BLACK PISTOL FIRE IN CONCERT:
Hard-hitting blues rock duo Black Pistol Fire has been wowing crowds and steadily building a devoted fanbase since they got started in 2010. The group scorches through their amped-up blues with a punk rock fervor in concert, doling out fuzzy guitar riffs and booming drum fills that get crowds headbanging along with their furious tunes. Guitarist/singer Kevin McKeown delivers passionate solos in between his howled verses, and drummer Eric Owen keeps their fiery jams firing on all cylinders with his energetic, intricate beats. Black Pistol Fire don't hold back during their explosive live shows, and ticket buyers will love every heart-pounding second of their sets as they tear through favorites "Hipster Shakes", "Run Rabbit Run", and "Bad Blood".
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Kevin McKeown and Eric Owen have been friends since their kindergarten days in Toronto. The two began their musical collaboration in high school playing in various bands and covering popular alternative groups like Weezer. After relocating to Austin, TX in 2010, the duo adopted the name Black Pistol Fire and switched their focus to hard rocking blues and R&B. They released a self-titled debut album in 2011 and picked up steam the following year with their sophomore LP Big Beat '59, and in 2013 they blew fans away at SXSW with a performance that led Huffington Post to label the group the "next big thing" in their festival wrap-up. After thrilling fans with the release of their third album Hush and Howl in 2014, they reached an even wider audience by touring with Wolfmother. Black Pistol Fire continue to deliver the same high-energy sound in both their rocking live shows and gripping records – including 2016's Don't Wake the Riot.

A must see. Great music. High octane from start to finish.
This was my first time seeing Black Pistol Fire - my daughter is a fan and we decided to see them live. Absolutely amazing performance! I really enjoyed the concert!
I would 150% go an see Black Pistol Fire again. Rum Runners was the perfect intimate setting for a band like them to perform. Great show, great energy.
It was an amazing concert! They brought a ton of energy and great stage presence. The sets they played where phenomenal.
Great venue, convenient location, and amazing live band! What more could you ask for?
Great concert by these 2 guys. High energy and lots of audience interaction. Man can Kevin play guitar even while surfing.
Watching Black Pistol Fire is like watching a rocket launch. The amount of energy is almost too much to handle. The songs are tight, the drums are teeth rattling and the guitar is mind bending. If you like rock and roll then you will love BPF. Got check them out, listen to their back catalog and buy a t-shirt.
I have been going to concerts and festivals since I was 12 years old. In my 48 years of enjoying live music I can honestly say that a Black Pistol Fire performance is one of the best you will ever see. I have seen some amazing performances across all genres and these guys are definitely at the top of my list of favourites.
Black Pistol Fire was truly amazing. Definitely in the top five concerts I’ve ever been to. Sound was great lighting was great. I could listen to his voice forever. So much musical talent, I’ll be seeing them when they come back again for sure. Their cover of Childish Gambino song was my favorite.
Jezebel Stomp for the encore. Thank you so much for that! The last show I’ve been to was in Winnipeg back in August 2018. That was wild, the Long-Term Care Home next door burned down (metaphorically). The way I would describe Black Pistol Fire is that they’re like a couple of snake charmers, they’ll make ya move. For me, the drummer gets me to clap with power behind it and stomp my feet with the intent to crack the ground. The guitarist gets me to sway when it’s soulful, nod my head when the energy picks up and headbang when he gets rowdy. It can happen to you too! If you’ve got soul, you’re half way there. They really work to get the audience moving. The hustle is like it’s Game 7 of the finals and they’re setting up a posterization for the win. I’m not exaggerating, you can see the sweat of hard work pour onto the stage and the crowd. I am grateful. Something to keep in mind about this duo, when Bully comes up, THE MAN WANTS TO FLY. Black Pistol Fire, thank you for bringing rock music back into my life. I’m looking forward to the next one.
