  • Bodies were Educational

by Openedeyes on 2010-11-23MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

I was very impressed with the exhibits and it was most educational. I left the exhibit knowing far more about the human body. The human bodies were on exhibit in a very professional manner and with the utmost respect. But there were no 200 actual bodies on display as I had interpreted from the advertisements.

  • Very Interesting

Going to see this show knowing that there is some controversy surrounding the event gave me some mixed feelings however, the opportunity to see the inner workings and complexities of the human body was quite the experience. I did however find it difficult at times to get a good look at some of the displays, I am quite short and small and found that it was difficult to get a close up look at the displays as there were so many people viewing at the same time.

  • Not as good as BodyWorlds

by Anonymous on 2010-11-22MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

I saw the BodyWorlds exhibit a few years ago and it was bigger and much better than this one, so even if you go to see Bodies I would still recommend going to BodyWorlds if you have a chance. I bought tickets for Bodies for myself and my niece and then heard about all the controversy about the source of bodies later. If I hadn't already comitted to going I wouldn't have gone based on the likely unethical way the bodies were obtained. My biggest complaint is that at the start, a photographer takes pictures of you in front of a green screen so that you can buy pictures of yourself with superimposed images of some of the bodies. The photographer tells you to do a "silly" pose. This seems very disrespectful give that these are real people's bodies in the exhibit! I was very disappointed that they would do something like this, obviously just as a money-making scheme.

  • Incredible experience.

Everyone should take the opportunity to see the wonders of what are bodies look like inside. I have worked for over 15 years in surgery and have seen a lot of what the internal organs look like and but still I have acquired a much greater respect for my body because of this exhibition It truly is a tribute to the human body , the most extraordinary creation!

The exhibit was good, there was definately room for improvements, some labels were missing and found that there could have been more labeled. Audio was a waste of 5$ the volume did not get loud enough, to hear anything you had to pretty much glue the speaker to your ear and still only made out half the words. The touch zone was also the worse part the brains and heart felt fake there was no point in having this area.

  • Awesome

It was an amazing exhibit. I was not sure what to expect when I purchased the tickets, but once I got in and started viewing everything I could not believe how much I really didnt know about the human body.

Very educational to learn about and see the real thing. I am in nursing and found it fascinating. Good job Winnipeg for bringing the The Bodies here.

  • Bodies exhibit was quite informative

by kylain on 2010-11-15MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

The display was very austere and serene. The staff knowledgeable with questions regarding the medical questions involving the displays. As a knowledge tool it is extraordinary for the average person to view an actual human body in different aspects. I do wish there was more clarification on the consent of use of the cadavers used.

by nurse2 on 2010-11-12MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

It is unbelievable how our bodies look under the skin. The event was well done, explainations were in good detail and there were medical students who were well informed on any questions you had

  • Excellent Exhibition

by Bijo on 2010-11-11MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Bodies exhibition was very well presented. I learned a lot and having medical personnel on the floor to ask questions was a good idea. Definitely a good recommendation. Would encourage anyone to visit if they are having doubts.

  • A once in a lifetime opportunity

by wrae on 2010-11-11MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Unless your in medicine, you would never have the opportunity to see the real thing! The most informational viewing I have ever seen. It gives you a real appreciation of life and what we're made of. Go! you'll be glad you did!

  • Truly Impressive

by ConsequenceFree on 2010-11-11MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

The Bodies Exhibit was more than I expected and everything I'd hoped for! I am so pleased we live in a time when this kind of education is available to the public. My children, 12 and 14 were old enough to appreciate what they were seeing and they will remember this experience for the rest of their lives. We used the audio option and found it to be a valuable tool while attending the exhibit. The written plaques are also very informative. The medical students that are their to help are well informed and had a plethora of information to share with us. The opportunity to touch a heart, brain and scapula were taken advantage of by all. We had family in from England as well that were ecstatic to attend such an exhibit during their stay here. Thank you for providing such an opportunity. I highly recommend it to everyone...

  • Bodies was terrific

by OldDude on 2010-11-10MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Great exhibit. I was concerned the bodies might be gross or at least gross us out, but just the opposite. It was very interesting and educational. Individual exhibits are well documented in language I could easily understand. I don't feel sorry at all that we didn't rent the self audio guide. The folks in White Coats were helpful when I had a question. I would say it's a must see if you have any curiosity about your body at all.

  • Bodies...absolutely, ridiculously, awesome

by pupper on 2010-11-08MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

This was the most interesting exhibit I have ever seen. I am a medical professional and I found it truly amazing. I wish this was around when I was in University, as this would have put everything I was studying into perspective. If one is interested in the human body and its functions please go see Bodies. You will be awe struck!!

  • Bodies - yup, good title

by Anonymous on 2010-11-08MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Wonderful, detailed, anatomy in its finest. We are both medical field persons, and found Bodies to be well worth the fee. Great for someone to see plaque building up in their arteries and a smoker's lung. Confusion with how to get to the next room, signage would have helped.

  • Once in a lifetime experience - don't miss it!

by LBJB on 2010-11-08MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

This was better than I imagined. It was very tasteful, respectful, interesting and educational. My son and I got the opportunity to speak with medical students who were very professional and knowledgeable. We were able to hold a human brain, heart and scapula, something we would NEVER have had the opportunity to experience.
