Animals on a warm Coquitlam night!

by beerlover on 2015-04-21Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

20minutes late starting annoying. Pretty full house gave Eric a warm welcome. House sound fantastic. Eric's voice took one number to warm up but then was as powerful as ever. Set list was well chosen and good renditions of new and old tunes. Solid rythm section. Red Young as fabulous as ever what a player. Bill Watts great tone and tasteful guitar, unfortunately had a few gremlins in his signal chain on the last couple of numbers. All over great concert and wonderful to see Eric in fine form with such a good band.

    Fabulous concert

Eric still rocks! His wonderful voice has not diminished over the years, still as strong and rich as ever. The band he is traveling with now is fantastic. Much better musicians than the old Animals of course, so gave the old songs new life.

    Eric Burdon & The Animals

    by LobeyDosser66 on 2014-03-18Casino Rama - Rama

For a 72 year old man, he has still got it. His voice is as powerful as ever and boy did he "belt it oot"!!!! The band was truly amazing and the talent was second to none. Confirms the fact with me that I was born in the wrong era. Timeless!!!

    Eric Burden still rocks!

by Buttspock on 2014-03-17Casino Rama - Rama

OMG. I was totally unprepared...I was tired, weary...and almost considered not making the drive to Casinorama, which is about two hours from my home. I got there just as he took the stage, and he was infriggingcredible!!!! I was surprised that there weren't more people jumping up and down dancing (like we were), but maybe they were too depressed from gambling beforehand. All's I can say is that if you have a chance to see this dude - the show is well worth the money. I loved it.

Eric Burdon brought back so many beautiful memories. At 72, he still has the pipes to belt out those unforgettable, iconic tunes. WAY TO GO!!!

    Surprise, surprise!!

by Meir on 2014-03-17Casino Rama - Rama

Eric Burdon & the Animals were great! Eric is still a compelling blues singer. The band with him are the best. Three guitars; two keyboards; one drums and one conga/percussion. The show was exactly 90 minutes including two encores. They sang all the songs plus a couple of great new songs - Water and a tribute to Bo Diddley. I was not expecting such a terrific show nor did I realize all the hits that Eric had. No wonder he was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 20 years ago. He is a living legend.

Excellent show. Disappointed that only 1 hit from War days was played.

Eric Burdon and the Animals still rock!!

by Longtallrower on 2014-03-17Casino Rama - Rama

This concert was amazing. Who knew you could be 73 years old and still be able to belt out a song like you did 40 to 50 years ago. Eric's band was second to none. The crowd loved them so much that they all came out for 3 encores. I didn't want the concert to end, and no one else did either. So glad I made the trip to see them.

Eric Burdon still has the chops! Played all the great venerable tunes. Duelling keyboards YA! 2 drum kits with varied percussion. Back-up Animals were amazing. All BLUES roots!

didn't really know what to expect as I had read mixed reviews. Then the show started....Wow! Eric sounded great and his band was really tight. I had invited friends to join us and they thoroughly enjoyed the show as well. I would go back to see him again

    Classic Eric!!!!!

by Swazee on 2014-02-19The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Still crazy after all these years. True professional and very entertaining. His voice was the classic Burdon growl and blues sounding voice of yesterday. He played the crowd well mixed the old with the new and kept rockin on. Even though I wanted to hear some other songs like Sky Pilot, Monterey, to name a few; the play set was excellent. Good encore with 2 songs also. In this day and age of high ticket pricing the price for this concert was spot on and you got your monies worth!! Will see him again if he comes back this way.

    Eric Burdon&Animals

by 300c on 2014-02-19The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Eric Burdon's voice was amazing. A smaller stature of man with this large voice. Complimented with a really tight band, and special mention to piano and organ\ synthesizer player. Sound levels and vocal\ instrument mix was excellent. So very glad I got to see this band from my early teens, and return to 1969 if only for a couple of hours.

    Eric still excellent

by Anonymous on 2014-02-18The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Great show at the Colosseum. Eric Burdon delivered a 90 minute set that was powerful, nostalgic and fresh. The new tracks from Til Your River Runs Dry (Water, Bo Diddley Special and Wait) were fantastic mixes of the old Animals sound and more modern textures and themes. Eric's voice was in fine shape and his band was able to extend many of the tracks without making them sound boring or overblown. The major classics were played with enthusiasm (House of the Rising Sun, It's My Life, Don't Bring Me Down, Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood) and all were extended with numerous solos by various members of Burdon's band. At 72, Eric Burdon can still play Rock and Roll.
