Had an unforgettable blast from the past while watching and listening to Classic Albums Live: Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti. One of THE BEST albums ever made! The band rocked out and so did the crowd! It was definitely a great performance tributing the ultimate best band ever!
We've seen this band on several different ocassions, covering many different artists. They're always amazing. The Beatles: Let It Be; if you close your eyes and just listen, you would believe it was actually the Beatles. Their motto is "word for word, note for note" and they're true to it. I would highly recommend going to see any concert this band is giving.
There was four of us - all great fans of The Who. We had argued, "how can they do Keith Moon's drums; how can they do Pete Townsend's guitars; Entwistle is arguably the best bass player and how could they get close to Roger Daltry's vocals??" Well we were blown away is the bottom line. One of the most enjoyable classic rock concerts we've attended. Of course they needed two guitar players to do Pete's part but they band and their very solid back up horns and strings were just amazing. They have me questioning whether to bother seeing The Who next year when they tour. The only complaint is they had to stop. Thanks for a great evening, go see these guys (and ladies) - it's Rock at its finest.
excellent show. the band was incredible. I would definitely see these guys again.
Whist I haven't heard music of "The Who" for some time, except for period leading up to the concert on Q107. The entire group performed flawlesly note per note as advertised. Domenic polito was amazing, so were the other two guitarists, basist was cool. I was pleasantly surprised with the percusion, the drummer was amazing, I met him afterwards and told him so. Felt the keyboard drowned other instruments out, especially I couldn't hear the violin, and I was trying very hard to pick her out. Great performance.
Classic albums live was truly classic. The show exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this to everyone.
My husband having been to two Led Zeppelin concerts in his younger years, loved the concert thought with eyes closed he was back to the past. We enjoyed every minute of the concert, the talent was amazing and always like Massey Hall as a venue.
Extremely enjoyed this event. They were incredible, didn't miss a song........engaged the crowd, vocals and guitar solos along with excellent drummer were unbelievable. Don't miss this show
Excellent show. Very professional performers. High energy. We liked the group so much we bought tickets to see them in Oshawa April 25th
Enjoyed the Classic Albums band treatment of the Eagles immensely!! they are top-notch musicians and the lead singer (from Pickering...name??) was outstanding! They had the audience in the palm of their hands. Really fun ! Shows you that good music never dies! A+++
Awesome! I loved it. Note for note. Cut for cut. Excellent job. Rob Phillips seemed to run the show signalling when songs began etc. and kept everyone lovin it! Would go and see more of these shows. Musicians are sooooooo talented.
The Eagles were known to be control freaks when it came to recording their albums and to reproduce this album live is an accomplishment. I am constantly impressed by the quality and skill level of the musicians who come together to play these songs. Congratulations again to Craig Martin, his musicians and crew!
Amazing! It was played note for note! also I loved how they actually incorporated all the instruments and various musicians as opposed to just having four people up there just pretending to be the fab four. The singing was amazing!!!!!! Will definitely go again!!!!!
This is my second CAL show, and Abbey Road was as enjoyable as the last one (Rubber Soul / Revolver) The musicians were first rate, and the performances spot-on. They nailed the harmonies, and I loved the "big band" feel of having a horn and string section, and the authenticity of the Sitar player for Norwegian Woods If you're a fan of the Beatles, go catch CAL the next time the perform, you'll be glad you did
I am a beatles fan from way back. Black and White tv way back. My son and I went to see these guys a year and a half ago. This band was tight, extremely well played and experienced. The first half of the show consisted of the entire Abbbey road album. After the break they played an assortment of beatles tunes. All I can say is I thoroughly enjoyed the show and plan on going again.
I continue to be impressed by the dedication and attention to detail that goes into these concerts. What I can't get over is how many people still don't understand the concept. This isn't a bunch of people pretending they are the band. This is a group of professional musicians who strive to capture the exact sound of the album. Would love to see them bring The Who - Who's Next to town sooner than later.
Since Supertramp was my first concert when I was a teenager it was appropriate that Classic Album Live Supertramp show would also be my first but not my last.
It was a rather rude awakening to the four of us who had no knowledge of what "Classic Albums Live" actually meant to arrive at the Chandler Center for the Arts and find out that we were not going to see Fleetwood Mac but rather a group of musicians and vocalists playing their music. We had purchased our tickets to coincide with our trip to the Phoenix area from Canada. The key word "performs" was not in the original listing when we ordered the tickets. Having said that, the quality of the music and the singing was very good. However, the artists did not engage with the audience at all during the playing of the album. It was one song after another. If there had been engagement with the audience, some information about the songs, some interesting facts about the amazing group that had written and played them, we may have enjoyed it. However, it was a major let-down. The venue is wonderful, the people volunteering as ushers, etc. were fabulous, and the gallery had amazing pieces of art in it that were well worth going to see.
My niece was in the band, so went as a family courtesy, but we were blown away, just loved it ,
