What an awesome show by this group. 2 hours of almost non-stop music!
I was a huge fan of Chicago when they first came out and I still am. The concert was great. I would certainly go and see them again. They put on a tremendous show!!
CONCESSION PRICES VERY EXPENSIVE. SHOW WAS NOT VERY GOOD.
Overall the concert was good. A little disappointed only two original members. Where was Walt Parazaider and Jimmy Pankow. Nov. 2016 had 4 of original 7
The first half of the show was mostly instumental, although we did enjoy it we did not recognize any popular song by Chicago. The songs we recognized were played very well.
The acoustics were awful - could not make out any of the words when they decided to sing - went home just after the intermission
Chicago played a great concert. Was not all that familiar with the first set songs. BUT the second set was worth the price of admission alone.
Fantastic evening, Chicago still has it, loved every minute!
I walked out at the first intermission: Three reasons: I was unfamiliar with their music before 1975 and second all the violent video of the various marches in the US was not appealing - did not want to relive that history. Like many of those older bands they turn up the music because their voices (though better than mind) are not what they used to be. You have to give the various musicians on the various horns credit because they must be fairly old but can still play them.
Great sound played all their old hits. Band was really into their set
Great performance. As good as they ever were. Played all the great hits. Performed for nearly two hours, give it all for their fans,
Older, just like the rest of us, but still so great. First half of the show was mainly older stuff from Chicago2 album and second half was more 80s. Really fun and GREAT people watching. Everyone having fun!
Just great music! Enjoyed the second half the most. nobody in front of us. Yes we were at the back - but last concert at the Jubilee we were 13 rows from the front - expensive - and people stood throughout the whole concert - Earth, Wind and Fire - and nobody told them to sit down - so very uncomfortable as I paid good money for a seat I never got to use. Hence this time - it was all about just hearing the concert - and watching from afar (note - everybody sat in their seats for Chicago - go figure!)
Chicago was amazing . I loved the horns. I had a perfect view of the stage . The sound was great.
Great concert. Incredible sound. Played a lot of old stuff after the intermission.
Chicago's songs have stood the test of time. The band consists of many talented vocalists and the members who play various instruments are amazing. Peter Cetera may no longer be part of this group but Neil Donnell did an AMAZING job. I was a fantastic experience and I enjoyed the show immensely.
After bearing through the terrible sounding Alice Cooper show a few weeks ago, it was wonderful to hear Chicago perform. Songs were played and properly mixed so that we could actually hear both the vocals and harmonies. The first half was reproducing their Chicago II album, so you get the good and lesser known tunes. In the second half, Chicago performed more of their hits and well ... of course I loved their authentic live reproduction of these songs. The addition (spotlight) on the saxophone added a very pleasant and sexy spiciness to several of their songs. It's always great to see these older groups come out to perform live and Chicago did not disappoint.
Chicago played excekent! Sound was great and they played almost all their greatest hits. Venue was very good
The concert was great, they played songs from their second album for the first set and all the favourites in the second set. They played for over two hours with just a short 20 minute break. The drum/percussion solos were fantastic as were the other solos. The new vocalist was very good and didn't have any problem hitting those high notes. I loved the old photos in the background, they brought back wonderful memories.
This is my third time seeing Chicago and they always put on a great performance. Their second set was especially good. The horns are excellent and the new main singer is also better than the last one they had, His voice sounds better with the Chicago brand. The sound in the Calgary Jubilee Audtorium was also excellent. Will definitely see them again!
