Loved the show. Wish the crowd was more energetic although. Sass Jordan was a great surprise. Would love to see the show again.
A fantastic concert. Casino Rama is a great venue and the sound was perfect. The band, despite the Ottawa fiasco, was tight. Nice cameo by Sass Jordan.
The boys let loose, they jammed with sass jordan and daxx was awesome on the drums. played a few songs i never heard them play in canada. they focussed more on the drums...
Cheap Trick rocked as usual, great concert, great company! Was a nice surprise to see Sass Jordan would of loved to hear one of her tunes!!!! Hope they all come back to Casino Rama, cause its a great place to see concerts.
What a great night! They are all great and Robyn was totally ON. Great fun when Sass came out. Fabulous energy and so much fun!!
Excellent show .....they played all their hits.....They were funny,,,,very entertaining
i have been a huge fan of ian Anderson and his music for 40 years and seen them play live 7-8 times and am really sorry to report that yesterdays' show was terribly disappointing. Ian's singing has been strained for years, but now is barely recognizable. Martins guitar and Doane's drumming are as impecable as ever, but the other fella's, not so. I hate to admit it to myself, but I think I've seen my last show by Jethro Tull
Both concerts were great, but Jethro Tull just knocked it out of the park! Ian Anderson and company were just phenomenal and really put on an amazing show. This package was totally worth every penny. The Caesars venue is clean, spacious, and very comfortable to watch a show at. Overall, just had an amazing and unforgettable time!
had to buy the set of tickets to get the presale price and to get the best seats possible, cause it was impossible to find the code for jethro tull......that said , i sold the cheap trick tickets on kijiji for i had to work that night and saw cheap trick many times in the past.....6 months later after buying these tickets in december....we get to see Jethro Tull......as usual the windsor crowd was lame until the end when they got to hear Aqualung and Locomotive Breath........all and all Jethro Tull was magnificent.....Ian Anderson is by far the greatest flute player and acoustic guitar was perfect.....everyone in the band are masters of their instrument....the sound was superb....the show was awesome.....the only flaw was that Ian is older now and can't sing as great as he did as a younger man.....but his showmanship made up for it.....they played so well that i recommend them to anyone and if they come back i will see them again and again......
great show,, excellant selection of musyc, thoroughly enjoyed the show...they have not lost any of their stage presence....I'd go again and again
I thought it was a good show but I wish they could of gone for about an another half-hour, there were some songs they didn't do, that I would to have liked to have heard. Rick is great, he still has it!!! One question, where was Bun E Carlos??? I never heard anything about him not being there to play, did I miss something!!!!
It was great from beginning to end. They rocked the house!!!!!
While Rick and Robin worked hard to bring the crowd around, the sound quality at The Venue was abysmal. Having enjoyed the later music put out by the band, unless you are a diehard fan, recognizing anything (including tune/tone/lyrics) was extremely difficult and seemed to bring the crowd down.
Cheap Trick played at River Cree Casino in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on March 26th 2010 and I am happy to report they are completly awesome! I would strongly recommend them to anyone but would advise if all you came to hear is oldies then you will be disappointed. This is a working band still recording great music so you will hear new songs, i was very impressed and did buy the new cd called The Latest and it is great! By the way, this is still the same band from back in the day although Bun E Carlos absent for some reason. These guys are worth seeing and I would again! The band were note perfect looked like they had a blast!
Have never seen them live, have albums, and CDs...........Live at Budokan is as close as I can compare.........these guys still rock. Gonna get listening to them more again......Highly recommend them.
For me it was a trip back in time to the days of my youth. To see these guys 30 sum years later was great, THANK YOU CHEAP TRICK awsome show Rick Neisen was great to watch when are they coming back?????????
Thank god for the encore or there would not have much of a show!!!
I am a fan of Cheap Trick, and went to see them for the first time, last night ,at the River Cree Casino. The band was tight, but the sound was awful . I've been to a few shows in that venue before and that was never an issue. Sitting in the middle about thirty rows back should have sounded good but it was bad. You could barely here Rick Nielson's guitar through the barrage of poorly mixed sound. Band and performance good, sound brutal.
I went to this concert for two reasons. 1. To say that I had seen Cheap Trick. 2. To here my favourite Cheap Trick songs. Very slow start to the evening, 45 minutes into the show and they had only played 1 song that I recognized. Band had lots of energy but they must decide on playing what fans want to here instead of playing what they want to here. At 1/2 time we were pleasantly tricked as they came on strong with all their hits that lasted for approx 5 songs. They had more but did not play them all. Bought 4 tickets, 1 T-Shirt, 2 Beer and still did not get lucky at the end of the night, I suspect many others did not either.
Still able to wow a crowd. Played a good mix of standard classics and new songs. I wish the sound was mixed a little better, vocals were a little hard to hear at times. Robin is still able to hit some of the important high notes; he is older now (as am I) so can't expect him to be able to hit all of the notes as well as he used to but he did pretty well. To bad Bun E was not there. Substitute drummer did a very good job.
