My expectations were high for this shoe, after seeing David the last time he was in town. My expectations were EXCEEDED!! Loved every second of this amazing show. My fave...Slippery People!!! Amazing!

  • Bryne is an icon of joy!

    by Erin T on 2025-10-27Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing staging, note-perfect, outstandingly energetic performance, both in the music and in choreography (led by the indefatigable 73-year old Byrne himself) and the perfect venue to house the event in Massey Hall! If you've been holding off on seeing David Byrne, thinking nothing will compare to Stop Making Sense-era Talking Heads, I understand -- but you're missing not only creative stagings of work from that part of his career, but also one of the most inspiring second acts in contemporary pop culture.

  • Fantastic!

by Lubbylu on 2025-10-27Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Was lucky enough to catch 2 of the shows on this tour. One on the floor, 4th row and one in the gallery, way up high. Both were fabulous but I highly recommend seeing it from gallery seats so you can see what’s happening on the floor.

  • David Byrned down the house!

by Kerry Gordon on 2025-10-27Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing stage show and performance by David and the band/dancers! One of the best I have seen. It was hard to compare to a regular band/artist concert as the staging was all projected images and lights. Amazing technology with lights following individual performers moving around the stage. Amazing show! The sound was perfect! First time standing in the Standing Room Only area in the balcony corner. The view was good. the pillar blocks some performers depending where they are standing but that's expected. Standing room was good. The only issue is that it is beside the door that people use to go to the washrooms or grab a drink so the door was constantly opening and closing non-stop throughtout the show. The light from the hallway comes through and sometimes people stand in the door way etc. Maybe a divider of some type could be there to block the light hitting the SRO people? Not sure. If people stand up in the directly across from the SRO section your view is completely blocked as you can't see over them or between people. Nothing you can do about that but SRO people (10) need to step down and go to aisles to see any of the show at that point (mostly for the encore(s). I guess it was expected at that point but when people are sitting you can see the show. The overhang blocks some of the sound but they installed a speaker behind the overhang for the area. Not sure if that was there before but I'm sure it helps as the sound was great.

  • XCLNT SHOW!

by Stephen on 2025-10-27Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I really didn't know what to expect from David, but previous reviews said go, so I did. Very, very well done. Massey's a great venue and I found my new fav seats. The bar could stock some other mixers such as root beer or ginger beer (dark and stormies), along with lemon wedges (!) and the food could be better. I understand they are snacks, but there are many choices out there. But to the show. Just really lot of fun, very creative, the visual element was inspiring. No complaints. Did I enjoy all of the video segments, no, but that paled in comparison to the entirety of the show. Bravo David, thanks for a fun night out! Stephen

by Crimson TO on 2025-10-27Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Byrne still puts on amazing show - full of energy and he sounds incredible. Great to see more than half the setlist was TH material. Great versions of psycho killer and LDW. Not to be missed if you’re a fan of talking heads.
