Great concert Talented artists and what voices Great venue Can’t wait for the next concert
Amazing collective of local and international artists who have incredible talent, the practice and dedication to learn to play what they do is always a treat! Rock music and music in general should always be played in a full length album! We should allow ourselves to be immersed into the talent of the creator without any additional visuals needed! The best part about being in Toronto is being able to see this music played back in a auditorium as Massey Hall or Roy Thompson Hall where the sound stage is by far one of the best for North America! If you can catch them when on the road, even better!
These musicians are so very talented, recreating the music you enjoyed on vinyl for so many years.
Classic Albums Live Led Zeppelin II... As expected, the show was spectacular. The lead singer captured the voice of Robert Plant well, with a little bit of David Lee Roth sprinkled into his performance. Good selection of songs after the intermission. Sound mixing was a little off though. One thing about the venue (The Arena)... There were good views of the stage from every seat and angle, but he acoustics were not the greatest. Good, passable, but not concert hall quality, which for a Classic Albums Live event is very important. That being said, Led Zeppelin is so loud that it hardly mattered at all.
Felt like I was watching zepplin themselves. Amazing talent and great show. Please Bring back again and again.
The songs were note for note like the original. Fun show. Great lead singer and great drummer.
The Classic Albums Band was strong, though not quite as "accurate"as some of the others I have seen. (Hotel California, Dark Side, etc) Perhaps those were just better albums, The venue was a bit of a disappointment. I took a very long time to enter the "hall"due to only 3 security stations. The hall itself was vast and completely lacked any sense of atmosphere or character. I will definitely attend Classic Albums Live shows again, but it would have to be something I really wanted to see to return the Pickering Casino Venue
CAL is a great experience! The band was fantastic, the music was so close to the original album and the second set was amazing. I never was able to see Led Zeppelin, have seen Plant and Page. This was a great experience and I highly recommend them to anyone who was a fan of Zeppelin. The Arena at the Pickering Casino has great sound. Floor seating is not bad, it is a multi purpose room so if you are expecting a theater setting you will be disappointed.
Nick can sing! Dom can play! Drums where awesome!
Awesome performance and great sound ! Really authentic band ! Would love to see more shows like that
Sound was absolutely awful, don't know if was the room itself or the sound guy didn't know his stuff. Have heard this band twice before at the Richmond Hill Performing Arts Centre and everything was absolutely awesome. There was far too much base, constant bussing or hissing throughout their performance, terrible. Led Zeps my favourite band and I'd couldn't wait till they were finished due to the sound issues!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the recent Led Zeppelin II concert by Classic Albums Live at the Pickering Casino and Resort. The talent of these musicians is second to none and their ability to recreate the original group's music note for note with fantastic sound, gave us a life experience we will never forget! We highly recommend all Zep Heads as well as others to see them once, and I guarantee you will walk away fans for life!
A captivating performance by all. The sound was great and the band was right on point. The singer was outstanding, he had the moves of Plant and sounded amazing! Note for note is right! They didn't miss a thing. I felt like I was watching Led Zeppelin. We completely enjoyed every minute and highly recommend this show!
I had never been to a Classic Albums Live show ... ever. I had high expectations, considering all the things I've heard over the years. I know I wasn't going to see THEE Led Zeppelin, but I thought I'd get pretty darn close to the sound of them. And I did. The musicianship was solid! The energy was there. I Did get lost, as times, looking at the singer, and thinking of Sebastian Bach or Axel Rose, but the Sound was what mattered. The gal beside me said "just close your eyes".. and that did the trick. I enjoyed the night out, the live music and the band. The venue could lighten up on some house rules, but I had a good time! Thanks CAL
Classic albums never disappoints, but this venue is particularly conducive for the sound of a Zeppelin experience. The energy and talent is really showcased. We loved every minute of it
We had an absolute blast, went as a family. We consider ourselves huge fans of Fleetwood Mac and this show did not disappoint. Vocals were great, musicians/ band fantastic. A few things that could help improve the show perhaps, there are bright white flood lights that are blinding to the audience, we heard others comment on this as well after the show, lighting otherwise was good. Also dobro guitar was catching the light and reflecting back into the audience making it difficult to see the performance. Lastly Guitar solos were perhaps too long maybe reduce to one. Highly recommend this show, you won’t be sorry. We’ll be back.
Loved the evening! The voices were amazing, the sound, ambiance of the NAC cannot be beat. The only thing missing was that they didn't interact with the audience!
A great venue and a great show especially guitarist Clifton Broadridge
Fleetwood Mac Classic Albums Live was a super great show. The band players were really good and I loved the lead guitar solos! The lady from NS (first time in Ottawa!) sang just like Stevie Nicks! I hope they come back to Ottawa because I would like to see them again!
Amazing cover band! Great venue. They played the entire Album from start to finish, then broke for intermission and came back for a second set of classics. My only critique would. be the “encore song” could have been a bigger hit, like “Gypsy”, or a more week known song to close out evening. Also, guitar solo was amazing, but first time was best, then became a bit repetitive, even though he was extremely talented.
