About

Daughtry, one of the most visible and best-selling rock bands of the 21st century, has sold out concerts across the globe. Their debut album, the self-titled Daughtry, was the top-selling album of 2007 and was the fastest selling rock debut album in Soundscan history. It was also nominated for 4 GRAMMY Awards and won 4 American Music Awards and 7 Billboard Music Awards, including Album of the Year. Subsequent albums, Leave This Town (2009), Break The Spell (2011), and Baptized (2013) have all gone Platinum, with Cage To Rattle (2018) certified Gold. In 2021, Daughtry released their album Dearly Beloved, which marked a return to their rock roots and a return to the top of the rock charts with their singles "World On Fire," "Heavy Is The Crown," and "Changes Are Coming," each reaching the Top 10 on Billboard's Rock Airplay chart. With the success of their 2023 smash cover, "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" featuring Halestorm's Lzzy Hale going top 10, and the follow up of "Artificial" landing Daughtry its very first #1 at rock radio, they have no sign of slowing.

  • Daughtry was absolutely awesome!

by highflyerjohnson on 2009-11-03Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I've been a fan of Chris Daughtry ever since I saw him on Season 5 of "American Idol", so I knew that, the second I learned he was coming to my area, I had to get tickets. The concert was, as I said, absolutely awesome and he was totally in top form that night. Although, not having heard anything else from him besides the track "Home" (which was played as the Season 6 "American Idol" exit song), all of it was new to me, but it was still a fantastic concert. My only real complaints were the fact that, with everyone standing up, they were blocking my view; I could've easily stood up as well, but I didn't want to put too much pressure on my feet. Another complaint that I had was the constant flashing lights. From where I was sitting (FLR L, Row 28, Seat 9), there were several moments where the lights were flashing right in my eyes, which made it hard to see, although I could still hear the performance, which was good. I just hope that when I come back to the ACC for Jeff Dunham's show in January, the issues are minimal, but since it's a comedy show, I can't see those two previous problems happening. :-)

  • DAUGHTRY GETTING BETTER EACH TIME!!

by SVIDDY on 2009-11-03Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Seen Daughtry now 3 times, each time getting better & better. Awesome group in concert, had a little bit of a Nickelback feel to their concert with all the fire and explosions!! Highly recommended

  • Was unforgettable

the show was amazing. daughtry put on a really good show and as expected of a main act blew away the openers. for a band on their 1st tour as the main act, they did a fabulous job.

  • Daughtry was OK

    by Chance11220 on 2009-11-03Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Saw the Daughtry show last night at the ACC, the music was great but the lighting between songs and the sound quality were less than stellar. I never thought I would complain that a show wasn't loud enough but I was able to hear almost every word of the conversation of the three jokers behind us and it was distracting. Seats were great, when Daughtry sang it was great but they kept closing the lights between songs and there was no chatter or talking with the audience about the songs. Left me feeling a bit let down. Ironic, the concert was great but when they weren't playing it was not a good show. Theory of a Deadman and Cavo put on a great show and the evening balanced out.

no stage presence, way to loud to much flash, the first band was the best theory of deadman - yuck overall very disappointed with the whole show, glad we did not pay more money for tickets

  • Chris Daughtry (Nov 2nd @ ACC)

by Luded on 2009-11-03Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

This was our first time seeing Chris Daughtry, we've been fans since his first record (cd). My wife was saying on the way to the show,...."I hope he sounds good live...." We've been to a few shows and sometimes the performance doesn't live up to the hype because the band didn't seem to sound as good as good as you would think when seeing a band live. To start off, Cavo and Theory of a Deadman were both great opening act's. Although it was hard hear the lead singer for Theory of a Deadman when he was singing. His voice seemed to get lost in the music. Daughtry came out and Chris just blew everyone away with the strength of his voice. I didn't expect the feel to be as "hard Rock" as it turned out to be. It's actually cool when musicians change up songs with a little improv. Daughtry seems like a blue collar working man's band, all the guys on stage seemed down to earth and you can tell they love to play for big crowds.

They absolutely ROCKED! The warmup bands were excellent too

  • Daughtry was amazing

by NatMac on 2009-11-03Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I thought that the overall concert was just amazing. Cavo, who I never heard of were ok. Theory of a dead man were really good. They interacted with their audience which was great, and Daughtry was awesome. I thought that at the beginning of Daughtry there was alot of gaps between the songs but it got better as the show went on. They had great special effects and they sounded great. They did a great job covering their new album but also a bit of the old one too. Also did some non Daughtry songs to captivate the non Daughtry fans. Chris could have interacted a bit more with his fans at the beginning but warmed up after the first few songs. By the end, the band and the audience were just having the best time ever. Overall, it was amazing and I would definitely go back to see them again and recommend this event to everyone.

  • Good, but could have been better

by TayM on 2009-11-03Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Daughtry was amazing. However, screens would have really helped in such a large venue. The sound was great, but it would have been nice to see!

  • Worth the wait!!!!

    by ForeverYoung45 on 2009-11-03Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I have been a fan since Chris was on Idol. Loved his voice and style right from the start. Bought both of his CDs right away and have been waiting for him to come to Canada in Concert. He didn't let me down. It was an awesome concert!!! I can only imagine what the show will be like in a couple of years when he returns and has more money behind him for additional effects. I will be there!!!!

  • Daughtry decent

    by Blond78 on 2009-11-03Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Theory of a Deadman was not that great. Out of tune for the most part. Heard Daughtry was pretty bad, so I went in expecting to be dissappointed, but I was actually quite happy. He put on a good show. Did a good mix of new stuff with his older stuff. Just wish he didn't do covers of other bands. All in all, I would go again.

  • Daughtry was impressive. Thoery rocked!

Concert was great. "In the Air Tonight" was fabulous! Sorry he didn't do my favourite song "What About Now", but otherwise, totally enjoyed myself.
