made me very proud to be Canadian and listening to all this great Canadian talent and music that is so unique. No one in the US of A remotely sounds like either act - the Americans are probably jealous I loved the humour and the interaction with the audience. Made it feel like we were at a kitchen party

  • Great sound, great show

by OTGeek on 2015-11-09Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

First, love any concert at the Jube. The sound is great, the amenities are really good and I love that I don't get hosed for parking. Alan Doyle and his band were top notch and had the crowd on their feet and ready to go. BNL did a great mix of old and new. The crowd was singing and they are very personable and their interactions with the crowd and their humour just made it that much better, Also loved that they did a couple of songs with both bands together. Make sure you stay till the end. The encore is worth the price of admission.

  • Fantastic Show

    by Lynn1234 on 2015-11-09MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

The hilarious commentary was as entertaining as the music. Loved it when the Ladies sang with Alan Doyle and Beautiful Gypsies. Would have liked Alan Doyle's set to be longer. Wonderful evening.
