  • Not even close to being 1 of my favorite concerts

by ffudoj on 2018-09-22Avenir Centre (formerly known as Moncton Events Centre) - MonctonRating: 2 out of 5

Had no idea Chicago was going to be playing 1 of their old double albums from cover to cover! It was like I was in an elevator and I hate instrumental music! I'm a fan of their 80's songs that they only sang near the end. I was ready to leave after 20 minutes of instrumentals!

Chicago's concert was just " Pure Perfection " !! Ten men on stage that take great pride in their performance !!

  • Chicago was amazing!!

The concert was amazing and the venue was great. Only issue was the length of time to go through the bag check but better safe than sorry.

  • Chicago was fantastic

Concert started on time and with non stop music. The band interacted with the audience even to a point that they turned the lights on so they could see there audience. Applauses, cheering and whistling all though the night to show our appreciation of their music.

  • Chicago were excellent...again !!

Chicago recovered after a slow first hour playing Chicago 2 album in its entirety. So many epic songs and love the horns !! Overall...awesome.

  • Too many old songs

by Jen1974 on 2018-09-19Avenir Centre (formerly known as Moncton Events Centre) - MonctonRating: 2 out of 5

They played songs from the 60’s for over an hour, then played one from the 80s and the audience went wild. They went for an intermission, came back and played more 60s and 70s songs, then a few 80s and 90s tunes. I knew 6 of the songs they played in total. This was the first concert I’ve been at where the audience didn’t beg for an encore.

I love Chicago and was so very excited to see them in Moncton, however, the first set of the show was a little disappointing. They played music from the 60's that I was not familiar with and by the crowd's reaction, not many were familiar. That being said, the second set picked up with later releases and it was what I had hoped for.

  • Excellent Show

Chicago was amazing. The show was one of the best ever. Very professional and the music spot on. Beyond my expectation!!!

  • DISAPPOINTING

by MyHumbleOpinion on 2018-09-18Avenir Centre (formerly known as Moncton Events Centre) - MonctonRating: 2 out of 5

Very disappointed. There was no opening act. The first set was totally unrecognized songs. Great talent in this group but could not make out the words at all during this first set, it was simply a jumble of noise. Loved the popular songs during the second set but it was too short and definitely not worth the dollars spent for the ticket, hotel and other related travel expenses.

With the addition of Neil Donell (four octive range) this band, with those awesome horns is phenominal! The acoustics in this new venue are well match to their sound as well.

  • Chicago was very disapointing

by nouveaubrunswick on 2018-09-18Avenir Centre (formerly known as Moncton Events Centre) - MonctonRating: 1 out of 5

The first half hour all they played was instruments. Then they played songs we did not know. They had a 20 minutes brake, during that time I was speeking to the lady in front of us and she proceeded to say that she would go home but her huaband did not want to leave. She said her sister and husband drove from Fredericton to come see them and that they left at the intermission. The following day my friend texted me to see what I taught of the concert, told her I regretted my money. She replied that at her work place some had gone and also complained that it was not what they expected.

  • Chicago was disappointing.

The acoustics were terrible!Sounded like the singers were screaming into the mic and the lyrics were not distinguished.Had been looking forward to the concert since May when I purchased 2 tickets. The only good part of the concert was the performance of the two drummers.Others in our seating area complained as well ...Was very disappointed with what I had paid for the tickets and a poor performance.

Saw Chicago at the NB Casino a few years ago. The 1st half was God Awful!!!Mudic from an album that never sold in the 70’s, I wanted to leave but was really hopeful the would play some hits! I stayed and they redeemed themselves somewhat with recognizable tunes, however, not much more than Kareoke so disappointed!

  • Memorable!

  • Very disappointed

by Soapsuds on 2018-09-18Avenir Centre (formerly known as Moncton Events Centre) - MonctonRating: 1 out of 5

I loved this band. The first half I hardly recognized a thing. The whole audience was trying to enjoy it nodding their heads to the music. The second half picked up but we left after 3 songs. My girlfriend stayed and said it got good at the end. Second time I ever walked out of a concert and I go to 5-10 a year. Very dissatisfying
