About

After more than 15 years, Culture Club are returning to Australia in June with Perth being their official first performance of their world tour. These shows will see the original line-up on stage:  singer Boy George, guitarist / keyboardist Roy Hay, bassist Mikey Craig and drummer Jon Moss.

Adulation around the world and soaring record sales saw Culture Club become one of the biggest bands on the planet back in the 1980’s.  Over the course of their career, they have 50 million record sales to their name.  The band went on to achieve stunning success with their debut album Kissing To Be Clever and in particular, scoring three Top Ten hits in the US and becoming the first group to hit that milestone since The Beatles.  ‘’Time (Clock of the Heart)” has also been included on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of 500 songs that shaped rock and roll.  In 1984, Culture Club won the Brit Award for Best British Group and Best British single for ‘’Karma  Chameleon’’ and also won a the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.  Quite simply, Culture Club are considered one of the most successful bands of their generation.

Tremendous concert. The three bands were phenomenal. Well worth the money. Boy George was stellar.

  • Awesome acts, wonderful crowd

by Ironstone on 2023-08-04Rating: 5 out of 5

3 very different acts but a combination that warmed the crowd up fast and created an amazing atmosphere. Berlin, Howard Jones, and Boy George and Culture Club all brought great energy and didn’t shy away from playing the crowd favourites. They also surprised with some wonderful new songs. Biggest surprise were the excellent covers each did. Unexpected and very welcome. So. Much. Fun! 3 concerts in one!

Amazing!! Nostalgic! My favorite group since a teen! ❤️❤️ Although I’ve never had the honour to meet boy George in person, but his positive vibe and energy is felt from the stage through his singing and his appearance! Luv ya BG!! ❤️ Also Howard jones was also a good opener enjoyed him as well!! Good performances! EXCELLENT!!

  • Well worth seeing.

Boy George still sounds amazing. He looked like he was really having fun and enjoying himself so it made the audience happy too. Sang all his big hits and the 80s music is still wonderful o hear! Loved it!

  • 80s Slam Dunk

    by 8easekid on 2023-08-04Rating: 5 out of 5

For those growing up in the 80s this was a real bonus. To have Berlin, Howard Jones and Culture Club on the same stage, on the same night was truly wonderful. Each of the artists did an amazing job on their set. They put their heart into the show and really made it a fun evening for the fans. With all 3 of them being in their 60s now, it still felt like they were in the prime of their youth. All in all an eventful fun evening. Much love to all 3 of them from Toronto.

by Tracy on 2023-08-04Rating: 4 out of 5

Boy George and Culture Club were great! Played all the classics and then some. Really enjoyed them. Howard Jones was also great. Lots of energy and sounded awesome. Berlin was ok. Missed hearing a few classics.

  • Fantastic. Just outstanding

by SirWalter on 2023-08-04Rating: 5 out of 5

My first Culture Club show and it was outstanding. Boy George was on stage for over an hour singing, laughing and joking with the audience. My only issue was I wanted to hear Victims and The War Song. Other than that will see them again.

  • We enjoyed the whole concert

by Paul on 2023-08-04Rating: 5 out of 5

Culture Club were great. Boy George was great. His voice is still strong. And I loved his toothy smile, even before he mentioned it. Howard Jones was great. Good choice pairing these acts. We missed the opening act. A thoroughly wonderful evening.

  • Culture Club, Berlin & Howard Jones

    by Cindy F. on 2023-08-04Rating: 5 out of 5

PHENOMINAL show!!! WOW! All 3 groups were timeless. Sounded exactly as they did waaay back when. Stellar performances. Sound was A+. Personable. Loved their audience as much as we loved them, and spoke often to us during the shows. Mixed in music/lyrics at times from other phenomenal 80s bands as well....Berlin did a Cult cover! Howard Jones mixed one of his songs into a House/rave mix at the end! Boy George mixed in a WHAM tune to one of his!! Truly amazing performances. Boy George is so personable. Talking often, laughing with the audience. 5+ stars!!

  • So much fun!

Fabulous show, only wish Howard Jones'set was longer.

  • HoJo and Boy George never disappoint!!!

by Shaxland on 2023-08-04Rating: 5 out of 5

Boy George is always hilarious and HoJo is always finding ways for audience participation a la Queen. Missed Berlin but heard they were great!

  • Brilliant

by Shannon on 2023-08-04Rating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Sound was brilliant, musicians and singers were all fantastic. Boy George's stage presence was unparalleled. He was funny, intelligent and his voice is great. Lovely concert. Berlin also was stunning and Howard Jones great, too. Amazing performers. Great night.

  • George not classic enough.

by TBONE on 2023-08-04Rating: 4 out of 5

Too many liberties with reworked classics that didn’t quite hit the mark. George’s presents was second to his band. He needs to be more of a front man. His vocals need more focus. Overall a good show but not the best I’ve seen this year. Milk the brand George.

  • When the whole crowd sits...

by Jen on 2023-08-04Rating: 2 out of 5

Howard Jones was amazing and such a surprise. Culture Club was very boring. So boring most of the crowd was sitting, even after Boy George asked everyone to stand up. Not sure why artists sing slow song after slow song at a summer event when the mood is high and happy. Also pls stop leaving all your great hits until the end. It signals you don't appreciate your fans and are trying to hold them hostage while you ramble on about stuff and play songs we have zero interest in.

  • SO GOOD !!!

by DoraD on 2023-08-04Rating: 5 out of 5

Boy George ALWAYS puts on a great show! I would watch him again and again. I was up dancing from start to finish. You can't help yourself, you leave smiling and humming. It's always 'feel good'!
