About

After more than 15 years, Culture Club are returning to Australia in June with Perth being their official first performance of their world tour. These shows will see the original line-up on stage:  singer Boy George, guitarist / keyboardist Roy Hay, bassist Mikey Craig and drummer Jon Moss.

Adulation around the world and soaring record sales saw Culture Club become one of the biggest bands on the planet back in the 1980’s.  Over the course of their career, they have 50 million record sales to their name.  The band went on to achieve stunning success with their debut album Kissing To Be Clever and in particular, scoring three Top Ten hits in the US and becoming the first group to hit that milestone since The Beatles.  ‘’Time (Clock of the Heart)” has also been included on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of 500 songs that shaped rock and roll.  In 1984, Culture Club won the Brit Award for Best British Group and Best British single for ‘’Karma  Chameleon’’ and also won a the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.  Quite simply, Culture Club are considered one of the most successful bands of their generation.

  • Culture Club Delivers!!

by blots on 2016-11-11MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

As they say, good things come to those that wait. Well that was never more true than seeing Culture Club the other night. We'd missed them in Vegas a couple of years ago due to the performance being cancelled prior to Boy Georges throat issues and surgery. His voice was bang on here in Winnipeg. It was hard not to get swept up in the energy the band gave off. Add to that the three amazing backup singers they had and there was no way you were going to sit in your seat. The band looked like they were having such a great time and it certainly showed in the smiling singing faces in the crowd. So glad I finally got to see the original line up. If your having reservations about seeing this band...Don't!, you won't regret it.

  • CC sounded great!

by RonHayismycrush on 2016-11-10MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Had an amazing time at the Culture Club show - Boy George is such an underrated singer and the musicianship of his band mates is top notch. Funny and engaging, I have such a deeper appreciation for Boy George. He still has plenty of soul and the combination of his voice, the horns in the background, his back-up singers and the band in top form made for a fantastic show. Highly recommend it!

  • Back to the 80's

One more group to cross off my bucket list....Boy George did not disappoint. So good to hear all the oldies. They were a large group, all very talented...Boy's voice was great, big and clear...loved it.

  • CCAA: Culture Club's Awesome & Amazing!!!

by Rommel on 2016-11-09MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Platinum Blonde started the show. Though, I'm not familiar with their songs; I enjoyed their performance. Culture Club started their act with some unfamiliar songs to me until they sang one of their hits, "It's A Miracle" which is one of my favorites CC hits. Then Boy George groove with "Move Away", "I'll Tumble 4Ya", & "Miss Me Blind". He also sang their 1st Top Hit song "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me", and "Black Money" - with great vocals and music from the entire band. CC's back-up singers were awesome too! Boy George also did a version of "Everything I Own" with a touch of reggae beat to the audience delight. Towards the end, he sang a few new potential hit songs until he did "The War Song" with excellent vocals. For their encore, of course, they sang the greatest hit, "Karma Chameleon" to the crowd's satisfaction. Then, as tribute to Prince, BG sang "Purple Rain" and they ended the show with one of their dance hits. Truly, an awesome & amazing concert experience!

Platinum Blonde was awesome. Culture Club was good, but they lost the crowd at times - people started to leave when it got slow n the middle.

  • Amazing Concert! so much talent and energy

by Basilika on 2016-11-08Sound academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen most of the big artists and this concert was amazing! I wish I could have seen them again! Boy George has an exceptional voice, he is so talented and unique and the entire band is talented. Looking forward to them coming back to Toronto one day. A lot of people I know didn't know he was in town and are sorry they missed him, more advertisement on behalf of the band would be good. Love is music, soulful and so much energy. I am a bigger fan now than I was in the 80's!

  • Boy George still has it !

by legin on 2016-11-06 Rebel (Formerly known as Sound Academy) - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great venue to see Culture Club, we were able to get down to the front and had a great view. They sounded great and looked like they were having a great time performing together again. Let's hope a new album comes out soon. They did perform one new song which was great, but I think most people were glad they performed all the hits. Plus a tribute to Prince with Purple Rain.

  • Culture shock with Culture Club

  • Culture Club is back!

by cosmicpoodle on 2016-11-05 Rebel (Formerly known as Sound Academy) - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

From the second they hit the stage at the gorgeously renovated Rebel, CC launched into a string of their infectious hits, beginning with Church of the Poison Mind. They ran through EVERYTHING, with a super tight band, and amazing back up singers (but where was Helen Terry, we ask?). Every song was perfectly timed and performed (well, except for The Crying Game, sorry that one needs some work...the wrong key and a muddy arrangement made it almost unrecognizable) and the slower numbers, Black Money and Victims, gave the audience collective goosebumps! Boy George was spirited and cheeky as only he can be, and everyone seemed like they were there to have a great time onstage. We were wondering what they could possibly play following Karma Chameleon as an encore, but I'm not going to ruin the surprise here. Simply stunning. Go see them, if not for the fashion alone! 5 stars!!

  • The best

  • Culture Club Blew The Roof Off Of The Arena!

    by Edmonton1968 on 2016-06-29Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

Honolulu had to look out as Culture Club blew the roof off of the Blaisdell Arena and with all their hits and many new songs there was no telling when or where the roof would land. Boy George was obviously having a great time as he used his famous whitty banter when speaking to the audience members. I would recommend any Culture Club gig and attend one any where in the world.

  • It was an asome concert
