About

Over the course of his more than 50-year career, guitar legend Eric Clapton has covered an immense amount of ground. Along with dozens of album releases and concerts worldwide, he’s received three Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions — one for his solo career and two more as a member of both Cream and the Yardbirds. He’s also earned an unofficial spot high on the list of best rock guitarists of all time.

Though his eponymous solo debut surfaced in 1970, Clapton’s solo career took off in the mid-‘70s with “461 Ocean Boulevard” and its now-ubiquitous single, “I Shot the Sheriff.” The English performer has since released 19 more solo sets, most recently “Old Sock.” That 13-track collection features mostly covers, as well as guest appearances by several established musicians, including J.J. Cale, Paul McCartney, Chaka Khan and Steve Winwood.

Clapton’s numerous tours - both alone and with his many projects — have canvased the globe, with tickets selling out regularly at iconic venues like London’s Royal Albert Hall and New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

  • Unforgettable

Eric Clapton delivered an exceptional show. Despite being 80 years old, he doesn’t let it show. His performances are still filled with passion and joy in playing. He clearly showed that he’s still more than capable of impressing. And what can be said about his musicians and backup singers—it was outstanding!! Thank you, Mr. Clapton!

Clapton quite possibly the best guitarist in the world showed us why. He definitely is a master. However, he has no engagement with the audience whatsoever. He said “thanks” following the first song and never again spoke a word. He didn’t even introduce his band. Does this impact the music…. No; but it certainly downgrades the overall concert. Eric take a lesson from Elton John or Paul McCartney. They make you feel welcome and important.

My Best Concert ever. Eric Clapton is pure talent and is truely amazing. An oppertunity to see him that I am so glad that I did not miss.

  • Great to see a legend....but

    by Aylmer_gal on 2023-09-18Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

It was great to see such a talented legend but the mixing was off and often times you couldn't hear Eric's vocals well. And, sadly, there was no interaction or acknowledgement of the audience in Toronto.

  • Fantastic!

Took my son and his wife for their birthday and we had a rocking wonderful time. Clapton has always been on my bucket list and he definitely was worth it. Not a man of many words just playing music! All the hits and then some. Jimmie Vaughn was amazing too. Great show!

  • Probably one of the best Clapton concerts I have seen

by Martin on 2023-09-17Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic band in a great mood. To see Eric Clapton smile during solos of his colleagues was extraordinary. Great musicians and Eric Clapton with apparent fun, this is not guaranteed. I have seen him several times and beside a concert at Royal Albert hall in London around 20 years ago, this was my best Clapton experience. Unfortunately I missed some great stuff like white room or sunshine of your love.

  • Musical Legend

by Conberry on 2023-09-17Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Eric Clapton and his musicians were nothing less than spectacular. As a lifelong fan I was in awe of the talent that was on the stage that night. The atmosphere was wonderful and I felt all of the fans enjoyed the concert. It was truly an experience that I will treasure forever. I had goosebumps!

My seat was broken, I reported to service man (beside entrance). Waited almost 1/2 hour to fix - was done when performance started

  • Clapton is amazing, venue was not

by daveman on 2023-09-15Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Eric clapton was great. Scotiabank Arena (formerly Air Canada Centre) was Not. Sound was lousy. I have never been to a major concert with such poor sound. The seats (first row of section 120) were add ons and were so uncomfortable that i needed to stand for most of the concert. I have tickets lined up for another concert and if the seats are the same I will NEVER go to this venue again for a concert. Not worth the hefty price of tickets
