Dave Chappelle, mastermind behind sketch comedy goldmine Chappelle's Show, made a triumphant return to stand-up comedy in 2013. While he's beloved for his famous impersonations of Rick James and Prince, Chappelle doesn't rely on old material for his stand-up act, treating fans to an all-original show featuring extensive improvisation as he interacts with audiences. At his 2013 performances on The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, which he co-headlined with Flight of the Conchords, Chappelle had fans rolling on the floor, building anticipation for his highly coveted 2014 tour dates.

Born David Khari Webber Chappelle in Washington, D.C., Dave Chappelle studied theatre arts in high school before moving to New York City to pursue standup comedy. Despite getting booed off stage at the Apollo Theater's infamous "Amateur Night," he remained resilient, going on to make a name for himself on the New York comedy circuit. Following several successful film appearances in the '90s, including a starring role in 1998 cult classic Half Baked, Chappelle debuted his namesake sketch comedy show on Comedy Central in 2003, finding both critical and commercial success. In 2006 he released Dave Chappelle's Block Party, a concert film set in Brooklyn featuring performances by Kanye West, The Roots, and a temporarily-reunited Fugees.

Show was really good . Chappelle is a great story teller. Where they lose the fifth star perfect show is the disorganization of leaving your cell phone pouch and Dave felt it neccessary to get into mean spirited argument with heckler in upper deck which brought down vibe
Great evening, performances did not disappoint. Headliner could have performed longer than 60 mins. Too bad 5 mins of his set was wasted on dealing with a heckler.
Finally got to see the goat!! He was amazing! Although the sound and audio was very up and down. It was like they didn't do a sound check and the sound was very in and out. At times I couldn't hear him and at times it was very loud. It took away from my experience as I was looking to crossing off my bucket list by seeing Dave Chappelle. Dave was epic, but the audio let me down. And for paying so much for tickets, it's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.
Hilarious show with non stop laughs. Lines to get in were a bit chaotic but doesn't hinder the experience.
Opening acts were a great warmup and Dave Chappelle was amazing. He is a comedic genius!
Was a lot of the same stuff over and over again. Audio was a little quiet when Dave chapelle came on but it was fine for all the opening acts - weird. If you’ve seen his Netflix specials this was just the same stuff regurgitated with not too much extra to justify the price point for myself.
Dave was as good as always, punchline master. Unfortunately wasn’t as ruthless as i hoped he’d be, but was still an exciting show.
The venue was perfect. At times it was a little difficult to hear the performers but overall it was great! All the comedians did an amazing job! It was worth flying from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories to see Dave Chapelle even though I had to sell my body to make the trip, lol.
I feel Dave has lost respect for his audience. He barely had any funny material let alone anything resembling a proper stand-up set. He just goes up there and talks incoherently. I think he's past his prime, unless he takes time to put together a proper set like "For what it's worth" that would be worth the audiences hard earned money, I really think it's not worth it. He just didn't seem to look like he came prepared to do a performance for the audience, he may be getting too arrogant in that he thinks the love for him is unconditional and that he's the best ever (he won't miss an opportunity to tell you how good he is which is quite cringe). The opening 3 acts were pretty good though, they definitely had more structure and were funny.
Always amazing. I never miss when he is in town. Not for the easily offended.
The show from beginning to end was FANTASTIC!!! Dave Chappelle is the GOAT!
What a way to bring in the New Year!! Clever, funny, radical, intelligent, brilliant, genius. Dave Chappelle is one of a kind, a comedic legend and for good reason. He makes you think and says things that no other comedian is willing to say. I love how filthy, witty, current and unapolegtic he is. You also come out a better person, a little more inclusive. The reigning legend of comedy! What a night. Just wished his show was 75 or 90 mins. He was on for 1 hr., I blinked and it was over. Then again, with his wit and hilarity, you'll always be left wanting more!!
Great vibe, solid laughs and all the comedians were hilarious. Just the horrible wait to get in was the only negative part of the night.
Dave and the opening acts were amazing. I hope to be able to see him again.
Best comedy show I’ve ever been to. Dave is the GOAT!
Kind of seemed sloppy, night after NYE, so not his best quality, and jokes heavily based on one topic, not as much thought as other specials etc. It was okay, expected more for my first Dave Chappelle show, after watching all his previous ones.
Just unreal! Got to live my dream from youth ages ago and see a true comedy hero in the flesh. Dave’s a living legend
Dave did it again - loved the rawness in his comedy and he always keeps it 100%
I thought he would have been more political and insightful. Felt like he toed the line a little too much. It was sometimes difficult to hear him because of how he held and moved the mic around. I'd go again in the hopes that his new material is better but overall good time out with the hubby.
Only downside were the phone pouches. There’s got to be a faster and more efficient way of getting this done. At the end there were just random people standing outside with the plate to open them. And very few of them at that. Otherwise, great show.
