Incredible show. Lively, upbeat music. Must see show for all
Huge energy on stage was an inspiration. Loved the jokes and appreciated the honest treatment of some tough realities of Toronto the not so good.
Loved it. Such important content. Fantastic and very representative of the issues in the Black communities.
fantastic show, great actors great set and living theme. you are kept involved continuously . The personal touch is felt from each actor
My friend and I saw “Da link inn my hair“ this past weekend and absolutely loved it. We laughed, cried and sang along. Would 100% see it again and I’ve told a bunch of my friends to see it if they got the chance. Bravo on a great play.
It was an evening of laughter, joy and tears. Great performances that celebrate the trials and tribulations of women!
Relatable, relevant and real! This production was everything we needed and more! Thank you for bringing this brilliance to the stage!
I loved this play. Clever & timely script, excellent acting, wonderful singing & lively dancing, perfect sets & the portrayal of a beautiful sense of community among a group of women of different ages who share their sorrows & joys in such a realistic way. Although some of the sharing was emotionally heavy, that was life fir these women, & overall the play was so uplifting. Congratulations & thank you to all who made this happen!
My niece and I had a wonderful evening seeing the da Kink In My Hair. Brilliant performances, what great black talent!! My sisters made me so proud to be a black woman.. Thank you and keep going.
So well done!!! Acting, singing, storyline and it truths. It has it all ! It will touch you and stay in your thoughts .
Funny, poignant, real, raw, touching, sad, uplifting. All apply. A great show by some amazing talents. See the show, you will not be disappointed.
An amazing show that your parents and you can enjoy, especially if your from yad. I highly recommend you go see it.
Unfortunately, we did not get to see 'da Kink In My Hair! We have been attending Soulpepper plays for many years, even before they were housed in the Distillery District. When I bought the tickets, I never even thought to look at where the play was being performed. We showed up at The Young Centre at 7:45 the evening of our tickets only to find out that we should have been at the Bluma Appel. By that time, it was too late to get to the Bluma Appel and we sadly missed the performance. It would have been helpful if, when purchasing the tickets, there had been a warning, in VERY LARGE PRINT, indicating the play was NOT at the Yonge Centre.
It was amazing. Had me cracking up lol. Excellent vocals.
It will have you laughing, crying, wailing, reflecting. Unbelievable.
What a great show, from the cast to the stage display everything was amazing! These ladies put on a great show, it left us with many discussions and shared experiences. It definitely left a mark on everyone in the room. If you haven't seen 'da Kink in My Hair yet, please do, you will not regret it!
Trey Anthony is a very talented playwright. Da Kink in my Hair was very good play. It touches on the everyday lives of black families . Its worth every moment of your time. Please take your youths and go see it.
This was such an amazing show. The ladies, the vibe, the story line, everything was the best ive ever seen. I hope they make another one soon!
The show is experiential. I really appreciated the many viewpoints of the different people that enter the shop. I like the topics that they touched. I thought they were all very pertinent to the African diaspora, and the many types of Black people found across the world I would definitely watch this again. Are multiple.
