    Boz Scaggs Was On!

by panthermike on 2017-10-15Grey Eagle Event Centre - Calgary

I am @ big fan of his early 70s R&B style...and I felt he honoured that style throughout the show. He also got into his Blues...aside from playing all the hits from Silk Degrees. Highlight had to be Sierra...very touching.

This was a great show. All the musicians on stage were excellent and Boz's voice has not changed since the 70's.

    Mid-week Boz Scaggs

by JoeCrowe on 2017-10-15Grey Eagle Event Centre - Calgary

Good not great is the only way to sum up the evening. Just going through the motions might be another. I have seen Boz when he's been outstanding but not this time. Playing was competent and the solo bits were skillful but the short set did not inspire.

Boz Scagg's unique voice was as awesome as in the 70's! Loved the old songs and really enjoyed the new... disappointed there were no CD's for sale but so glad we went !

    Bozz Scaggs fan

by Thebfan on 2017-01-31Hard Rock Live - Biloxi

Bozz Scaggs was great! The hard rock in Biloxi Ms. is a terrible concert venue. People arriving steadilly for 30 min after the concert had started . Most seated near the front. They continued to stand and talk on thier cell phones before seating. Very disrespectful to the artist. This is a big flat room with a balcony it is not a concert venue. The only place to watch a concert here is front row balcony. The accoustics are terrible as well. I would never waste my money on a concert here again. Having said this Bozz and his group made the best of this with great songs and a good but rather short. 90 min preformance. Also Robert Cray was on the ticket to appear with him but didnt show with no explaination.

    seating too hot

by 4dave on 2016-08-09Cannery Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas

Bos was good . Seating was not. The seats sloped downward ,unlike other venues where the further back you are, the higher up the seats are.

    The Lowdown on Boz

by aardvark on 2015-07-09Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

I wasn't expecting much, since Boz Scaggs has been doing his thing for 40+ years, but he came to town with a new album and a solid group of musicians. The band has a Music Director, and it shows: they played tight and solid for two hours, plus two encores. Mr. Scaggs has nothing to prove, and he's playing what he enjoys. You get most of the hits (not We're All Alone or Look What You've Done To Me, but he's more into the blues now and those wouldn't fit the set list). Backup singer Monet Owens was channeling Aretha to great effect -- we will probably hear more from her soon.

    BOZ is Still Unbelievable

by DDelucchi on 2015-07-07Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

This guy has still got it! Best new music and best voice EVER! I could have listened for hours more. Would highly recommend seeing him, especially if you grew up with his music and love the blues - Loan Me a Dime! Absolute heaven

    Boz is still the best!

by Billyfan01 on 2015-07-07Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

Getting a ticket to see Boz Saturday night was a last minute decision that I'm glad I made. He and his 6 piece band put on a fabulous show. Singer Ms. Monet was a wonderful part of the evening as well. They performed for about an hour and 15 minutes and then made the usual "The show is over, folks. Thanks for coming" kind of announcement and they all left the stage. We knew they would come back for an encore as the house lights were still off. Sure enough they did come back and played for another 35 minutes, making their total time on stage almost 2 hours. An extended version of ""Loan me a dime" in the encore set was the highlight of the evening. Am glad I saw him and would love to see him again.

    Play the oldies

by AnnaMc on 2015-07-07Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

I know artists get tired of hearing this constantly, but most of your fans want to hear your old stuff. The songs that made you famous. It was a very nice performance but you only played two songs from your Silk Degrees album. Not even Harbour Lights. Disappointing. :(

Boz Scaggs put on a great show. His voice has held up well and the band was terrific. They were professional throughout and played an excellent mix of new and legacy songs. "Loan me a Dime" topped it off for me.

    Boz Scaggs didn't disappoint!!!!

by Cyclegurl on 2015-07-07Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

It was amazing...he walked out with no intro and just started to play. He played all his old stuff that I grew up with plus some new for a solid 2 hours. It was perfect...

    Boz was amazing!!

by MissRiddle on 2015-07-07Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

For almost two hours the audience was treated to a delightful mix of then and now. Songs from early in his career had many up and dancing and the jazz/blue offerings from recent albums showcased Boz's versatile, strong voice and incredible guitar skills. Two encores, one of which was "Loan Me a Dime", were fabulous.

    Boz Scaggs at his best!!

by Boubousky on 2015-07-07Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

The show was excellent as usual. I go see Boz Scaggs every time he is in town as he is one of my favorite artist. The whole band was fantastic, and the back vocal female singer was at her best! The mix of new songs and the good old hits made the concert a very memorable evening.

    We danced in our seats

by JakeFromVan on 2015-07-07Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

First saw Boz Scaggs in 1978 and I remember vividly, we danced in our seats back then. Well 37 years later nothing changed in that department and it was an aerobic workout in our seats again. Only this time he was better. Voice was in fine form, his guitar playing was outstanding and the band was tight and absolutely in the pocket. Outstanding show!

    So Disappointed

by onewing on 2014-10-14River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Was very disappointed in his song choices. Didn't open big and didn't close big. Never got the audience on their feet like he could have. Not sure why entertainers of a certain age think people our age come to hear new stuff. We want to hear the old amazing stuff, the songs that take us back to a day gone by, to spend an evening remembering how great the music was, to listen to the songs that made them huge stars. I went to hear Look What You've Done to Me; Harbour Lights; We're All Alone etc. I know he can't sing everything and It was still nice to hear his husky voice but the evening remained very low key.

    Great Show

by Pavel22 on 2014-10-14River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

This was my second time to see Boz in a casino show and both were great shows. Boz still has his voice and his band were exceptional. my only complaint is that being a casino show it is only a 90 minute show so they can get you into the casino to gamble. An extra half hour or so would have made it a 5 star show.

    Great

by Anon on 2014-10-14River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Boz Scaggs played old and new with a very talented backup band. New music very enjoyable which is often not the case. Always amazed by the back up band members who can play multiple instruments - keyboards, sax and guitars - lots of talent. Show lasted about 90 minutes, on the shorter side for concerts these days, but all in al very enjoyable music to listen to.
