The stage, lights, DJs and the The stage lights, DJs and the whole organization was amazing.
Perfect, great energy, great people, friendly caring staff. Cant wait for the next event
Really enjoyed the festival! Overall production was really good. Great vibes!! People were doing Mosh pits during Chainsmokers set.
It was my first time at CONTACT… absolutely unreal. Music, lights, vibe are all immaculate. Artists were fantastic, Will my favourites being Subtronics, Wax Motif, Matroda and surprisingly The Chainsmokers. The lights/laser show was very well done. Some areas of improvement/ideas for the future would be: -Give the 19+ wristband at the front -More places to take photos -Allow attendees to bring in gum/lollipops -Sell gum/lollipops -Better heating -More doors open at the end -Shuttles to afterparties -More heavier/dubstep artists To piggyback on the last point (and just some other possibilities), here are some artists to consider: Excision Sullivan King Rezz Seven Lions Kai Wachi Meduza Zeds Dead Dion Timmer Grabbitz BTSM Wooli ARMNHMR Snakehips ODESZA Big Wild Thank you for another amazing CONTACT!
It was AMAZING and super Fun. Next time I would like expect even better DJs
If you love EDM then look no further than Contact Winter Music Festival! Huge stage great lineups and the energy of the crowd makes it all come together! One of the best festivals in Canada!
Great artists, amazing light shows and videos, amenities (lockers, washrooms, water stations) were easily accessible, including multiple drink stations. Will definitely go again next year!
Freezing out there! Everyone was wearing their winter jacket, I did coat check but after 10 min , I got my jacket back. the indoor event shouldn’t cold like outside, not a good experience.
I was very satisfied with CONTACT , I loved every minute of when I was there!!!! I don’t have any complaints. I enjoyed myself & so did my friends❤️❤️❤️
Had so much fun attending the second day of Contact! Saw Sudden Death, Loud Luxury and Chainsmokers. The temperature was a bit cold in the venue but the music was hot!
I appreciated having more food options this year (vegan, etc). The security was quick and easy which was nice to save time getting in. Once inside there was so much security everywhere it ruined the vibe because they feel like police. There needs to be a proper smoking area where people can step outside for cigarettes, joints and vapes. Will save people from having to breathe it in when it’s unwanted and most importantly the very many smokers will be pleased and not having to break rules. The stage should be back to the long side of the stadium, this felt too small.
Music, wasn't that loud. Music sucked. Venue was not packed. Was not as good as last contact I went to, day 2 in 2019.
This was such a dope music festival, very well put together! The lineups were fantastic with a range of Dj’ing styles and of course the Hardstyle Dubstep 👌🏼! Was there mainly for SvddenDeath which was epic, especially moshpitting. I’m excited for next contact!
The laser lights, the music, and the people were all amazing! Can’t wait to come back next year!
I love contact and always have, everyone’s always great but some improvement could definitely be pointed towards the bar staff, it’s not fair for us to spend thousands getting to Vancouver for a weekend festival only to be served liquor by SLOW MOVING miserable 70 year old women with bad attitudes. We are all in a HURRY when we are on the floor. We have people to find, things to do, shows to see and we expect to be able to go to the bathroom, get a snack, and grab a drink in time for the next set. The older bartenders usually don’t enjoy the music, they hate looking at us. They act like it’s the first sip of alcohol that you’ve ever had in your life. They treat us as if we are children in line for ice cream. There is no understanding, nor will they hurry if you ask. I should ALWAYS be allowed to buy a Double drink or 2 singles when at a bar. And I should honestly be allowed to take an extra if I have to walk AROUND BC PLACE 50 TIMES. The Medical staff were less caring this year. I was told to “go away” upon asking for ear protection. The pandemic did obviously have an impact on funding this year but humanity and kindness is free. “was hoping for more lights, booths, cool safe spaces for people to mellow out and relax if the stage is too much” but there was a lot of things ignored this year that were present years prior. i had to personally help about 10 sick people, I had to do breathing exercises with 3 of them and the rest literally just needed a hug and something soft to hold onto. “ thus why you NEED TO BRING BACK THE CHILL OUT ZONES. I did suffer from hearing damage at this most recent contact event due to the irresponsibility of either an artist themselves or the technical team. Things got WAY too loud by the end almost to the point of people worrying. Last thing PLEASE TELL US AHEAD OF TIME THAT THE STADIUM WILL NOT BE HEATED” saying “please dress appropriately for winter weather” online is a very opaque statement. I dressed for the cold but I was still freezing inside. I should not be in a mosh pit and still need my winter jacket. Other than that please keep up the good work. We want the 2018 stage back “I know it’s expensive” but you will be able to drastically increase profitability if you foreshadow a better stage in advance. It’s a better viewing/sound experience meaning many more people will buy tickets. In 2019 the 2018 stage was expected but when it didn’t show the disappointment was massive, I do personally think that it is still affecting the views of previous ticket buyers. a bouncy castle/slide would slap. And the neon girls did amazing this year once again
LOVE CONTACT. Always something to look forward to every year. Excited again for next year!
It was too cold, wayyy too cold. Dunno if the heater broke or sum but it was wayy too cold shivering as hell.
At first I thought day 1 was better but I was wrong hahah. Subtronics & James hype totally killed it!! Hate to say this but when Above & beyond showed up… it was shit :( not a big fan of meditation music :(( I felt like if all dubstep or wtv the same genre was put in day 1, it would've been much better.. Annd day 2 was amazingggg
Despite the amazing sound system with great artists, the venue was extremely cold making the experience less enjoyable. Being fully dressed with a jean jacket, sweater and pants, it still felt as if we were outside in the December weather.
Amazing light show and sound system. Great to see big djs. BC place is the best place for Contact and if it ever gets moved to pne, well thats when me and my family will stop going.
