About

Cyndi Lauper is a pop singer and activist from Queens, New York. Upon the release of her 1983 debut album, She’s So Unusual, Lauper became a pop sensation, thanks to the success of Top 5 singles including “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” “She Bop” and “All Through the Night.” Lauper also won Best New Artist at the 1985 Grammys. Her second and third albums, True Colors (1986) and A Night to Remember (1989), added more hit singles like “True Colors” and “I Drove All Night” to her oeuvre and by the end the decade, Lauper had become synonymous with the ’80s new wave movement and synthpop sound. In addition to her twelve solo albums, Lauper also wrote the music and lyrics for the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Kinky Boots, for which she became the first solo woman to ever win the Tony for Best Original Score. In the fall of 2024, the singer embarked on her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour in conjunction with her documentary film LET THE CANARY SING.

  • Was on a concert high for days after

by Amazing voice at 72 on 2025-08-24Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Her singing at 72 was fantastic, performances were great. Style and fashion were fantastic. Played majority of the hits from the 80s. Played some songs off of other albums which were enjoyable. Loved her stories and activism. Love how she raised the LGBTQ flag and share her enthusiasm and passion for being her authentic self.

  • Cyndi Lauper was Fabulous

by Fader on 2025-08-24Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Brilliant show. We had a great viewpoint from our seats on the floor and we were happy to stand with everyone else throughout most of the concert. I understand the type of fold up chair is convenient for set up and take down, but for anyone who would need to sit through a whole show, it sure wouldn't be comfortable. The lighting, sound, and screens were great.

  • Cyndi is a powerful, dynamic artist

by Rik on 2025-08-24Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi was great! Although she's been performing for decades, she is fresh and dynamic. And what an incredible voice, both in song and in her stories. Loved the show!

  • Aging like a fine wine

    by 80sguy on 2025-08-24Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi sounded amazing, she hasn't lost a step. She sung most of her hits and had fans on their feet. She told lots of stories and the visuals were amazing. Only one down side and that was with the arena - some crowd management issues, and only 3 merchandise booths. line ups were so long many missed part of the opening act.

  • Enjoyable

by Gill on 2025-08-24Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

This was a ‘trip down memory lane’ concert for me as I grew up listening to, and dancing to the music of Cyndi Lauper. The vocals weren’t fantastic at times, but no surprise there at 72 years of age! She still rocked the stage with enthusiasm and energy though, so all in all, it was a colourful, fun and enjoyable show.

  • So much fun!!

  • What a FINALE

by Bunny on 2025-08-24Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I am a child of 70/80s music. I had never seen Cyndi live & didnt want to miss her FAREWELL Tour. She did not disappoint. Her storytelling also tugged at my heart. Cyndi still has that amazing voice & still has the moves. Her use of art & recogition to the artists was awesome. The FINALE was EPIC.

  • Cyndi was amazing!

by Cresent Moon 13 on 2025-08-01Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was so amazing to see such iconic rockstar!!!! Cindy still has that amazing, unique voice that makes her so wonderful. She shared the backstory for a few songs. It was nice to hear where her writing came from. Loved this concert!!!

  • Expected to see from row B

by Anne on 2025-08-01Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Great tics, row B to the right of centre stage ......expensive.........great, only 1 row of peeps in front of us. However, people came down from other rows, were not stopped or asked for tics then 3 deep in front, couldn't see stage unless we stood.....at 66 and not so 'in shape' with guest who just finished chemo and couldn't stand the whole time. Really????? Security????? Cyndi was great, don't get me wrong but.........if there is a 'next time' do I buy cheaper seats and just make my way down to the front????????

  • Amazing songstress!

by Trey Douche on 2025-08-01Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Love her, but wish she spent more time singing, and less time talking 🤷🏽‍♂️

  • Cyndi is am ICON!

by Rainbow on 2025-07-31Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

From start to finish I loved every second! I loved hearing her talk about the history of how some of her songs came to be. She killed it, and I cried during true colors when she held the Pride flag. My heart was so happy

  • Amazing!!!

by Audge on 2025-07-30Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi Lauper was by far the best concert I ever attended! She was full of energy all night and sang her heart out ! Well worth the price I paid!

  • Not enough food options or non alcoholic drinks

by Candy on 2025-07-30Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Its and out door event and it was a heat wave. If you have seats they should have some type of fans going. It was way to hot sitting with a crowed of people. Im celiac which more and more people have there wasn't any alternative foods there. The only drinks your could find alternative was pop and water. She was awesome but the heat was unreal.

  • We had a fun night!

by Tess on 2025-07-30Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed our night out at Cyndi Lauper's farewell tour shoe in Toronto. The set list was a mix of all of the greatest hits, peppered with a few songs I'd never heard before. She told some excellent stories along the way as well! The sound quality was really good, especially for an outdoor venue. It was a lot of fun and the tickets were a decent price!

  • Loved her concert!

by Robyn on 2025-07-30Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

So glad I got to see her! She’s an inspiration to everyone. Loved her fashion, her background effects and the way she treated her band and singers. So much respect for artists like her.

  • She can still BOP!

by Kathrin on 2025-07-30Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi Lauper brought her energy and enthusiasm along with some heartfelt stories to the crowd in Toronto. She played all of the hits, although every single one of her songs is a hit in my books. Another fantastic concert by Cyndi.

  • Banging!

by Ash on 2025-07-30Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was such a beautiful performance. She is a beautiful soul and I was so lucky to have experienced her live in my lifetime. You’re rock in’ Cyndi!

  • Excellent show.

by Laura on 2025-07-30Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I really enjoyed the concert. She did all the songs I wanted to hear. She was funny and entertaining between songs but maybe a little less talking.
